  1. I know we have much fear because we are not a nation of morality or spirtuality as we once were but there is a still a huge percentage who are. Therein resides the perception that it would be a true Civil War and not a War between the States because there are many of us who will not go willingly into slavery.

  2. Timely post, my daughter is learning about the Russian Revolution and Stalin and how he hated the USA. Don't people realize that dominating leaders aren't going to be living at the same level as everyone else, they are always going to be better off than the people?

  3. That is the insidiousness of the lefty drumbeat that America is "just another country."

Nothing worth fighting for but my government-supplied monthly bag of peanuts... That mindset will be this nation's death.

  4. We're headed in that direction for sure.

    CULTURAL MARXISM

  7. I don't give the Socialist nearly as much credit as they give themselves for America's anaemia. Our moral problems started with the birth control pill. That's when marriage lost value, children and family lost value, religion lost value. Anyone who disbelieves this is free to look it up for themselves.

Thanks for the great link on Bales!!!

  8. Our domestic leftists are more like Robespierre, Mao, & Pol Pot. Stalin was essentially an ignorant thug.

  9. In reality Stalin was nothing less than a cold-hearted sell-out willing to kill to get his way to the top of the wrung.

His power was in his ability to negotiate, divide and conquer amongst the powerful players of his time and that is basically it.

From that perspective, I would not read much into what he says but rather that he said a lot and thus you will find things that may match events now.

What is important, if you are going to try and "know" Stalin is that he would give up and sell out anything to get his way. He was a Georgian but that did not fit, so he became a born-again Russian. He wanted to be a priest, but that took integrity so he not only quit but chose to no longer believe in God and made the clergy suffer. He was second-rate when it came to oratory and popularity, so he basically ensured that those better left or got killed. He had freckles that in his childhoold others would laugh at him - so he ensured that it was taboo to talk about and all the paintings were doctored to remove them.

In English, he is called a thug. No more and no less.

ps, what is collapsing in your country? From over here it looks like solidarity and national unity.

  10. Hmmmmmm ? Seems to me what Stalin Professed is happening today, Courtesy of Barack Hussein Obama...not suprizing considering he is a fan of Olinsky and Olinsky was a fan of Stalin. Somebody should photo shop the picture of Stalin and replace it with Obummer. AOW, i read the comments from all the resident Libtards, and i must say it is futile to argue with people that suffer from a mental disorder, and delusions. It is entertaining though and i noticed how quick they are to change the subject when you clearly refute their dribble !

  11. Unfortunately, those very words are unfolding right before our eyes.

I still harbor hope for this nation, not much, but it is there.

it is futile to argue with people that suffer from a mental disorder, and delusions

    No doubt.

You know what's really sad about all this blogging? Nobody ever changes anyone else's mind -- even in the fact of evidence presented over and over again.

I'm still trying to figure out why Duck posted that comment to this thread -- or to any thread at this blog. Maybe he got web sites mixed up in his duck brain.

  18. CULTURAL MARXISM by Linda Kimball

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2007/02/cultural_marxism.html

    Opening paragraphs:

There are two misconceptions held by many Americans. The first is that communism ceased to be a threat when the Soviet Union imploded. The second is that the New Left of the Sixties collapsed and disappeared as well. "The Sixties are dead," wrote columnist George Will ("Slamming the Doors," Newsweek, Mar. 25, 1991)

Because the New Left lacked cohesion it fell apart as a political movement. However, its revolutionaries reorganized themselves into a multitude of single issue groups. Thus we now have for example, radical feminists, black extremists, anti-war ‘peace' activists, animal rights groups, radical environmentalists, and ‘gay' rights groups. All of these groups pursue their piece of the radical agenda through a complex network of organizations such as the Gay Straight Lesbian Educators Network (GSLEN), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), People for the American Way, United for Peace and Justice, Planned Parenthood, Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), and Code Pink for Peace.

Both communism and the New Left are alive and thriving here in America. They favor code words: tolerance, social justice, economic justice, peace, reproductive rights, sex education and safe sex, safe schools, inclusion, diversity, and sensitivity. All together, this is Cultural Marxism disguised as multiculturalism. ...

  19. FT,
    That article is spot on.

And we see those buzzwords in play all the time -- not the least of that play in our educational system.

Frankly, I do despair of turning back the Leftist tide in America. The children are being trained to be Leftist zombies!

  20. AOW,

The problem, of course, is that the left has successfully portrayed itself as THE Champion of Human Rights and Justice worldwide.

Who could come out against "peace' -- against "equal rights for women and minorities," -- against greater safety in the workplace and fairer labor practices, -- against greater accommodation for the handicapped -- greater help for the under-privileged -- against protection for persecuted homosexuals, etc. and NOT easily be made to look like a villain?

That is EXACTLY what the left has done with tremendous success. Joe McCarthy may have been a clumsy, unattractive, mean-spirited individual, but he was CORRECT. The battle against Communism was effectively lost when the clever fiends promoting Cultural Marxism through entertainment, news and information and the educational establishment were successful getting the country to see the House Committee on Un-American Activities Committee as the BAD GUYS -- a victory they've been rubbing in with reckless abandon and unholy glee ever since.

Younger people than I -- many now middle-aged -- who imagine themselves to be "conservative," or :libertarian" are incapable of grasping what I just said.

I'm very much afraid that unless a MIRACLE occurs, we really are DOOMED.

McCarthy may have been a clumsy, unattractive, mean-spirited individual, but he was CORRECT.

Have you read Ann Coulter's book on the topic?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Good morning, AOW,

I haven't read Ann's book -- because of the eye problems I've mentioned -- all of my reading has been confined to the computer for the past ten years, so I'm limited to online columns, posted articles, blogs and books no longer under copyright.

The computer enables me to magnify what I read to the 18-point type I require to read with any degree of comfort -- and even then the words start to "swim" before my eyes if I stay here very long.

Not a Pity Party - just a plain old statement of fact.

The left could never have gotten anywhere without it's wily, insidious campaign of vilification against our traditional Guiding Lights and cherished icons and cultural talismans.

It always make me laugh -- bitterly and sardonically -- when vociferous tormentors demand "facts" from me to support my allegations. The abysmal state of the popular culture, public education and political discourse are all the evidence any sensible person should need to realize how low we've sunk and how confused and unravelled we've become in the past fifty-sixty years.

I'm old enough to REMEMBER Joe McCarthy. In fact I remember Harry Truman very well, and even have some dim recollections of FDR. I was still a small boy then, but "The Aura of the Era" had impressed itself very well on me -- and has remained with me ever since.

It's possible the saddest, most damaging thing we've ever been through -- since Lincoln's War -- was the successful discrediting and dissolution of the anti-Communist Movement.

    ~ FreeThinke

  23. FT,
Coulter's book is available in an audio version, I think. Perhaps you can find the book in that medium at your local public library.

I don't remember those hearings with which McCarthy is associated. I DO remember Mom listening to some of the hearings on the radio and possibly watching something of them on our grainy b&w television.

My mother (b. 1916) personally knew Ray Jenkins. She got all wound up when she saw Jenkins on the cover of Time Magazine.

But for the life of me, I can't recall what she said about those hearings or the people involved -- except that she ranted about the discrediting of the hearings.

  24. The sad thing is I think I know why Duck psoted that....

This is a guess but many people believe relegion is a form of slavery. I believe the Communists even referred to relegion as the opium for the masses or something similiar.

Yes relegion can become a form of slavery especially if you are told to blow up yourself to get 72 virgins or strap a bomb to your child or taught to call those who oppose you dmeons (DNC Maxine Waters). I could go on but the point is relegion or the man made structure of faith can become bondage. For this reason our Constitution forbids our covernment from forcing us to engage in actions contrary to our fatih.

  25. Blogginator,
Karl Marx said, "Religion in the opiate of the masses."

Yes relegion can become a form of slavery especially if you are told to blow up yourself...

You'll never get that admission from the Left. The Left would rather target evangelicals.

  26. The left thinks they can some how dodge the practices of Islam. They drive around in their Hybrid vehicles with "Coexist" bumper stickers completely oblivious to the reality. They think Islam is like Western Christianity where our faith has been trampled by the PC culture to the point you dare not carry a Bible out of fear. Faith is limited to a few hours on Sunday morning in Western culture...the rest of the time we pray to the "GOd of More and the "God of Me". The left will gladly take the mark of the beast and fall into servitude......
