The Liberal World Order

Disbelieve the content of this blog post at your own peril!

Furthermore, please, for your own sake if not for our republic's sake, put aside any of your cognitive biases about the following information or the spokespersons thereof.
Please refrain commenting until after you have viewed the entire video below (about 11 minutes):

A few days ago, an astute former-blogger, whom I personally know yet rarely hear from, sent me important emails containing information that every American should know.

Most of the body of the first email is below (emphases mine). Please refrain from commenting until you have digested all of the material below:
...It seems that everyone on the right side of the political equation attaches everything that's wrong to Democrat politics or incompetence.

No one ever considers globalist agendas, even after Deese's recent statement. I have been following much of the narrative delivered at Davos and looking at the Biden Administration's policies and actions since Day 1, then considering the outsourced corruption delivered through Hunter's business activities, and see nothing but globalist agendas on steroids.

The U.S. is the world's economic powerhouse, between our banking, brokerage and military might, and as such is the main obstacle to a world government. The only way we could be brought to heel so that we could be absorbed into a world government would be if, currency devalued and natural resource recovery denied, we became totally dependent on other countries for our basic needs.

The only way the American people would go along with the kind of government that would render us subservient to a world order would be if we were made desperate enough for a return to order from economic dismay, squalid quality of life problems and murderous crime that we would cede liberty to the government to make it happen, and everything we've seen under the Biden Administration seems to point in that direction.

Worse, the entire EV and solar energy spectrum revolves around doing business with Communist China, both because they have control over the mineral production needed and because Biden environmental regulations would prevent us from domestically producing our own "green" products.

What we're actually looking at is the globalist left, who know that America cannot be absorbed into a world government unless our economy is trampled to the extent that we are dependent on other countries for our basic needs and our currency has been devalued to the point that it's no longer the world's reserve currency, are working to achieve their agendas via the Biden Administration and the Democratic Party.
Our present suffering is no accident.  Rather, it is created by design.

Our present suffering will continue.  Brace yourselves for it.

Remember this...It's not a conspiracy theory if forces really are conspiring against you!

Simple Soundbites for the Simple-Minded

Silverfiddle Rant!
The problem with the Infotainment Media Complex is that it deals in outrage and soundbites for indoctrinated patsies.

Life is complicated and full of contradictions--the world is a complex and confusing place. The issues we face as individuals, as families, societies and as a nation cannot be addressed with soundbites and cartoonish blather.

Here in the Real World

The emotional sorority girl types on the left--who think they are so smart and all that despite the fact they have no real-world experience--have dusted off the Bush-Cheney era chickenhawk "with us or against us" taunts and cleverly turned them back on their former tormenters.

As Rod Dreher observes, the Americans (prog and con) spewing overheated, id-twitch rhetoric (from the comfy confines of western luxury) lack a "Tragic Sense," just like the rightwing warhawks of a generation ago.

Have any of the pontificators--left, right or whatever--ever lived in the real world?  Hell, I bet none of them have even been in a fistfight.  Have any of them had to deal with difficult or even dangerous people? In the real world, nations and people have to negotiate and compromise with bad people, including predatory landlords, neighborhood bullies, creepy gropers, and the criminals and drug users down the street.

Cable TV as Emotional Therapy

The Progressive blathersphere is jumping around and hooting like rabid shitgibbons over propaganda video of Mike Pompeo's "praise" of Vladimir Putin.  Of course, none of the Pavlovian fools bothered to go watch the whole interview.

This simple-minded Two Minutes Hate is an anti-intellectual rape of reason, and it discourages in-depth, frank discussions of the facts before us.

Pompeo's infamous comments came during a 45 minute interview with Harry Kazianis that was conducted before Russia attacked and invaded Ukraine.

Starting at the 13:00 minute mark, Pompeo deprecates and refutes Putin's fanciful atavistic dreams and goes on to make a clear and forceful case for how and why the west must frustrate Putin's military aggression.

Q & A

The infamous "praise" come at the 26 minute mark.  The tastemakers driving the leftwing outrage machine purposely omit Kazianis' question that sparked the answer

Kazianis:  "Do you consider Vladimir Putin a shrewd or reckless leader overall?"

As we now know, Pompeo commits treason by calling Putin smart and shrewd (He has made similar comments in the past.  Vlad's craftiness is no news to intelligence analysts).

A quick logic lesson for the pinheads calling this praise:

1. A thing cannot be two mutually-exclusive things at once. Hot and cold for example.

2. Conversely, a person can be both evil and smart. They are not mutually exclusive.  Indeed, stupid evil people usually don't enjoy Vlad's longevity.

If you can't make honest assessments of the threats around you, you cannot safely navigate them.  My advice?  Don't be a willing patsy.  Stay away from the Red Team - Blue Team outrage bullhorns.  If you must indulge in Tucker or Colbert, take it with a grain of salt, do your own research and think for yourself.

Protecting Myself

A pictorial depiction of my soul as I read and watch the daily news.  A 21st Century variation on Oscar Wilde's Gothic novel The Picture of Dorian Gray
In my view, our republic has reached critical mass on so many fronts! One such front is that of higher education.  But one example of our higher education system having gone off the rails: University assignment has students record themselves accusing someone of racism or homophobia.  How bizarre is that?

Do not continue reading this blog post until you have thoroughly read the above link from Campus Reform!

So how am I protecting myself — both my mental and physical health? See my recent comment at Politics Rewritten.  The complete content of my comment is below the fold.

Debasing The Cathedral Of Notre Dame

Notre Dame Cathedral Paris ablaze in April 2019:

Apparently, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is going to be "restored" in a way that will destroy the historical and faith-based significance of this touchstone of Western Civilization (emphases mine):
Fire-ravaged Notre Dame cathedral is being turned into a 'woke theme park' with renovators adding a 'discovery trail' and 'Christianity for dummies' exhibits, critics have claimed.

Under new plans, confessional boxes, altars and classical sculptures will be scrapped for trendy art murals, with sound and lighting effects creating 'emotional spaces.'

A 'discovery trail' will lead visitors through various chapels, with an emphasis on Africa and Asia, and scripture will be beamed onto the walls in various languages, including Mandarin. One of the sanctuaries will even be dedicated to the environment.

Maurice Culot, an award-winning Paris-based architect, told The Telegraph: 'It's as if Disney were entering Notre-Dame.

'What they are proposing to do to Notre-Dame would never be done to Westminster Abbey or Saint Peter's in Rome. It's a kind of theme park and very childish and trivial given the grandeur of the place.'...
Read the rest HERE.  Worth your time

******Robert Spencer comments — accurately, in my view (emphasis mine):
But to rebuild the cathedral back exactly the way it was would require the faith that built it in the first place, and that is long gone from France and much of the rest of Europe as well. The new Notre Dame will stand as a monument to the new faith of a Europe that has lost a sense of itself and of its own purpose. Those who visit it will be introduced to the trivial concerns and hysterical propaganda of the early twenty-first century, and if they had any familiarity with the old cathedral, they’ll gain a new understanding of why France in the early twenty-first century was in such a state of decline. The new cathedral will sing of France’s loss of itself and of its nerve. But it probably won’t do so for the 850 years that the old cathedral stood.
Over and over during the past several years, I have asked myself, "Why is Western Civilization so determined to trivialize and deprecate itself and, as a consequence, commit suicide?"  Robert Spencer has answered that question.

We need a Twenty-first Century Great Awakening!

Disrupted Supply Lines?

A personal story....

So, way back in May, Warren ordered a La-Z-Boy reclining chair and a half so as to accommodate him and his large dog Smokie. The recliner that Warren has now is all broken down. Unbelievably so! And in less than five years!  We aren't bothering moving that pitiful chair from Warren's old house to this house where we are now.  And, fortunately, I saved my parents' full size sofa from all those years ago.  Otherwise, we'd have a real paucity of living-room furniture!

But...

The huge living room in our house needs that recliner so that I have one recliner (a La-Z-Boy lift chair, bought in 2010 for Mr. AOW and still going strong all these years later, mostly because Mr. AOW never got well enough to use it consistently) for me and one for Warren.

Warren is still waiting for the chair he ordered back in July and prepaid at the time of ordering. When he contacted the store a few weeks ago, they shrugged and said, "It won't be ready until February."

The Real Plague

"Wokeness," self-righteousness masquerading as enlightenment, is the real plague upon the land.  Better definition: "authoritarianism masquerading as righteousness."

A few manifestations of "wokeness":

But deplatforming is not enough.

Moreover, deplatforming should not be limited only to Donald Trump: Trump's de-platforming could reshape the internet

How long before any and all Trump supporters — identified via facial-recognition software, posts in social media, and donor lists — are banned from the public square and even from employment?  For example, Teachers In Jefferson County, WV That Attended Rally At the Capitol Threatened With Termination.

Higher Education And Cancel Culture

If you care about the education of your children, your grandchildren, and your nieces and nephews; if you attend secondary school or later; or if you work in the field of education, then make time to watch this short video (11:32):

Overall I found it alarming how many of the letters sound as if they were written from Stalinist Russia or Maoist China. A history professor reports that at his school, the administration is seriously considering setting up an anonymous reporting system for students and professors to report “bias” that they have perceived. One professor committed the sin of “privileging the white male perspective” in giving a lecture on the philosophy of one of the Founding Fathers, even though Frederick Douglass sang that Founder’s praises. The administration tried to make him sit in a “listening circle,” in which his job was to stay silent while students explained how he had hurt them—in other words, a 21st-century-American version of a struggle session straight out of the Cultural Revolution.

FEATURED QUESTION: The Path To Destruction

In my homeschool World Literature class this year, we are reading George Orwell's 1984, the other outside-the-textbook readings being Edith Hamilton's Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes, William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, and Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart.

I am reading 1984 again, of course. Until now, I hadn't opened the novel itself for over half a century! Naturally, my insights and interpretations are much different now, and I find myself occasionally gasping and frequently nodding my head.

Anyway, here is one of the famous quotations from Orwell's dystopian novel.

For discussion, this FEATURED QUESTION, in two parts: (1) How is the above Orwell quotation true and engulfing us in Orwellian Times? (2) How is the above Orwell quotation not true and therefore not engulfing us in Orwellian Times?

To This We Have Come?

(hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance)

Video of less than two minutes (Oak Park, Illinois):

According to the YouTube blurb:
Oak Park trustee Susan Buchanan berated fellow trustees for speaking on equity during a recent meeting.

See excerpts of her comments below:

• I don't want to hear what you have to say.

• You shouldn't have an opinion on that. That is the point. Why do you have an opinion on equity.

• You have been white from birth. Why are you arguing what is a system of oppression? You've never experienced one so shut up! I don't want to hear from you! Just stop Dan, just stop Deno. You are not oppressed and people in Oak Park and we are trying to recognize that as a community. This mayor and this board is obviously not willing to face history. We have a chance to make history. It is time for this community to face equity. Enough! And you stop it! You are a white male! You stop it, you are a white male! You skin is light enough. Stop it!
On a larger scale, is America going to throw onto the trash heap every achievement because those achievements were largely accomplished by "old white men"?

Child Abuse

[Note from AOW: please scroll down.  Another active thread below]

From Infidel Bloggers Alliance's post Great Moments In The History of Leftism: 10-Year-Old Boy 'Drag Kid' Photographed With Naked Adult Drag Queen:

On Monday, 10-year-old Canadian boy Nemis Quinn Mélançon-Golden was featured in a troubling Huck Magazine piece highlighting the life of a so-called "child drag queen." Young Nemis, whose drag name is "Queen Lactacia," was shot by photographer Jonathan Frederick Turton for the spread.

In one of the shots that did not make the magazine, Nemis, in full drag makeup and a black dress, is posing for a photo with the Season 7 winner of "RuPaul's Drag Race," Violet Chachki. In the shocking photo, Violet is wearing nothing but a pair of heels and a small piece of fabric covering his genitals, as seen in the screenshot below ...

Camille Paglia v. The Hive

Silverfiddle Rant!
Nothing tingles my intellectual anticipation like a fresh Camille Paglia essay.

Camille Paglia is a brilliant professor who occupies that strange, abandoned no-man’s land of humanities, arts, literature and social criticism unencumbered by partisan ideology.

She's an atheist who laments the destruction of our Judeo-Christian foundations and the concomitant rise of nihilistic nothingness. She is a lesbian who decries the passing of the classic macho, testosterone-driven manly gentleman, and she has told the #MeToos to grow up and stop infantilizing women. She has rightly pointed out that cultural vandals and moral panic peddlers have destroyed the sexual mystique that has driven male-female relationships in all cultures since the dawn of mankind.

Here are some excerpts from her latest essay. Her wisdom approaches the Talmudic...

“…secular humanism has failed. As an atheist, I have argued that if religion is erased, something must be put in its place. Belief systems are intrinsic to human intelligence and survival. They “frame” the flux of primary experience, which would otherwise flood the mind.”

“But politics cannot fill the gap. Society, with which Marxism is obsessed, is only a fragment of the totality of life. As I have written, Marxism has no metaphysics: it cannot even detect, much less comprehend, the enormity of the universe and the operations of nature."

"Those who invest all of their spiritual energies in politics will reap the whirlwind. The evidence is all around us—the paroxysms of inchoate, infantile rage suffered by those who have turned fallible politicians into saviors and devils, godlike avatars of Good versus Evil.”

“when art is reduced to politics, as has been programmatically done in academe for 40 years, its spiritual dimension is gone.”

“A society that respects neither religion nor art cannot be called a civilization.

“Their (#MeToo movement) elevation of emotion and group solidarity over fact and logic has resurrected damaging stereotypes of women’s irrationality that were once used to deny us the vote.”

“... #MeToo movement has gone seriously off track... No democracy can survive in such a paranoid climate of ambush and summary execution. This is Stalinism, a nadir of politics.”

“What I see in both the Women’s March and #MeToo is an atavistic rediscovery by Western women of the joy of their own mutually nurturing solidarity—a primary feature of daily life during 10,000 years of the agrarian era that has been lost over the past two centuries of industrialization. As I have often noted, the sexes throughout human history actually had very little to do with each other. There was the world of men and the world of women, each with its own spheres of influence and activity. Women didn’t take men that seriously, and vice versa. ”

“What I see spreading among professional middle-class women is a bitter resentment toward men that is in many cases unjust and misplaced. With divorce so easy since the sexual revolution, women find themselves competing with younger women in new and cruel ways. Agrarian women gained power as they aged: young women were brainless pawns whose marriages, pregnancies, childcare, cooking, and other chores were acerbically supervised and controlled by the dictatorial crones (forces of nature whom I fondly remember from childhood)."

In short, #MeToo from a historical perspective is a cri de coeur from women who are realizing that the sexual revolution that many of us had once ecstatically embraced has in key ways devalued women, confused their private relationships, and complicated their smooth functioning in the workplace. It’s time for a new map of the gender world.”

A Warning For Our Ever-Connected Times

Thus opined my good friend Silverfiddle of the now-archived blog Western Hero, in response to this blog post at FreeThinke:

[W]e're pestered on all sides by mass consumers who wouldn't have a thought in their heads were it not for the Infotainment Media Complex.

We are being poisoned.

Let us remember that many of these "mass consumers," who do not have a single original thought in their heads, will vote in future elections. Therefore, we should not expect the onslaught of the "Infotainment Media Complex" to discontinue.

I'm hitting the Off Button more and more frequently.

Moreover, I find that Watership Down, the novel I'm reading right now, is much more interesting than anything on a screen. Another excellent novel by Richard Adams (May 9, 1920-December 24, 2016 ): Traveller.

With a hat tip to Bocopro (Click on the image to enlarge it):

Neither is there a change in policy on the part of the West's feckless leaders.
