From CNN:
Refugees face organ theft in the SinaiRead the rest HERE.
El Arish, Egypt (CNN) -- Bedouin smugglers involved in people trafficking are also believed to be stealing organs from refugees who are unable to pay their demands for large amounts of cash to take them into Israel.
[...]
According to rights groups, refugees -- from places like Ethiopia, Eritrea or Sudan -- are enslaved and tortured and the women raped if they cannot come up with the large sums of money the Bedouin try to extort from them and their families to smuggle them into Israel.
[...]
Hamdy Al-Azazy, head of New Generation Foundation, has photos showing corpses with distinctive scars in the abdominal area. All the photos were taken in a morgue in the Egyptian port town of El Arish after the bodies were brought there.
Al-Azazy says the organs are taken from refugees while they are still alive. "The organs are not useful if they're dead. They drug them first and remove their organs, then leave them to die and dump them in a deep dry well along with hundreds of bodies."
He says he was once taken to the area where the bodies are dumped after the organ removal process. He says he believes corrupt Egyptian doctors are working with the Bedouins, coming to Sinai with mobile hospital units to perform the operations to remove especially corneas, livers and kidneys.

An investigation headed by Saleh found illegal organ trafficking to be one of the most profitable criminal activities.
"Organ trade is the second most profitable trade behind only weapons trade," [Dr. Fakhry Saleh, the former head of Cairo's forensic department] said. "It brings in more money than drug dealing and prostitution."...
Is there no limit to the horror that human beings can visit upon fellow human beings?
Rape, kidnapping, slavery, buggery and robbery are a timeless part of the Bedouin culture. Like the Pashtuns, they live in a rough land and are a rough people.
ReplyDeleteIt's like an urban legend come true!
ReplyDeleteHuman life is a cheap commodity to those monsters.
I can't figure stitching the person whose organ is taken back together, though. Seems like a huge waste of time...
Humans have proven time and time again that there are no limits to their inhumanity. Thankfully this defect in our species is limited to a small percentage. This small percentage, however, have wrought great harm throughout the world.
ReplyDeleteThankfully this defect in our species is limited to a small percentage.
ReplyDeleteRight. We may have forgotten that one of the benefits of western civilization is that we value civilized behavior. We cannot make the same claim on behalf of that filth in the Middle East, and huge swaths of Africa under the influence of Islam for the past 1,400 years. Perhaps the real lesson here is that this is the true value of maintaining western culture …
We view the world from our ethnocentric point of view. It will finish us if we don't figure out how much of the world thinks and feels. Just take a look at the film, Lawrence of Arabia for a reminder
ReplyDeleteYup, that does it for me ... no world traveling.
ReplyDeleteHappens in China, Korea, Russia ... anyplace you have lots of poor and an entitled class.
ReplyDeleteWhy are they going to Israel, i thought Israel was some sort of nasty, horrible apartheid state.
ReplyDelete"Is there no limit to the horror that human beings can visit upon fellow human beings?"
The white man tried to put some limits on it back in the old days in places like Africa, but then he was pilloried and hated for it. So now, it's pretty much on for young and old, the weak are ruled over by the strong and vicious.
I am sickened by what I just viewed. The butchers committing these heinous acts of barbarism should be given the same the treatment once they are caught.
ReplyDeleteNo mercy, because they didn't show any to those poor helpless, innocent people.
I would like to say bit, "HELLO!" To my buddy, Mustang!
Is there no limit to the horror that human beings can visit upon fellow human beings?
ReplyDeleteI question whether these are humans doing this.
Brook- my guess would be so the bodies don't leave blood trails that can lead to the trafficers.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I am not surprised by this. When human life isn't sacred, what wouldn't be done, especially if profitable?
Is there no limit to the horror that human beings can visit upon fellow human beings?
No. If evil is not restrained, then it will florish and do as it will. This seems to be the case in these countries...

I"m with Mustang on this....societies like ours don't do this. so far.
ReplyDeleteMustang,
ReplyDeleteGreat comment!
The West is turning a blind eye to the barbarism practiced by millions of followers of Mohammed.
Wildstar,
ReplyDeleteIf evil is not restrained, then it will florish....
Too many people around the world -- and, yes, here in the United States -- seem to believe that evil doesn't exist.
The arrogance of 21st Century mankind has no limits in that 21 Century mankind has concluded that evil no longer exists on a large scale.
I recall that GWB was laughed at when he used the phrase "axis of evil."
Silverfiddle,
ReplyDeleteRape, kidnapping, slavery, buggery and robbery are a timeless part of the Bedouin culture.
True.
But have you checked world history textbooks lately? The Bedouins are glorified!
Wildstar,
ReplyDeleteHave you watched this video? Write up a brief summary, and you can get some extra credit in Economics/Current Events!
AOW-
ReplyDeleteI have noticed the trend that 'man is basically good, evil is just circumstance' blah, blah, blah... what is worrisome is seemenly good people believe that!
As for the video, I turned in a paper on that when you first mentioned it... will redo, EC is always nice :)

Have you folks been following the child deaths in Protestant families who use the Michael Pearl text?
ReplyDeleteQuite a little group of fundamentalist animals.
The guy advocates using a switch on six month olds.
"The Pearls provide instructions on using a switch from as early as six months to discourage misbehavior and describe how to make use of implements for hitting on the arms, legs or back, including a quarter-inch flexible plumbing line that, Mr. Pearl notes, “can be rolled up and carried in your pocket.”
--- New York Times (yeah, I know)
But he's biblical so carry on.
Once again, the problem is fundamentalism and we have plenty of it right here. Luckily the culture has been reasonably successful, no thanks to the right, in controlling these animals.
Duck,
ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge, Michael Pearl is viewed as the leader of a cult.
How many followers and adherents does he have?
His book has sold well on Amazon. Amazon has been asked to pull it. But if it's Christians acting badly it's always a cult, right?
ReplyDeleteAnd human organ harvesters in Korea, Thailand, Russia and other nations are never harvesting for sale in America. Couldn't happen right?
And only the Bedouins harvest? Never for sale in Israel? Your bigotry is showing again.
This is blood-chilling.
