    1. Duck,
Why would I include any story about Operation Spring? The "movement" never caught on to any extent.

    2. Because the whole thing way so damn funny.

We have to keep laughing or we'll go insane.

Reakky like this one. I'm in a good mood today.

  2. Why was there a delay declaring Boko Haram a terrorist group?

Because initially it was not. It was a political group in the north which was not engaged in terror. Then the Nigerian government arrested and killed its leader. Things went downhill from there to its current state.

So we didn't see any value in calling them terrorist and shipping arms to a government that was in the middle of abuses against its people.

Remember, the world is often a little more complicated than the right wing mind can accept.

  3. Why did it take 2 years for the Obama Admin To Label Boko Haram a Terrorist Organization?

Because our Dear Secretary of State Hillary Klintoon , the one that Obama called “Wonderful” refuse to designate Boko Haram as a terrorist organization! But now that someone else has the job, she’s singing a totally different tune, saying that it’s “abominable, and it’s criminal, and that it IS an act of terrorism and it really merits the fullest response possible” Well DUH! And to quote Her Thighness herself, “What difference at this point would it have made”?
And the “Progressives” want a Clinton Presidency? Won’t these leftist nut cases ever learn for the past?

And now the whole wold is shocked that anyone or any group would be so damn brazen and cruel to be abducting hundreds of innocent young girls. So shocked that even our First lady has been running around with that Sad Face being photographed hold up those ridicules Bring Back Our Girls hashtag signs cardboard signs.

    1. I just read that Time Magazine has declared Boko Haram as "not Islamic." Boko Haram declares otherwise, of course.

  4. Hilliary Clinton fought against having this group listed as a terrorist group while Secretary of State. Wake up, people!
And as for the First lady with that stupid sigh:
I thought this was a joke – that the First Lady of the United States of America actually had her picture taken and published with the Twitter hashtag: #BringBackOurGirls. Is this what we’ve become in the United States of America? Hash tagging from the FLOTUS?!? We ARE in deep doo-doo!

I WOULD THINK THAT WE COULD BE A BIT MORE PRODUCTIVE THEN THAT..

  5. And those ignorant douchebags on the progressive blogs think it's a big joke that we republicans are "fixated" on Benghazi. And all this time these brainwashed retartds can't get a "Traffic Jam off the headlines!

  6. It’s time for the Republicans to get over Benghazi and segue into their next smear campaign.

  7. I thing we get caught up in secondary questions and get off the main topic. Like with the Nigerian school girls. Whether Boko Haram was labeled terrorist or not, and yes there are reasons it should be and should have been labeled terrorist and treated accordingly, ...the policy of the Obama administration should be the main topic. They always choose and back the wrong people. They always submit to the Islamist regimes. They never speak out or act to protect Christians around the world. The fact that the Nigerian girls, at least some of them, are Christians in this case seems secondary. Our foreign policy is in the trash can and the US will be suffering for years and years as a result. A strong leader is required to turn things around. I would love for Allen West to run, his military experience would be invaluable in a President.

As far as I know, the Obama administration hasn't taken a position on this: Sudanese woman sentenced to death for apostasy.

  9. Apparently, Boko Haram received some funds from Osama bin Laden. If so, wouldn't it have made sense for any U.S. administration to have listed Boko Haram as a terrorist group?

  10. "Civil forfeiture is when police and prosecutors seize property, cars or cash from someone they suspect of wrongdoing."
Years ago, my son, who was a teen at the time, was pulled over and an ounce of pot was found on him, along with about $1000 cash that he was taking to buy a car with.
Never saw the $1000 again. He'd have had to sue to get it back.
That really gave him warm and fuzzies for authority figures.

    1. Ed,
Such things as you described in your comment actually occur more often than most of us know.

Some years ago, I read of one case in which the automobile being used when the driver was pulled over and caught with cocaine (not a huge amount, but quite a bit). The vehicle, of course, was impounded and never returned to the owner, the wife; she was not involved in the crime and never charged. In fact, her husband had taken the vehicle in the middle of the night without her knowledge or consent. Still, the vehicle -- the only vehicle that the couple had -- was never returned.

It is often the case that legal items of value seized when a vehicle is impounded are never returned to the owners of those items.

  11. Boko Haram has only just recently begun to fit the criteria for designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization under U.S. Code 1189. Actionable intelligence, not media reporting, must be collected and vetted before a groups name can appear on the State Departments nomination list, and only then run through the bureaucratic wickets.

    1. CI,
      Thanks for that info.

It does seem to me, however, that actionable intelligence should have been available earlier.

      Delete
    2. That would have been nice, but collection priorities and assets really weren't available to target Nigeria before recent events. The British, who have a larger intelligence stake in that nation, didn't even have much in the way of reporting. The sad truth is that there are simply too many violent extremist groups [existing or emerging] for us or our partner nations to cover down on.

  12. # 5 is the clear winner for me, in equal parts for the subject itself, as well as nearly ten years after the Kelo decision.....legislators are just now becoming concerned??

  13. ONE: [Los Angeles] Man, 79, Beaten After Accidentally Bumping Into Car In Grocery Store Parking Lot

Certainly most regrettable, but only one in hundreds of thousands of such incidents. It may depend too in how HARD he bumped it. So, not of universal significance.

TWO: Obama Admin Can’t Say Why It Took Two Years To Label Boko Haram a Terrorist Organization

Well, this administration has proved itself so incompetent at everything but foisting Marxist initiatives on a generally unreceptive public, that we simply take ot for granted that they on't know sh-t from Shinola about anything else -- and couldnt care less anyway.

THREE: U.S. businesses are being destroyed faster than they’re being created

Until I read #5, I thought sure this would be my first choice. I do think it's a close second, however. A nation hostile to profit-makng is a MORIBUND nation.

FOUR: [At the same time stating that there is insufficient funding to serve taxpayers,] Obama’s IRS Spends Nearly $100 Million on Office Furniture

This is of course totally outrageous, but its so typical of what we've learned to expect from our perennially abusive, exploitative government, it almost seems comical. Better to laugh than cry, because there is NOTHING any of us can do about it, unless we emigrate to another country where conditions are bound to be worse - OR - throw all caution to the winds, risk life, limb and property for ourselves and our families, and begin The Second American Revolution, where undoubtedly hundreds of thousands, probably milions would die. because we have become horribly addicted to ease, comfort, pleasure and instant gratification, we have lesft ourselves with no good alternatives.

FIVE: Policing for Profit? Lawmakers, advocates raise alarm at growing gov’t power to seize property

Yessiree, BOB! This is the Number One Bloodboiler of the whole sorry lot without doubt. The ability to own and enjoy private property has been the hallmark and the linchpin of our society. Without regarding private property rights as sacrosanct -- sacred and inviolable -- we will soon erase the progress of the past five hundred years at least, and that would reduce most to the lowly status formerly enjoyed by Mediaeval serfs and vassals.

NEO-FEUDALISM is where MARXISM unfailingly LEADS

  18. Number Three,: U.S. businesses are being destroyed faster than they’re being created.

For The First Time In My Adult Life, I Agree With Hillary Clinton:.
Hillary Klinton just hit the nail on the head. and I 100% agree with her 100 percent.
Let's be honest, lets call it like it is, and call a Spade a Spade! Obama failed and he failed big time, the American dream is gone. Most of the jobs generated under this president have been low paying shit jobs. And believe me I know that she's just saying what she needs to say in order to get elected, and it’s so typical of libs like he to create a mess and then run on fixing it. but in this case it’s all true and we all know it. She criticized economic and social conditions under President Blabber barely mentioning the accomplishments of the man who appointed her secretary of State. Clinton's address, at the New America Foundation, was a broad indictment of the country's current leadership, with exactly one -- one -- note of praise for the Democratic president Clinton has called her partner and friend.

Clinton, never known for self-effacement, began by noting her lifelong desire to make the world a better place and the "driving force" toward public service instilled in her by her mother. From there, Clinton went on to describe the United States today as a very troubled place.
She began by noting what she called "the basic bargain of America." "No matter who you are or where you come from," she said, echoing her husband's campaigns from the 1990s, "if you work hard and play by the rules, you'll have an opportunity to build a good life."

But: "For too many families in America today, that isn't the way it works. Instead of getting ahead, they're finding it harder and harder than ever to get their footing in our changing economy. NO SHIT! The dream of upward mobility that made this country a model for the world feels further and further out of reach."

Millions of Americans are "frustrated, even angry" about today's economy, Clinton said. Falling into poverty is a constant threat, and upward mobility is almost impossible. "Forget about getting rich," Clinton told the audience, "I'm talking about getting into the middle class and staying there." Wasn’t that seet of the Old Bag Lying A-Hole?, to finally tell the truth!...

And what happened to the "American Left”? They were SO outspoken against the Vietnam War, against an all-powerful government. Now that they're in power, they have nothing to say about a government that is at war all over the globe, uses drones to kill indiscriminately, uses the NSA to spy on us, uses the IRS to abuse us.

I recently went to my son's graduation from a VERY Progressive institution and not a single freaken peep about how our government is treating us. Not a single freakin peep about Benghazi, and the economy, or about the NSA, or the privacy and civil liberties of Americans!
But they are very outspoken about the Bridgegate scandal!! Very Interesting isn’t it!

The Tea Party is speaking out, but on the Left, are they too busy fluffing the regimen to speak up?
Both Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama are horrible, terrible lying, corrupt and incompetent people and should not be anywhere near leading this country .

  24. YES! Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi! Hell YES, we want answers!
We had 4 of our people savagely Murdered by Terrorists!! Ambassador Chris Stevens was a Good and Patriot American appointed by this administration. Ty Woods served in the special forces for over 20 years. People like this, though, are nothing more than useful idiots to elites such as Obama and Hillary Clinton. Stevens was tortured and brutally murdered during the attack. Woods fought courageously to fend off the attack and save his fellow countrymen. And people wonder why many of us simply despise the likes of Obama and Clinton. And these leftist Idiots want us to forget them and “Move on?” Move on to what? More Lies and more cover ups, and more scandals? You all know as well as I that the the Benghazi massacre was a cover-up from the start to the finish, and that Obama and Clinton, and the others are lying .
Hell YES, we want answers! And we won’t be silenced!
