From Texas Fred comes "Dear Attack Watch…Let’s a play a little game of 20 QUESTIONS…":
1. WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL OF THAT STIMULUS MONEY?? AND YOU EXPECT US TO FALL FOR IT AGAIN?!?!?!In my view, Attack Watch is a measure of desperation, especially for an incumbent. Furthermore, didn't the Obama bunch learn a lesson from Fight the Smears during the 2008 campaign for President? Fight the Smears was hardly a success and also became a laughingstock.
2. Is it okay for you to have members of the New Black Panthers standing outside voting centers in full camouflage gear threatening whites with baseball bats and night sticks?
3. Is it also okay for you to have ACORN register dead people to vote and automatically submit them as democrat voters?
4. Is it also okay for you to flat out LIE to the American people 7 TIMES in the first two minutes of your acceptance speech the night that you was so-called “elected”?
5. Is it also okay for you to have Congress vote on and pass a healthcare bill IN THE DARK OF NIGHT that over half the country DIDN’T want shoved down their throats? You need to know that this WILL ultimately be proven unconstitutional…..maybe you didn’t hear, but government CANNOT FORCE it’s citizens to purchase a government subsidized good or service.
6. Is it also okay for you to push California to pass the Dream Act so that he has more voters on his side for the election next year because he bought them all off with FREE healthcare, FREE housing, FREE food, FREE education, FREE EVERYTHING?
7. Is it also okay that you failed to acquire, let alone EVEN ASK FOR, congressional approval for a meaningless one-sided war in Libya? By the way, Bush asked for and received congressional approval for the war in Iraq….his request WAS met with some differences of opinion, but HE DID ASK…..YOU DID NOT.
8. While we’re on the subject, why do you continuously run to the UN every time you have a problem? This country is NOT run by the UN….we are a SOVERIEGN NATION that governs itself…..maybe they didn’t teach you that in American History. OH, MY BAD!! I forgot….you went to school in INDONESIA!!
9. Is it okay that when a UNION THUG like Jimmy Hoffa literally threatens a group of people in a warm-up speech for the President, that President (YOU) remains silent and doesn’t strike that UNION THUG’S comments down in some kind of response? Pardon me, but I’ve lived in this country my ENTIRE LIFE….I’m pretty darn certain that EVERYTHING in Hoffa’s speech was gone over with a fine tooth comb…do you REALLY think we are THAT STUPID?
10. Why is it that you can’t simply produce your actual long form birth certificate? Anybody that applies for a job in this country needs to provide several different forms of ID. I would think that someone who wants to be PRESIDENT would be scrutinized down to the very last letter of the alphabet.
11. Where are the college transcripts from Harvard and Occidental? They were probably burned right along with the B.C., huh?
12. How can you call yourself a Christian when you don’t celebrate Christmas or Easter, but yet you recognize and celebrate the MUSLIM holy month of Ramadan?
13. Why is that you CONTINUOUSLY apologize for our status as a Superpower Nation?
14. Why do you bow down to foreign leaders?
15. Why do you try and make a toast when God Save The Queen is being played?
16. Why did you REALLY close that Boeing plant in South Carolina?
Let’s talk about your wife for a moment…..
17. Is it okay that she goes on vacations left and right on the taxpayers dime, of which she spent $10 MILLION??
18. Is it also okay that your wife can eat burgers and fries, while at the same time, telling us Americans to eat more veggies and make their portions smaller?
19. Is it also okay for that same UNPATRIOTIC wife to disrespect the American flag at Ground Zero on 9/11/11?
20. Is it also okay for YOU to ask AMERICAN CITIZENS to rat out their own neighbors if they happen to say something negative about the President?

I am reminded of the definition of insanity:
Albert Einstein once said "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
I too believe "Attack Watch" is a last gasp of desperation.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of the 20 questions, it all comes down to the economy. Obama and Tiny Tim have crashed it.
Silverfiddle is right. It's all about fiscal and monetary policies as far as the elections go. To be sure there are a tonne of other problems that can only be addressed once we take control in Jan. 2013.
ReplyDeleteThat site is a laughing stock. How incredibly STUPID can you be to place that on the internet??
ReplyDelete"Turn in your neighbor"??
Sounds remarkably like Europe and Germany in the 40s, and Russia in the 50s and 60s.
BZ
The Attack Watch is his dying gasp. Please let it be so.
ReplyDeleteThe last gasp desperate move of a NAZI/Commie wannabe... Thank you for the re-post...
ReplyDeleteA great deal of this list is frankly mindless trash that only makes any good question look dumb.
ReplyDeleteThe attempt at the mindless "birther" argument looks stupid.
No. 7 is totally incorrect, Libya was not a war, it was a mandated support action via the UN and no boots on the ground.
No. 8 is similarly illogical, Obama has proven to ignore the UN as any other (probably correctly so) and it should not be forgotten that he has increased drone attacks in antoher soveriegn nation regarldess and at at 400 per cent increase to his predecessor.
No. 12 is making things up, Obama did and does celebrate Christmas and Easter, he just did not make speeches or big events. The Christmas tree and the family dinner all certainly did happen. Why was that ignored by this writter?
No. 13, no Obama does not apologize for being a Super Power, he just does not push the American Exceptionalist Argument that Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bolton pushed and damaged your country with.
No. 14. Obama clearly is lanky and bad at providing a mode of acknowledgement to royalty. He has done so to the Saudi King, but we should not forget also to my Queen Elizabeth II and to Dutch Queen Beatrix, The Pope and Japanese Emporor - all the same awkward bow. So he is tall and lanky and misses the right standing point by 2 to 3 feet, what is the big deal?
No. 17, Michelle Obama has a staff of less than half the others and saves on that cost but choses to combine holidays and official visits.
No. 18 is really stupid. Michelle Obama has constantly said you can eat what you want, in moderation and the rest should be healthy, thus going to eat a Burger and Fries is just fine, does she do that every day with her kids? We should add she talks about obese kids, is her kids obese?
If it was not so stupid, I would consider this to be a piss-poor chain-letter than should be valued as spam.
We can add to this, and I am in agreement with one comment above, that there are enough questions that can be asked to Obama and his Administration on issues like Economics, so why this rubbish? I answered the real stupid ones and I am certainly no Obama supporter and not even a US national or living there.
Just the idea of the site is another example of the thugs in the White House. May they soon be packing their suitcases.

Fred always writes great post. Desperation breeds desperate measures and Attack Watch is nothing more than one of the dying Gasps of a failed presidency!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind but I posted this on my Facebook page.
ReplyDeleteIt was spot-on! Texas Fred, nailed it.
Wow, TexassFred has all the old disputed lies covered. What a dinosaur, lol!
ReplyDeleteListen you screechers, stop lying. Attack Watch is NOT about turning in your neighbors. It's about countering the constant stream of lies put for by the pervasive conservative media which is owned by...wait for it...by conservatives. You know...like Fox News and the 80% of radio that is conservative hate speak.
ReplyDeleteGo to the site and search 'health care,' for example and you will get a list of GOP lies.
You guys are shmeless.
Seems like a short list to me
ReplyDelete2. Is it okay for you to have members of the New Black Panthers standing outside voting centers in full camouflage gear threatening whites with baseball bats and night sticks?
ReplyDelete--------
Just for the record since this one is such a lie ad the facts are so easy to research.
We know how much blacks frighten Baggers but there was only one panther. There were no baseball bats.
A call about a man in front of a polling place came in from a passerby. The cops came and made him leave. No force was used, no big deal.
The Bush administration declined to prosecute and finally the Obama administration dropped conspiracy charges due to lack of evidence.
Now what's your problem with all this?
8. While we’re on the subject, why do you continuously run to the UN every time you have a problem? This country is NOT run by the UN….we are a SOVERIEGN(sic) NATION that governs itself…..maybe they didn’t teach you that in American History. OH, MY BAD!! I forgot….you went to school in INDONESIA!!
ReplyDelete----------------
When has he run to the U.N?
His latest is to veto the Palestinian vote for official statehood.
He gets on his knees for Likud at every opportunity. I thought you Baggers approved.
How can you call yourself a Christian when you don’t celebrate Christmas or Easter, but yet you recognize and celebrate the MUSLIM holy month of Ramadan?
ReplyDelete-----------------
He fasted during Ramadan? Are you insane?
Is it also okay for you to have ACORN register dead people to vote and automatically submit them as democrat voters?
ReplyDelete--------------
Obama was responsible? Are you on dope?
Anyway, voter registration problems occur and the voter isn't officially registered till the election board verifies the application.
Of course there is the official illegal purging of voters in Florida and other southern hell holes but that's for another day.
Why is it that you can’t simply produce your actual long form birth certificate?
ReplyDelete-----
Little bit behind the curve aren't you.
Say high to Orly Taitz and Allen Keyes.
Duck, We know how much blacks frighten Baggers but there was only one panther.
ReplyDeleteThere were two, google "black panthers polling place"
The Bush administration declined to prosecute and finally the Obama administration dropped conspiracy charges due to lack of evidence.
Holder had a judgement against one of them and dismissed the charges. You know this and yet you just say what you want.
Ducky, are you on crack? How the heck many videos do you have to see to know that there were TWO Black panthers with billy clubs there at the voting precinct?
ReplyDeleteThe rest of this list is mostly hyperbole and misleading; I hate to say it, but it is. Not helpful
Point of clarification: Texas Fred did not write these 20 questions. How he got them is explained in his post over at Fred's site.
ReplyDeleteBD said:He's a crusty old sot who lives to spread hate and lies.

ReplyDelete"Wow, TexassFred has all the old disputed lies covered. What a dinosaur, lol!"
Bd, you've actually complemented Fred! Dinosaurs are considered one of the most successful life forms on earth. Ruled the earth for 130 million years, an almost infinite variety ranging from the size of sparrows to the largest creatures ever to walk the planet. NOT slow, stupid, single and living in the swamps. Fast, intelligent, nurturing and living in all habitats. It took an external, violent force of nature (not natural selection) to wipe out most of them. The rest adapted and became birds.
Be proud to be a dinosaur Fred!
D Charles,
ReplyDeleteI don't have time to address each of your parsings right now.
But with regard to the White House's 2009 Christmas celebration, let us remember THIS:
...Critics of President Obama are setting their sights this week on the official White House Christmas tree, which features controversial ornaments including an orb depicting the late Chinese dictator, another that shows drag queen Hedda Lettuce, and yet another that shows a picture of Mount Rushmore -- with Obama's head pasted to the side of Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson and Roosevelt's....
Z,
ReplyDeleteThe rest of this list is mostly hyperbole and misleading; I hate to say it, but it is. Not helpful
It's all a part of the propaganda war.
Bd,
ReplyDeleteI do appreciate that you removed your own comment directed at me at 7:10 PM -- no sarcasm, intended or implied.
But you do know that I saw that comment via comment notification, right?
With regard to Question 11....
ReplyDeleteI do wonder why we don't have more information about Obama's college years.
I recall the comparison of Gore's and GWB's SAT scores and college grades. Have we heard about Obama's SAT scores and college grades?
POINT OF CLARIFICATION: I AM NOT A BIRTHER.
ReplyDeleteEven if BHO is ineligible to serve as President, the horse is out of the barn and on into town now.
But I do understand why people have doubts. Obama has not handled this "controversy" well. How did McCain handle the issue when it came up? Transparently. Obama did not, thus adding more fuel to the birther fire.
I want to address the following question from D Charles:
ReplyDeletethere are enough questions that can be asked to Obama and his Administration on issues like Economics, so why this rubbish?
Because the American electorate is so dumbed down that Obama cannot be defeated only by thinking voters.
Let me cite an example....
When I was discussion ObamaCare with my Dem neighbor and pointed out to him the unconstitutionality of forcing Americans to buy a private product or pay a fine, he agreed that that aspect of ObamaCare is indeed unconstitutional. My neighbor is an immigrant who took the Constitution test, after all.
But, still, his response was as follows: "So what? Our nation needs this healthcare reform."
He even conceded the weakness of using the commerce clause to make ObamaCare constitutional. The man may be a Democrat, but he is well educated.
So, how do you reach somebody like that on an ideological level? You can't! But point out to him that Obama's college grades and SAT scores remain a secret, and he pauses and says, "Well, I don't like THAT."
I wonder what my neighbor thinks of Attack Watch?
In order to defeat Obama in 2012, the opposition is going to have to operate on several levels. I give Obama's 2008 campaign managers their due: They effectively promoted BHO's election via several tactics. The GOP needs to learn that lesson! The propaganda war matters!
Obama's Watergate?
ReplyDeleteAOW, this is one that is going to be an "agree to disagree with".
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas Tree was designed by Simon Doonan, thus any arguments can be directed towards him. The issue from that rediculous list was that he somehow Obama did not celebrate Christmas or Easter but celebrated the Muslim festival - which was rubbish and frankly the tree is not representative either way as it was given to a designer. The fact remains Obama goes to Church, did celebrate both a Christmas and Easter dinner and in fact attenced a Church celebration for both. What he did not do was follow the typical presentations as per his predecessors (which I do think was wrong).
Secondly, it is clear that Obama made a decision not to release his personal records and had them locked away, including his educational ones. That is a choice about privacy and he may have decided with the partisan witchhunts that the far-right loves that they were not going to get their hands on it. It raised heated debate and sure enough the fringe-loony element that likes to score points yelled, screamed and as we now know, ultimately were forced to make things up (rather than just point out there was "no issue". That is the point, there is no issue unless you "want it" because there is a strong "we hate him" element that wants it.
A last comment on your item about the US public. I believe you are suggesting that the American public is stupid and I would rather think that the American public would not only find that wrong but insulting. I am, as you are obviously aware, not American and I find some things rather strange, personally a bit stupid, and often ignorant of the rest of the world (or often just 20 miles away from their home) but ultimately they are not stupid at all.
To defeat Obama you must throw facts and ABSOLUTELY stay away and steer clear from either emotive, factually incorrect or smear tactices. No matter how much Democrats can do the same, FRANKLY speaking the Conservative movement and many ¨so-called Tea-Party supporters/politicians practially dominate, if not own, the lower-end of the quality politics. In the end Obama is more than likely going to win the next election as much as I hate to think that way. Why? Because ultimately the American public will vote for someone who is not extreme (either left or right), appears to represent the bulk of the population, looks serious (not a spoiler or too tarnsihed with partisan rhetoric) and appears to offer the right solution. In the above criteria, the candidates for the Republican nomination so far are sucking-up to the extreme elements to catch votes (they are afraid of them), they either participate or have not condemned partisan politics and the fringe commentst that keep coming out, do not appear to represent middle-America and the aspirations of those that may vote Democratic and have offered no solutions to the current issues such as economic (Obama at least appears to have suggested an offer whilst the GOP are squabling over various and differing options - ie not unity). Though we can argue endlessly that it is not the case, Obama still resembles a statesman.
I know most of you will not agree with much if not all of the above, but from my perspective the Conservatives of the US are an un-united group that is missing the boat and are attempting to relly simply on whinging and knit-picking Obama rather than uniting, offering solutions and when it comes to crisis (and you are certainly in one) actually taking the moral ground of joining Obama and the Dems and working to solving it.

D Charles,
ReplyDeleteYes, we are going to disagree.
Obama does not regularly attend church. That is his own business, of course, but it does break with precedent.
---------------
In 2009, the White House decorations for Christmas -- something that we locals often attend -- were much more subdued than in the past. Frankly, that lack of decorations didn't go well.
I don't care who designed that Christmas tree. It was displayed on Obama's watch.
-------------
I believe you are suggesting that the American public is stupid...
Not exactly. There is a difference between dumbed down and stupid. The drop in recent SAT scores bears out my contention, I think. And, of course, there are other recent findings as well.
-------------
Are we nit picking? To a certain extent, yes.
Those of us who have been in the blogosphere for election cycles know how crazy the blogosphere becomes, as does the rest of the media, for that matter.
Oh, and I do post other things about the Obama administration -- things that are more ideological.
I have never pretended that blogging is journalism.
I have to say that I am rather dissapointed with conservatism in the US. Though I disagree and would never vote for Obama (if I was an American), my view is that the GOP simply at present is way to fractured and lost in direction to ever take office or in fact run it correctly. Interest groups and factions within the conservative community plus the power of media (traditional and internet) is way to influencial and it is tearing the organised politics apart.
ReplyDeleteThere are multiple examples, such as the power and influence of candidates whom in the past would never even get a showing (and rightly so) except that they are playing the popularist/nationalist card to the maximum with the support of that media. Bachmann (and Palin) simply are never going to be Presidents or Vice Presidents and though they represent dissatisfaction and popular concerns (and yes even "grass-root traditions", they are in fact ulitimately fringe popularists. It is stunning that they are taken even remotely serious.
The other example political game-play and point-scoring, such as the pathetic birther topic or misguided blaming of Obama for "everything" wrong in America. Though there will always be the ratbag element that raises wishful thinking that somehow the President is not actually a legitimate citizen (for election purposes) what struck me is the silence by the GOP leadership rather than their taking the moral and logical high-road and telling the "mob" to simply shut-up and be logical. The birther movement and those that question the issue (even in regards to his diplomas) are in fact questionaing (and thus insulting) the capacity of America's civil service. Who in their right mind would consider that somehow the US would elect a candidate who is not valid? That somehow either corruption or negligence could bypass electoral officials, silence hospital and school staff, officers of Congress, let alone every single quality investigative journalist and law enforcement official? Especially when we are talking about probably THE most scrutinized person on the planet! Ultimately it means that there is no confidence in the backbone of your own country and a major insult to those civil servants whom are responsible for such work.
In another blog they are discussing the "blame Bush" habit by the current Administration. I also get tired of the blame Bush for everything but to be blatantly honest, blaming Obama for everything is just as pathetic. One example is how he is responsible for the economy. He certainly is failing in his attempts to repair it but the fact remains that the last official economic disaster was a result of a GPO government under Bush's watch with Polson et al, beign unaware of the abuses by banking figures resulting in the collapses financial meltdown. Christine Legarde (probably the smartest financial brain in Europe) said that she warned Polson but that instead of dealing with it he was more interested in "how to look good". The reality is the current crisis is just a continuation of the old one, that both sides have failed to "deal with it" and that its' origin is probably from the early 1990s.
Yes I am showing a bit of frustration here, if I am saying anything, I am dissapointed not only in the current US leadership but even more so in those whom are supposed to be the other option.
D Charles,
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am rather dissapointed with conservatism in the US.
I agree with you that American conservatism has serious problems. Gone are the days of William F. Buckley. In those days, conservatism was more cerebral. I grew up reading the writings of Buckley.
We now live in the Age of the Cult of Personality and the Age of Perceptions. This is largely, but not entirely, the result of the power of the media (all media).
I doubt there is a way to turn the clock back. **sigh**
How can you be disappointed with something that has not happened in the US since the days of Reagan? Show me where conservatism is in play.
ReplyDeleteAs to Attack Watch. Interesting choice of words nope no hatred here no violent tone here. A government program to counter information shared in the General public umm Pat, I will take unconstitutional for $500.
Blogginator,
ReplyDeleteI wonder why more Americans don't hear alarm bells sounding over AttackWatch? When Obama wasn't the incumbent, Fight the Smear (2008) didn't ring as dangerous. AttackWatch does!
Maybe you can answer my question: Has any incumbent to the Oval Office ever used a similar tactic?
How can you be disappointed with something that has not happened in the US since the days of Reagan? Show me where conservatism is in play.
Conservatism has been eroding ever since the days of FDR. We now have generations who look to the government to take care of them.
Government programs used to be a sort of safety net. Now, a significant portion of our society depends on them. Indeed, it is difficult NOT to depend on them!
AOW,
ReplyDeleteSimilar tactics by a President. I dont believe I know of such an overt action but there were probably covert ones. Remember the coffee table reading of the Clintons was the FBI files of opposition folks. NIxon? There have to be other RNC and DNC covert actions.
Our Constitution has more holes in it then a piece of swiss cheese (no offense to the swiss).
We have government agencies that act like Legislative bodies. We have legislature that does not act. We have judges that act like kings. Someone tell why we have Czars when the Constitution prohibits the use of Titltes.
As to your second point...
ReplyDeleteSSA was originally advertised as part of a 3 leg stool. Now it is the stool for most people to prove your point.
But this attitude goes further. Without revealing my occupation, I talk to ordinary people every day. These folks expect the government to solve all the problems. They want some one else to pay for everything even if the thing was an act of nature. I actually had a woman ask who would come and remove litter from her yard.
We have spoken about the dismal performance of government run education. Setting aside a complete lack of anything resembling an understanding of history, geography, and mathematics for a moment by the "graduates" of these baby sitters.
I base my opinions on the daily discovery of people who lack a developed problem solving ability. You and I have used the term critical analysis. They have almost none...they are in Bd's words "sheep".
