  1. I actually tuned in to the broadcast and found the show to be interesting. Since I know nothing about cinema, and my wife was on the phone with her best friend, I did not call in. I wanted to just to say hi. I tuned in about 10 minutes late, and was never sure if the recieved audio was live. How does that work? When you connect with the stream, do you catch the program in mid-stream (so to speak) or are you connecting in real time?

    1. That didn't make sense. When you connect does the stream start at the beginning of the show, or are you automatically listening to current audio(live)?

    2. Bob,
You likely joined the show already in progress.

Now can go to this link and hear the show from beginning to end.

  3. Mr. Ducky... I watched Band of Brothers years ago after a discussion about Godard with you, and you had asked me what I thought the "David" painting stood for.

As for Weimar, I took a college course called "France and Germany in the 20th Century" that dealt primarily with the Weimar and Vichy regimes. You would have loved the class, but hated the teacher. (a French psycho-historian, Jacques Szaluta).

Very interesting show. You should let always/wc watch "Band of Brothers" and do a follow up show.

  4. ...and ps - I think that Band of Outsiders is very similar to "Y tu Mama, Tambien" or. The story is only there to help you see the frame/background more clearly (as in Children of Men).
