David Axelrod Outdoes Himself (With Music Addendum)

May Axelrod's words undo Obama's chances for re-election!

From Red Alert Politics:
Senior adviser to Obama for America and former White House official David Axelrod blew off criticisms from Republicans Sunday that the Obama administration’s storyline on the Libyan attack had been inconsistent, calling it “nonsense.”

Axelrod claimed the administration had shared everything it knew about the attacks “in real time” and Republicans’ attempts to portray the situation any differently are “disgreaceful.”

“Well, I think it’s nonsense,” Axelrod told “Meet the Press” host David Gregory. “Obviously, this was a tragic event, and the President did call it an act of terror – not just once, but several times – and asked for and ordered an investigation to get to the bottom of what happened, why it happened, and to bring those who committed this act of terror to justice.”...
Expect Obama to mirror this same position in tonight's debate with Mitt Romney.

Obama will say, "Look!" followed by blah, blah, blah. A snow job, in other words.  A veritable blizzard of lies.

How gullible is the American voter?

  1. Even more telling, Axelrod blames Issa for "leaking" unclassified material that the WH sent to Issa without redaction of names. Bonus: The names were already out there previously.

  2. Many years ago, the American actress Sada Thompson appeared on Broadway in an award-winning play called TWIGS in which she, singlehandedly, portrayed three sisters and their mother in four separate acts.

It was the greatest evening at the the theater I've experienced -- truly a virtuoso performance on the part of Miss Thompson -- but her formidable command of stagecraft never got in the way of her great heart. One of those evenings where you didn't always know whether to laugh or weep, and often wound up doing both simultaneously.

At any rate, the very last line of the evening delivered by Thompson as the mother has stayed with me all these years.

"You wanna know what life's all about? I'll tell ya. It's HORSE SHIT!"

And that's exactly how I've come to regard the political process.

  3. “Even while the flames were burning in Benghazi Mitt Romney was sending out political press releases on this, and the whole Republican Party has followed,”

Yes,Romney picked up on the situation and was correct from the beginning. All the DemocRATS have offered is a gross discombobulation!

  4. FT,
    Sada Thompson!

I mentioned her about two weeks ago to my homeschool administrator -- in the context of discussing a television show called Family. Do you, by any chance, remember that show? It also starred John Rubinstein, the son of Arthur Rubinstein.

Anyway, the character that Sada Thompson portrayed on stage in Twigs was essentially correct, wasn't she? And so are you about politics today. Sheesh. The mass media form of communication has served to make politics more than ever a dog and pony show.

  5. Jon,
The Obama administration and their minions are trying to portray Romney as unpatriotic for so doing.

However, the truth is this: there is nothing wrong with criticizing a sitting President's foreign policy, particularly during an election year. Indeed, so questioning is the American tradition!

  6. "A veritable blizzard of lies."

EXACTLY what I expect, too! Accompanied by Obama shouting Romney down to tell those lies, of course!

I hope Romney is ready for it and fires back with both barrels!

  7. Obama has never let the truth get in the way of his agenda and tonight will be no different.

  8. They knew. They watched. They did nothing to help those being attacked and killed. Shameful.

  9. During the Chucklenuts administration:

2002: U.S. Consulate In Karachi, Pakistan, Attacked; 10 Killed, 51 Injured.

2004: U.S. Embassy Bombed In Uzbekistan.

2004: Gunmen Stormed U.S. Consulate In Saudi Arabia.

2006: Armed Men Attack U.S. Embassy In Syria

2007: Grenade Launched Into U.S. Embassy In Athens

2008: Rioters Set Fire To U.S. Embassy In Serbia.

2008: Ten People Killed In Bombings At U.S. Embassy In Yemen.

Just to remind the fringe right that embassy attacks are nothing new and hardly on the rise during the Obummer term.

The fringe right have been a little anal retentive over all this. A blizzard of lies? Absolute nonsense. Stop making yourselves look silly.

  10. Romney better be equipped with a shovel tonight, as Obozo will arrive with a truckload.

Bullshit attracts flies and Liberals , but the smart informed voter it does not.

  11. Ducky said, "Just to remind the fringe right that embassy attacks are nothing new and hardly on the rise during the Obummer term."

The number of embassy attacks is not the issue.

The issue is that Obama lied, repeatedly, about the event. Obama clearly started playing politics with the death of those American citizens immediately, and kept it up for weeks.

George W Bush did not lie about that stuff.

I couldn't have said it better!

Republicans politicizing it is all the rage from the left these days. Shame shame shame for doing that! WhereTF were they when that POS John Kerry and Hanoi Jane were spewing their GARBAGE about Viet Nam? Two-faced DIRTBAGS might noy want to throw so many stones, living in the glass house like they do. If ANYONE is politicizing this mess it is our Bullshitter-in-Chief!

  14. Duck,
I do not defend GWB. I never have defended GWB, as a matter of fact.

The point NOW is what the Obama administration is doing -- and what the Obama administration failed to do to secure the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

  15. I hope Romney is prepared to counter lies, lies, and more lies... and that's just from Bob Shieffer ;-)

AOW: I remember Sada Thompson's show, Family. Remember who was married to the John Rubenstein character?

  16. Cube,
Remember who was married to the John Rubenstein character?

    Was it Meredith Baxter?

BTW, Quinn Cummings has recently written a book about homeschooling. Do you remember Quinn Cummings from Family?

  17. THINK OF IT THIS WAY:

We should all thank Ducky for laying out abundant evidence that these madmen of the Middle East are every bit as treacherous, deceitful, cruel and unprincipled as those of us on the "Fringe Right" (Don't you just love that term of endearment?) have been saying all along.

Ducky may have thought he was showing us that "Dubya" was even more inept than Obama (Could it matter at his ponit?) , but instead wound up presenting an elegant counter-argument to his own often-stated love and support for Islamaniacs.

I love to see idiotarians outsmart themselves, don't you?

  18. FT, you'll have to excuse Nostradumbass. His vocabulary has been somewhat limited since the phrases, "running dogs of imperialism" and "capitalist lackeys", went out of style.

(There was also the Zhongshan suit (Mao Jacket) incident but the less said about that the better.)

  19. Who cares about Ducky? All he wants is attention and, if you ask me, he gets too much here. As far as Axelrod, is anyone sick of, not only his lack of anything of importance, but his nauseating, wimpy, delivery and, in general boring, overall demeanor? My God, if you are no less than some kind of a Chacago thug mouth piece, at least, sound as if you have some sort of moxie!

  20. Yes, it was Baxter. Quinn was a little girl who came onto the show later... I don't remember exactly, a child of divorce, maybe? It's been a long time.
