“No guts, no glory”
"Since Jan. 1 of this year, according to congressional testimony presented Thursday by the Government Accountability Office, the Federal Aviation Administration has authorized 106 federal, state and local government “entities” to fly “unmanned aircraft systems,” also known as drones, within U.S. airspace..."

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
ReplyDeleteWell, we didn't need the Fourth Amendment anyway. Of course, courts hold there is no expectation of privacy when at a public place. I suspect the founding fathers never imagined government drones spying on the American people.
Sam,
ReplyDeleteThe bad news just keeps on coming.
Do Americans pay attention? Do they even care?
Mustang,
ReplyDeleteI suspect the founding fathers never imagined government drones spying on the American people.
Of course they didn't!
This particular development is so Orwellian.
And of course you don't even mention what these are being used for. It's primarily for environmental and agricultural proposes. Of course if you prefer to 'tin-foil hat' this, go right ahead.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with Liberalman. He is a douche bag.
ReplyDelete~Louie
Well those drones will have to hurry to catch Mr. AOW on his new scooter!
ReplyDeleteSee Photoshop that I emailed to you.
Libmann, READ THE POSTS, comprehension is aided that way.
ReplyDeleteStogie,
ReplyDeleteMr. AOW bestirred himself early and has now seen the Photoshops that you sent. He has also saved them to his iPad. Mr. AOW's brother still races dirt bikes, so we'll be sending a copy of the one with the headlight to him.
Of course, at some point, both Mr. AOW and I will be posting those pics. Will let you know when they go up on the web.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
In essence every bit of this was predicted
ReplyDeleteFirst by E.M Forster in 1909 - The Machine Stops
A variant by Aldous Huxley - A Brave New World
Then George Orwell's great masterpiece from the 1940's - Nineteen-Eighty-Four
Later, in the 1980's Margaret Atwood further developed the dystopian theme in The Handmaid's Tale
Highly intelligent, perceptive, richly imaginative, far-seeing individuals have seen this coming for a very long time.
Ironic that all of them with the possible exception of E. M. Forster, whose posthumous novel "Maurice" revealed him to have been a homosexual, all of these writers considered themselves to be socialists. They knew that totalitarianism was coming, but they failed to see it's source.
As Horace Walpole said, "Life is a comedy to him who thinks, but a tragedy to him who feels."

From the sound of it, portable LEAD SHIELDS would be far more appropriate than Tin Foil Hats.
ReplyDeleteThe incredible opacity and obtuseness of liberal partisans knows no bounds, of course, BUT we must admit that is true of ALL mindless chauvinists of EVERY stripe.
~ FreeThinke
The ironic thing is if this were reported dureing President Romney's term, then Liberalmann would be the conspriracy nut but because Barry the Occupier in Chief is in the WH its ok man just calm man...like dude..Barry is just lookig for some "new plants" so he can get back into the Chum Gang
ReplyDeleteOh I should probably explain...I have decided since Barry address Governor Romney disrespectfully as Mitt and Barry works for me and the rest of you people then I should be within my 1st Amendment right to call him Barry...I know it might be his name but the insult is the samke either way.
ReplyDeleteHello Mrs, AOW,
ReplyDeleteIts me, "B", we met at the Romney rally in Sterling. I'm SOOO sorry that it has taken me such a long time make an appearance on your blog, and I feel especially shameful considering the heart-warming comments you made about me in your post about the event. Those kind sentiments produced a smile and a glow on my part that endured all day long. However, I must tell you that I checked out your blog the MOMENT I returned home after the rally, and enjoyed it so much that I've been a regular, dedicated member of your reading audience every day since. I appreciate the candor and sincerity that you display, and look foreward to sharing my own views about the topics you introduce on a daily basis (albeit, from an explicitly proud yet non-partisan liberal perspective).
Anywhoo, I would love to share own thoughts in detail about the domestic survelliance/drone program being discussed but regretably it'll have to wait 'till a more convenient time. I'll simply say that I agree with your (Mrs. AOW), "freethinke", and "blogginator"s opinions about President Obama's use of drones and the Liberal hypocrisy it produces. See ya later, Mrs. AOW, can't wait to speak again!
"B"!
ReplyDeleteHello and welcome!
I remember you very well.
I meant every word that I said about you.
Yes, I am blunt. I say what I think, and if I'm not sure what I think, I say so. I've never been much on head games and the like.
Feel free to comment anytime!
Glad to know that you're visiting here.
I wonder if there will be any 'real' pilots in the military in the next 20 years--or - will they all be 'flying' drones-
ReplyDeleteconsider the AF base closed down to 'real planes' --all of the 'pilots' are at computers flying drones...
Sad-
