Officially, I'm on a blog break because Warren is visiting.
But THIS happened yesterday: Who's on Trump's short list to replace Supreme Court Justice Kennedy?

Nature Abhors a Vacuum
BY SILVERFIDDLE....
Demographics is destiny. You can go Yahoogle birth rates by nation and see who is growing and who is dying.
Another useful way of looking a global demographics is by the median age of each nation.
The Global Median Age is 30.1 as of 2016 estimates. The darker parts of the map are older: Europe, North America, Japan... and the younger nations are in green and yellow.
The median age of the Palestinian Territories is 19, and almost all African nations are lower than that.
The median age of Germany--a very old country--is 47, with the rest of Europe all in their 40's. The US stands at 38, thanks to all the children arriving here, since our native-born birth rate is not much better than Olde Europe.
This explains the epochal global migration we are living through. Nature abhors a vacuum.
What do we do about it?

Blog Break
Comment moderation intermittently enabled.
Real life, this time, pleasurable real life, supersedes virtual life!
Warren is coming for a visit — his second visit to Washington, D.C.!
There's too much going on here to work on publishing blog posts.
Then, once Warren arrives, he and Mr. AOW and I are off to the National Museum of American History, the National Gallery of Art, the Holocaust Museum, Mount Vernon, the National Museum of Health and Medicine, and whatever other attractions we can manage to squeeze into our schedule. We're also having a shed sale here. Tools, tools, tools! A real Toolapalooza!
During this blog's hiatus, enjoy Impressionism: Ravel & Debussy...
About Impressionism in music:
Impressionism in music was a movement among various composers in Western classical music (mainly during the late 19th and early 20th centuries) whose music focuses on suggestion and atmosphere, "conveying the moods and emotions aroused by the subject rather than a detailed tone‐picture". "Impressionism" is a philosophical and aesthetic term borrowed from late 19th century French painting after Monet's Impression, Sunrise. Composers were labeled impressionists by analogy to the impressionist painters who use starkly contrasting colors, effect of light on an object, blurry foreground and background, flattening perspective, etc. to make the observer focus his attention on the overall impression.Index to selections on the video:
The most prominent in musical impressionism is the use of "color", or in musical term, timbre, which can be achieved through orchestration, harmonic usage, texture, etc. Other elements of music impressionism also involve new chord combinations, ambiguous tonality, extended harmonies, use of modes and exotic scales, parallel motions, extra-musicality, and evocative titles.

Europe's Population Replacement AgendaIf you are unfamiliar with this situation, read HERE (June 11, 2018). But beware the slant of open-borders propaganda and tear-jerking details!
This is the true size of Italy compared with Africa:
The UN says that Italy must take any & all migrants who come from Africa by boat.
The agenda of population replacement couldn't be any clearer at this point. Italy is not only right to turn the migrants away, it's essential that they do or risk losing Italian culture in less than a decade.
Also note THIS from Reuters (June 11, 2018):
...The tiny island nation [of Malta] with fewer than a half a million inhabitants says it already accepts more refugees per capita than Italy, which has taken in more than 600,000 boat migrants since 2014.

Related reading, from the Daily Beast, dated 6/12/2018: Trump’s Singapore Summit Was a Bust—for the U.S.
Pastorius of Infidel Bloggers Alliance commented as follows on the above article and echoes my own thoughts on what happened in Singapore on June 12, 2018:
It seems to me this article raises some legitimate concerns.
However, the Daily Beast, and others who would criticize the Summit, certainly celebrated the last 20 years of paying off Kim in exchange for his sparkling personality.
Trump took us a step forward. This could be the beginning of a new and better era.
Or, knowing Trump, it could be the beginning of the end of Kim, IF he chooses to go the road of threats and bellicosity.

The Meaning Of "Allahu Akbar!"
From this 2015 essay by Robert Spencer and a good reminder during Ramadan 2018...
‘Allahu Akbar’: It Means Almost Everything — Except What The Establishment Media SaysRead the rest HERE.
Media outlets routinely mangle the true meaning of “Allahu akbar,” the ubiquitous battle cry of Islamic jihadists as they commit mass murder.
The war-cry is mistranslated in the Western media as “God is great.” But the actual meaning is “Allah is greater,” meaning Allah Is Greater Than Your God or Government.
It is the aggressive declaration that Allah and Islam are dominant over every other form of government, religion, law or ethic, which is why Islamic jihadists in the midst of killing infidels so often shout it....
