I have no idea where he gets the idea that the left believes "all cultures are equal".
Screeds like Condell's just give more credence to a belief that contemporary American conservatism is a reaction to the decline of the American white middle class.
Since conservative economic policies have contributed to that decline it's all very puzzling. But keep venting even though it does nothing to improve your condition.
My reading of Zinn is that all cultures deserve fair treatment and basic human rights and puts us in a movement for those rights. In other words the issue is the rejection of American exceptionalism.
Condell goes on about rejecting western culture but the right is certainly going to reject the modern welfare state for instance. In Condell' mind, not fighting to roll back the New Deal constitutes a rejection of western culture.
