Obama's Racism

Yes, it IS racism and a return to definition three of the quota system.

According to the Daily Caller (hat tip to Freedom By the Way):
President Barack Obama is backing a controversial campaign by progressives to regulate schools’ disciplinary actions so that members of major racial and ethnic groups are penalized at equal rates, regardless of individuals’ behavior.

His July 26 executive order established a government panel to promote “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

[...]

“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases.

“It is too bad that the president has chosen to set up a new bureaucracy with a focus on one particular racial group, to the exclusion of all others,” said Roger Clegg, the president of the Center for Equal Opportunity....
The rest is HERE.

I now speak as a teacher and school administrator with over forty years' experience.

Employing unequal disciplinary measures destroys both student and teacher morale in addition to promoting student-on student and student-on-teacher bullying.

In such a situation, a type of social warfare specific to academia dominates and overshadows academics.  Playing favorites or targeting students leads to terrible consequences that reverberate long after school days end.

It is not only the economy that Obama is running off the rails (hat tip to Conservative Hideout 2.0 for the graphic below):

  1. I call it racism. What else could it be called.

  2. If seems as if you are as sick and tired of these scumbags as I am.
Well it's high time that they are called on it. And expose the whole bunch for what they really are.
In my opinion, for what it's worth, maybe the Birthers may or may not have the details right, but they smell something. Could it be that t Obama didn't attend Columbia at all, which would explain why nobody remembers him and why there are no transcripts?
I think its time we switch from the Tax record questions to making the assertion that Barack Obama WAS a foreign exchange student, and let HIM prove that he wasn't.

  3. My Observations,
Welcome to Always On Watch. Please stop by again.

Yes, I'm worn out with these scumbags -- and that's putting it mildly as this is a PG web site.

I'm not a Birther. However, there is SOMETHING being hidden; as you say, it may well be Obama's student status or student achievement level.

  4. Sounds like the schools will merely be adopting the same standards that the MSM uses in reporting crime and degeneracy... for only Republican politicians can be "Larry Craig" homosexual perverts, and only Democrats can be lovable gay friends like Barney Frank...

  6. This smacks of "Race-Norming", a practice of grouping standardized aptitude tests by ethnic/racial groups then comparing scores by the percentile within each group.

"Sometime around 1980 civil rights radicals working within the government, with the assistance of outside activists, launched an all-out clandestine attack on the principles of equal rights and workplace competency. Secretly, the Labor Department began using a technique called “race norming” to adjust the standardized test scores of minorities who had taken the General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB), which is used as a basis for government job referrals. More than 38 states relied on this data.

Under a race-norming regime the test scores of minorities are compared with scores of other test takers within their own racial or ethnic group, but are never compared with those of people in other groups. Each test taker is given a percentile ranking within his own group and then the percentile rankings of all of the test takers are intermingled on one big list. Employers who were relying on this final list of blended scores were never told that the people on the list had never competed with one another in a free and open general competition to achieve their percentile rankings.

For example: all applicants for employment take the same test. The name of every white person who’s test score ranked in the top third of the white test takers is put on a list titled “The Top Third”. Then the name of every black person who’s score was in the top third of the black test takers is also placed on the same list with the names of the white test takers. Finally, the list titled “The Top Third” is given to government department managers. What the managers were never told is that the black applicants on the list would only have scored in the bottom six percent if they had been openly competing against the white test takers. In other words, the clandestine practice of race norming flooded our government with a legion of incompetent workers.

The civil rights bureaucrats surreptitiously added bonus points to minority test scores. The worse a group performed on the test, the more bonus points were added to the test scores of the individuals in that group.

This method of cooking the books subverted the purpose of administering a standardized test"

  9. Think about the message this sends to the children, all of them, and the parents. These kids will grow up expecting the same thing in the real world. Leave Obama in charge and that is exactly what they will get. It's already happening.

Just look at Eric Holder and how he has time after time been selective on who he will prosecute.

  10. I am ALARMED in the extreme by this particular executive order -- even though I work in the "safe" homeschool environment. By "safe" I'm referring to not having to be politically correct.

But, sooner of later, the likes of Obama are going to come after us working in the homeschool domain.

Worse, look at how many young people are going to be adversely affected by this executive order.

Bottom line: THIS EXECUTIVE ORDER IS UNAMERICAN AND WILL SET BACK RACE RELATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES!

  11. Duck,
REAL education involves not playing favorites -- based on race or on anything else.

As one privately educated, my big gripe even now as I look back is that the master teacher who mentored me and in most respects served as a model for any diagnostic and prescriptive teachers, played favorites. He would excuse his own children for offenses and drop the hammer on the rest of us. The effect was devastating! Students fled the school, teachers fled the school, and the quality of education suffered.

  12. Children enrolled in public education have been lost to us for a very long time. I would estimate about 3 generations of parenting detachment have contributed to a third generation of mostly brainless individuals who think that they should vote for a communist organizer because it’s the black man’s turn. Obama came to us as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and a clear majority of voters fell for it. Now he’s exposed himself for what he truly is.

Sadly, Obama isn’t alone —as JonBerg suggested. Countless administrations have conspired to provide a level playing field, even when tipping the balance in the other direction cannot possibly achieve such ends. Apparently, we are incapable of understanding it is impossible to provide absolute equality for one without concurrently taking equality away from someone else. The entire scenario was created for us by well-meaning dolts, and found acceptable to major corporations because it relieved them of having to pay out large sums of money to Rainbow/Push racketeering.

In effect, parents and government entities have conspired to teach our children how to milk the system; how to “get over.” Yes, Obama is a racist—but he’s not the Lone Ranger. A full range of institutions have reinforced among young adults today that white America is an abomination; it is time to right all the wrongs.

Consequently, everything is okay for as long as you can get away with it. The foundation of our ethical foundation now extends below the fourth sub-basement level. Cheer up … we’re still digging to achieve the lowest possible standard.

Oh dear, white bread is going to get expelled or the same offenses. The horror."

Ducky, do you REALLY not understand the post or........? REALLY?

AOW, glad you posted this; I'd seen it and was legitimately outraged. Ya "hey, minority kid, YOU can do this but THEY can't"

A friend's teacher-friend has retired from teaching in TX because minority kids are arriving in pajamas and slippers...threatening...standing in hallways and stairwells and not moving until they're good and ready. They drop by school like dropping by the mall.
And the union does nothing because at least the kid came by $$$$

The leftist unions have ruined our education system beyond repair, in my opinion.

Liberalmann probably going to have to buy a new stem too. He's been so high so often that he dropped and stepped on the last one, thus breaking it.
