Halal And Schemes

A few weeks ago, I purchased hamburger at my local Safeway Grocery Store. I hadn't purchased hamburger in some time and was surprised to discover that nowhere on that meat counter was there ground beef that was not halal.  All the beef in the store was halal and bore a halal certificate.

Huh?  When did that prevalence of halal beef become the norm in my local grocery store?

It turns out that halal is about much more than food, including a global scheme to trick non-Mulsims into funding Islamic organizations! Please make time to watch the video below. You are guaranteed to find some surprises therein!

Important information about Islam and halal food (from the YouTube blurb):
Nowhere in Islamic scripture does it say Muslims should eat only halal-certified food. Most observant Muslims know perfectly well that nearly all our food is by default halal:

Koran Sura 2:173 (Al-Baqarah) reads: "He hath forbidden you only carrion, and blood, and swine flesh, and that which hath been immolated to any other than God. But he who is driven by necessity, neither craving nor transgressing, it is no sin for him. Lo! God is Forgiving, Merciful."

Koran Sura 5.5 (Al Ma'idah) prescribes: "The food of the People of the Book (that is Jewish and Christian people) is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them."

And from the hadith narrated by Aisha (Bukhari Volume 3, Book 34, Number 273) Muslims know: "Some people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Meat is brought to us by some people and we are not sure whether the name of Allah has been mentioned on it or not." Allah's Apostle said, "Mention the name of Allah and eat it."

"All the beef in the store was halal and bore a halal certificate."

    This is marketing.

And Kosher food is a conspiracy to turn all people into Jews? And does AlwaysOnWatch believe having food labels in more than one language is a liability? ... Really? Get a grip.

Will reading the Koran make one a follower of Islam or more wise?

    1. Ema,
      This is marketing.

Most patrons of my local supermarket are not Muslim.

Previously, there were sections of the market with halal and kosher food. Fine. But the entire beef section becomes halal? Gimme a break!

Your statement about Kosher foods is stupid. But we should expect nothing else from someone who implies reading the Koran make one...more wise. Perhaps the Quran is the origin of your "wisdom."

  3. I agree, Ema has not viewed the video. I imagine she reviews books she had never read? smile

Halal certification has elements of being an extortion racket.

    Sure, I understand global markets.

But as you state, food can be made "halal" by merely stating "Bismillah" over the product. Got this confirmation from a Muslim a few weeks ago. The Halal Certification authority is marketing a ghost product. It is about like me coming around and charging you for the air you breathe. Would you fall for THAT?

  4. My fellow Comrades, leftists, socialist’s, and amigos an other freedom fighters, let me introduce you and your fellow Jihad Comrades to a new development which we at the here in the 3rd and better part of the world have been developing, with our fellow leeches. It's called The Mid-Eastern Peoples Ham.
The Peoples Ham brand mark is specially designed to resemble some of our most glorious foods.. The Peoples Ham is made of capitalist pigs, whom had serviced the People well and now gave a further step collectivizing their butts for the Common Good.
And please do not confuse this with “Kosher”
It is 100% Halal, and by the way delicious. The People's Ham is not pork at all. Butt made of 100% Soy it's the new food for the masses. and often also known as TOFU. Tofu ( People's Ham ) is an excellent source of amino acids, iron, calcium and other micro-nutrients, that will give you strength, and the ability to withstand long periods without using the bathroom. It was originated in China, not in the dreaded USSA.
People's food technicians inform me that it also solves the problem of Global Warming Climate Disruption by, er.... eliminating the pesky problem of Climate Change Denial in a nutritious novel way! You will find it to be uncontested of the absurdities of today I have been told that eating this and a cuppa tea each day, will keep you strong enough for the battle field for years.

Earlier today, someone using the moniker of Black Lives Matter left this comment on your blog [timestamp - January 12, 2015 at 9:08:00 AM EST]:

Which is precisely why I consider you a troll … and why your stale accusation of intolerance holds no water . You’re merely a”Conservative” argument junkie, adolescent and immature, arrogant and egotistical, and you have no self-awareness whatsoever. In short - a BORE, nothing more!

This same person – also masquerading as Stupid Things Conservatives Say - left the same comment on another blog earlier this morning [timestamp – January 12, 2015 at 6:23 AM).

Please note: The original comment was written by me and posted on Shaw’s blog [timestamp - January 12, 2015 at 4:31 AM]. It referred to another person - not to you or any commenter here. IOW, my original comment was PLAGIARIZED and pirated, then posted here.

  10. The only thing I can ind on this, AOW, concerns a Muslim in Iowa who was mislabeling meat as halal.

Seems that it was Muslims who were taken in.

I wonder if the labeling in your meat department is any more rigorous than the misleading organic labels at Whole Foods.

  11. Sorry AOW (off topic) but I've ask this elsewhere on other Great sites:

OK, I've heard this about as much as I can stand: "lead from behind". How is that possible?

  12. No we can’t forget this quote from Obama’s book Audacity of Hope

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Whatever did he mean by that?

Obama is not legally African-American as he claims but Arab-American and Islam still considers him to be a Muslim. Surely Americans are entitled to take this into account when they are voting for the next President of America.

And lets NOT forget Debbie Schlussel’s exclusive Obama’s Nation of Islam Staffers, Edward Said & “Inflexible Jews” Causing Mid-East Conflict: An Obama Insider Reveals the Real Barack

Was that sentence taken out of context? What was the context? Does this worry you? Does it need a context, or does it speak for itself? Does it gives you pause for concern?
As for me. I am mad as hell there are so many Liberals, Socialists, Marxists, Progressives, and Communists in our government!!
It’s so sad that the country that I grew up in will never be the same again… so sad for us and the younger generation. i cant believe it has gotten this bad so fast it seems…and I know we can never go back to the way it was… and i am afraid of how it is gonna be..

I report, you decide, I already have..

  13. On the halal front, I purchased halal meat at a small local market when having Muslim invitees for a dinner. It was all about price gouging. The hamburger stated 90/10 but I venture it was 60/40 - more fat than anything. Chicken breasts looked old. Everything I bought involved price gouging, including "halal" marshmallows for the young lady who took me on this shopping extravaganza. Halal creates a market monopoly. Quality always suffers with monopoly.

  16. "In general the art of government consists in taking as much money as possible from one class of citizens to give to the other."

    ~ Voltaire (1694-1778)

    How does this apply here?

I see this issue as entirely POLITICAL not "religious." This "halal" thing isn't the first time, and it won't be the last, that an insurgent political faction has USED "religion" as a cover for a scheme to manipulate, dominate and eventually destroy an Establishment the insurgents regard as an impediment to their hopes of achieving ascendancy.

One of the means of diluting and ultimately destroying authentic grassroots American culture is by advocating a deliberate process of "FOREIGNIZATION" through official channels.

As a native-born New Yorker, I was raised in, and have always loved and enjoyed a distinctly COSMOPOLITAN atmosphere. Hew York City in my formative years was like a magnificent -- almost celestial -- Smoergasbord. That was a wonderful SHARING of myriad cultural differences, but its was GENUINE, SPONTANEOUS, and therefore very different from aggressive government-mandated, federally-enforced FOREIGNIZATION

  17. Doubtless the ancient proscription against eating pork -- shared equally by Jews AND Muslims -- had its roots in practical considerations. The ancients must have divined in some way that PORK transmits the deadly diseases we call TRICHANOSIS.

However, I believe that when ANY religion attempts to regulate how we deal with our PHYSICAL needs, tastes and appetites, that religion has flown off the rails, because it has departed from the SPIRITUAL world, its true province, to the PHYSICAL world which is not.

Most Christians, and others as well, I'm sure, are familiar with the saying "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

Too bad that has been so badly misunderstood.

Le's go go on to "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and [everything you really need] will be added unto you."

That means that putting God first automatically protects us from harming ourselves and others, because sincere private prayer and personal meditation on the meaning the Scriptures and how they ought to apply to daily life "clothes us in our rightful minds," and thus makes it possible for us to resist Temptation.

When in our "rightful mind," what happens in the EXTERNAL world recedes into the background, and becomes increasingly less significant in how we live our individual lives.

We will NEVER be able to reform "The World," but we COULD reform OURSELVES by spiritualizing our thought processes and embracing a benevolent view of faith.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Free Thinke,

I remain a gentle and loving Christian. For years the external world meant little to me - because I followed the admonishment to "be at peace with all men" - and my world consisted of a husband and small sons who needed the attention of their mother. Career and home were all I could manage.

9/11 changed my world view immensely. It is impossible to be at peace with all men when some men are hell bent on harming others. At that point, it seems more appropriate to "gird with the full armour of God" which includes:

"....so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand....."

My fight is not a religious one in the truest sense of the word. God can take care of Himself. He has no need of me. But my future generations need me. My fight is so that my generations may dwell in peace. I want my grandchildren (not yet existent) to live in America with peace and safety. My grandchildren will know the stories that I did all within my power to turn the tide of Islamisation of the West. Christianity is a Gospel of Peace. It must not be extinguished across the globe.

Who cares if it's true or not, the label was THERE....the truck owners thought it's important.
Can't miss those 1 muslims a week or month who might buy a burger, right? Man

SF....but the point is there are far more Jews in America, even that 15%, than Muslims, and still the Jews don't push it on US.

  24. No, there aren't enough muslims anywhere to warrant a sign and, by the way, watch the video; HALAL is BS.
Odd that Jews don't kick and scream to get KOSHER on everything WE WANT TO BUY, isn't it? And get US to pay more for it so they can, too?

Look, 'tepests' in teapots don't exist in our country anymore; we have to look past what you think is no big deal and extrapolate. No tempest; this is indicative of a push nobody in America needs.
