Will The Islamic World Freak Out Tonight?

(Note: Two posts today. Please scroll down)

There will be a total eclipse of the moon in the wee hours of Tuesday, December 21, over much of the West.

The eclipse will not be visible in Saudi Arabia. The map of where tonight's lunar eclipse will be visible:

According to this source:
An eclipse is a sign of the majesty and power of Allah.
I imagine that various imams will interpret this lunar eclipse as some kind of sign of Islam's power over the West. Allah's will and a sign from Allah and all that. Moslems are exceedingly superstitious and see signs of Allah's will in nearly everything.

  1. Earlier today, I posted the above at Infidel Bloggers Alliance, where Silverfiddle made the following comment:

They rioted, burned and bombed over some stupid cartoons, so the Good Lord only know what they'll do over this.

More importantly, you make a key point. The Imams and other puppet masters cannot be so stupid as to believe an eclipse has any special power, but they will surely use things like this to manipulate the sweaty, superstitious hordes.

At that same foregoing link, Revere Rides Again made the following comment:

And it's Christmas week. Hordes of sweaty, superstitious shaheed wannabes with Sudden Jihad Syndrome believing that Allah has given them a Sign and frantically looking up websites on how to build an IED all over the internet. This could wind up sounding like a very amplified Chinese New Year parade.

I just couldn't keep myself from transcribing the above comments here -- they're real gems!

  2. Those comments are indeed very good!

Although the moon worshippers will not be able to see it, they will no doubt make some hoopla over this being over the West.

  4. Allah is not happy with Muslim lands:

"Iran's state TV says a magnitude 6.5 earthquake has struck southeastern Iran...."

    Allahu Akbar!

  5. On the other hand, on what day or night do they not freak out?

  6. Exactly what Sounder said... when are these people NOT raising hell over something?

  7. The Muslims will most certainly use this event for propaganda. Most likely tying it in with the Moon worshipers of Mecca and the daughters of God before the rise of Islam destroyed them blah, blah, blah. I for one will be watching this event with great anticipation. Merry Christmas to you and yours AoW!

  8. This is clearly a sign that they need to go out and blow something up.

  10. The most spectacular lunar eclipse I've ever seen!

I awoke around 2:30 AM EST to watch the eclipse from my bedroom window. When the moon turned red, clouds shortly moved in. The entire cloud-covered western sky turned red! I think that the clouds were reflecting the red color. Around 3:40 AM, the cloud cover got thicker, and the red color faded. Later in the morning, the clouds dispersed, and the full moon shone brightly.

I'm glad that I managed to watch much of this eclipse. Worth the effort -- particularly because I didn't have to go outside into the freezing cold.

  11. more than lunar eclipses...I would be more worried about more tangible signs....a country rich in resources it refused to mine, a growing debt, a weak currency, corrupt leaders, a populace more concerned with its entertainment than its liberty.......to those that study history this sounds more like Rome every day.

  12. Blogginator,
they hated us before Bush and they will hate us after Bush

All the GWB effort to win hearts and minds has been quite a failure, IMO. So much blood and treasure spent in the name of winning hearts and minds -- and for what?

to those that study history this sounds more like Rome every day

    Yes.

Some of us have been sounding the alarm and using up most of our strength in doing so. But Americans don't want to hear the warning! They'd rather play with their iPads or iPods. Pfffft.
