It's almost as if the guy doesn't know what he's saying. And I wonder of all the leaders of these countries know that he's really just paying condescending lip service to them but won't say anything about it because of his media entourage.
Either way those around him owe it to him and the United States to sit him down, show him a few of the videos and get him to wake up to his own gaseous platitudes.
World events would seem to indicate other countries consider him in the category of useful idiot...
But let's look at the body language of the other leaders. It is difficult to draw much of a conclusion because these folks actually are good at public speaking and because of the duration of each clip.
However, one can conclude they look bored. One guy is even playing with his hair while Mr. Empty suit is talking.
Most of the time he gets no response to his compliment about boxing above their weight or the assertion that they are America's strongest ally.
I counted 3 times when he did get a positive response. Twice it was a slight head nod and once a smile...I would sugeest these were involuntary and in the category of "that's nice to say but I do not really believe you"
My conclusion based on the limited data from the clip...they think he is an amateur and a joke.....
The technological ability to "edit" recorded speech and videotape has done the greatest disservice to Truth imaginable.
That said, the president is a very poor off-the-cuff speaker, and frankly not as good as GWB in reading from a teleprompter. And GWB's inability to speak was -- and remains-- an embarrassment to our nation.
The sad truth is that the American Public does not like -- and instinctively distrusts -- really smart, fully informed, truly articulate people.
That's why we have the government we have. It is "We the People" who are STUCK on STUPID.
The government we put in power is a reflection of who WE are. Make no mistake about that.
It's long past time to review that passage in the Bible about moats and beams in the eye.
LOL, that's a cutie. Obama is just mouthing words and keeping up a front. He doesn't give a rat's butt about any of those countries or anything else except what his owners agenda is. He's a puppet with a boring script.
If you give the same compliment to everyone it really doesn't mean much does it? In fact, it's a bit of an insult.
A couple of months back we had the video of Obama's state of the union speech comparing it with prior state of the union addresses in which he said nearly the exact same thing.
He really is an empty suit. It's all style and no substance.
And for me at least, I find his style to be grating and arrogant.
Obama can rest assured that his way below average effort will be decried as excellent work by his supporters. Interference will be run for his mediocrity because they have an agenda in common that doesn't involve truth but ideology.
Liberalmann, You've already posted a link to that video here at this blog -- and elsewhere, too, I noticed.
I did watch it.
I'm not sure what Santorum was trying to say when he stumbled all over the place. Perhaps he was going to say "nigger" and caught himself, but the context of what Santorum was saying at the time doesn't fit that scenario.
Why these constant references back to Bush Jr? Talk about stuck on stupid...
Aparently Liberalman cant not get Bush off his brain.
In lieu of professional help to liberalman and all socialists. We did not nor do we revere our elected representatives the way you socialists do. Ok maybe a little for Reagan but he did lead the way out of Carter's disaster of a Presidency and yes he did stare down the greatest threat to liberty on the planet at that time but our adoration for Reagan is nothing like the slavish deotion you all have to Obama.
Retunring to Bush Jr, you act like we dont know he bumbled a lot of words. News flash we do. But he was never styled as a great speaker. Bush Jr made many mistakes. I would go so far as to suggest Bush's lame 2nd term actually allowed for someone as unqualified and ignorant as Obama to win.
Bush did have low unemployment, cheap gas, GDP of about 5%, and a national debt half of what we have now....
I would take back Bush with all of his Bushisms and errors in reaching across the aisle every day of the week over this empty suit.....

Blogginator, I had great respect and admiration for Ronald Reagan. However, I did not revere him. That kind of worship of ANY politician -- or any human being -- goes against my grain.
I did my share of criticizing GWB while he was in office. That said, I prefer him very much over the weasel that we presently have in the White House.

Would not it be great if in our freedom of the press we actually had amedia outlet that played this kind of stuff....
ReplyDeleteIt would make an awesome Saturday Night Live skit.....
If the media would report honestly even half of the time, this guy would not have a chance in November
That is truly amazing. He's supposed to be such a genius, above all the rest of us, and he sounds like a broken record.

It's all bs, at the national as well as international level.
ReplyDeleteThe Europeans understand it much better than we do. We still fall in love with out candidates and worship them. you don't see that so much in Europe.
He is pathetic and so are the people that support him. We don't need leaders that think. We need voters that think.
ReplyDeleteHey, it's hard coming up with a custom pander for every meeting.
ReplyDeleteHeh, for everyone of these I can counter with ten from Bush.
ReplyDeleteWhat, Israel doesn't punch above its weight?
ReplyDeleteLiberalmann,
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can do so.
But I'll bet that you never said, "GWB is the smartest President EVAH!" the way that you're always singing the praises of Barack Hussein Obama.
FT,
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a book published with a list of GWB's "Bushisms"?
The sad truth is that the American Public does not like -- and instinctively distrusts -- really smart, fully informed, truly articulate people.
When did that shift happen, anyway?

ReplyDeletePS: My Easter Break has officially begun! As of 3:00 PM today.
Now I may actually have several days to blog. The last few days have been GRUELING! Students of all ages were "all wound up."

Did you see this video of his phoney plastic smile?
ReplyDeletehttp://furtheradventuresofindigored.blogspot.com/2012/03/obamas-plastered-smile.html
Pretty lame Indigo. The guy has a standard photo smile. BFD. We all do.
ReplyDeleteSo it's OK for Santorium to call Obama a nig...?

Indigo Red,
ReplyDeleteObama has learned how to work that smile into an art -- or so says one of my UK friends.
But do his eyes "smile"? Not much.
Even liberals have commented about Obama's lack of empathy as one of his greatest flaws.
To lack empathy is to lack humanity.
