Obama Spouts Collectivism (With Addendum)

Obama is off his rocker, and that is the nicest thing that I can say.

Obama's statement:
"If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."
He's ratcheted up. Downright wild and screaming.

Watch the demagoguery:

Basic definition of collectivism:
Collectivism is any philosophic, political, religious, economic, or social outlook that emphasizes the interdependence of every human being. Collectivism is a basic cultural element that exists as the reverse of individualism...
Has this portion of Obama's July 13, 2012 speech in Roanoke, Virginia, aired on any mainstream-media television broadcast?

Addendum: Check out these graphics!

HERE and HERE, at Infidel Bloggers Alliance. Spew alert!

  1. He's getting shrill and shouty, isn't he.

The smirking smart-ass street punk had given way to the angry, petulant smart ass.

It is sickening that America has fallen to this, where we are demagogued and harangued by a sitting president whose speech could be confused with that of Hugo Chavez.

He holds us all in contempt.

  2. Joseph Stalin was big on collectivism, too. Let's see ... how did that turn out again?

  3. Jim: A question if I may Mr. President. Who paid for those roads and bridges and the police and fire protection?

B.O.: Well, all those hard working American taxpayers. That’s who.

Jim: You mean those 50% who actually pay income tax and the 10% that pay 60% of the income taxes??

B.O.: Well, yes. Those that can must take care of those that can’t. It’s only fair.

Jim: Right. And where, Mr. President, did those taxpayers get the income on which they paid taxes?

    B.O.: Huh…huh..

Jim: They got got it from the jobs provided by the producers, didn’t they Mr. President?

    B.O.: Huh…huh…

Jim: You are really stupid, aren’t you, Mr. President?

    B.O.: Huh…huh…

If only SOMEONE would force Obama to have that conversation!

  5. Obama's rhetoric SHOULD provide ample grounds for forcibly removing him from office and having him tried for TREASON, but pigs will fly before that will ever happen.

Some people, whom I consider very opaque, believe the First Amendment permits SEDITION and out and out SUBVERSION as long as "the people" are persuaded to vote themselves into slavery.

    I most vehemently DISAGREE.

Marxism, like Fascism, Islamism, Satanism and Thugee have NO PLACE WHATSOEVER in OUR society. DAMMIT!!!

  6. I hope Obama keeps revealing his true beliefs. Perhaps we'll even see a debate over principles. This could be an interesting election.

  7. I heard today he's been using less and less of the teleprompters and BOY, I believe that teleprompter did two things:

    1. kept him for saying what he really feels
    2. kept his anger down as he followed script.

He's getting NUTS and the sad thing is, he says it in that ridiculously folksy irate way that makes him look righteous! And people BELIEVE HIM

  9. Individualism vs. collectivism is exactly right. For all it's size and wealth of natural resources, America still wouldn't have become such a successful country except for the lack of controls over us as individuals and individualism was held in high esteem and called the Pioneering Spirit.

Obama is way out in left field regarding his claim that "someone else built those roads that you haul your goods to market on", since we're all part of the system that built those roads and we all still pay taxes for all of our infrastructure. We all made it happen, not "someone else did it".
That's taking away both the credit and incentive for people to build and create in new directions. We aren't the ants that his brand of socialism would have us be.

    ReplyDelete
  10. That's all well and good, but still not as left-wing as Romney.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Z,
I thought that he was off teleprompter and heard yesterday (and again from you) that he indeed was.

He's a loose cannon when he's off the teleprompter!

Did his speechifying "get away from him"? Maybe. But, IMO, what happened was the kind of thing that demagogues have always done. Watch any one of those speechifying demagogues for the proof!

His ridiculously folksy irate way is getting on my nerves like you would not believe! Clearly, he is pandering -- I've seen teachers do the same with high school students. When that method is overplayed, it tips over into something else, and loss of respect from the group cannot be far off. Idols always have feet of clay.

  12. Beamish,
still not as left-wing as Romney

    I don't agree.

Now, if you had said, "Nearly as left wing as Romney," you'd get no argument from me at all. Romney isn't right wing in most respects -- at least, not consistently so.

  13. Liberalmann,
Over the line. Deleted. My property, my rules.

I live in Virginia. I know the full text and context of Obama's Roanoke speech.

Quit shilling for Obama. Supporting him is one thing. Defending him is one thing. Shilling for him AND, once again, in effect calling me a liar results in deletion. Ergo, I have deleted your comment.

I'll bet dollars to donuts that, after the speech was over, Obama's advisers told him that he'd made yet another gaffe. In fact, at one point (may not be on the video clip), Obama HIMSELF displayed a facial expression that betrayed a bit of dismay -- as if his ears had just heard and his brain had just processed what flew out of his mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Black Sheep,
Obama is all about "community." The word "communism" is, of course, a related word.

Interestingly, Obama does nothing for his half brother George, who lives in a hut in Kenya. If Obama truly believes that we are all symbiotic and/or our brother's keeper, he doesn't show it with regard to his own blood kin.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jason,
I hope Obama keeps revealing his true beliefs.

He has done so numerous times, of course.

But recently his use of the bully pulpit has put on widespread public display what he really is. His minions will have an impossible task now trying to delete all the recent gaffes and spoutings.

  16. @Conservative on Fire
Awesome. I would love to see OB forced through that conversation... though that would be good for ANY liberal raging against the rich. Hmm...

    On topic:

Well well well, he is getting more annoying to listen to by the second. I actually had to turn my audio as down as it could go so to not bother everyone in the house. Screaming like an African preacher- wait, make that like a circus leader- does not inspire confidence. It makes you look like a high schooler.
As for the content... yayaya, we all build on what was before us. we all stand taller on another's shoulders (and the man underneithe stands taller as well), as the saying goes. That does not mean that the work you do is not your own- it is still your brain running the company, your skills inventing new things, your hand molding your work to its finished form. It is still your company. A company/business is not an island, but it still amasses resources into something people want or need. the roads do not.

Aaannnddd that guy needs his script. He is, as I've said before, a good actor. That's it. Off script, he sounds a tad absurd, though it is nice to see his true (red) colors. Honestly, I am reminded of Biden... when off script, he says alot of things he regrets. And the Left have to work overtime to fix it. These grafts (is that the right word?) are harder to erase though...

  20. From Liberalman’s source (Media Matters —full disclosure: a communist front organization)

OBAMA: If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business -- you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet.

The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don't do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.

    Analysis
The people who helped to create “this unbelievable American system” include entrepreneurs, employees, the military-industrial complex, scientists, inventors, innovators, and taxpayers. Business people “built” their businesses. We call them risk-takers. People who put it all out there, and stand to either lose everything, or make a profit. What government does is “get in the way.” Al Gore took credit for inventing the internet, but that came to us as part of advancements in military technology —also paid for by the taxpayers.

The “somebody” who invested in highways and bridges wasn’t government. These are taxpayer investments. What the government has done is ignore demands for infrastructure improvements, and as a consequence, our bridges are in serious disrepair. They are dangerous. All government does is manage things —and poorly. Except for dreaming up ways to screw business people, the congress or executive branch has never been innovative or efficient. For Obama to suggest otherwise merely belies his communist ideology and training —and it proves he is a shameless liar.

Now then, for Obama to use “fire fighting” as an example underscores what an idiot he is. Obama canceled a key firefighting equipment contract, and is now coming out for a photo op with the people he screwed: the citizens of Colorado. In 2011, Obama’s Forest Service terminated a contract with Aero Union, a company operating six (6) Lockheed P-3 Orion aircraft, and was about to add a seventh to its fleet. Yeah, Obama’s government is doing a fine job.

What conservatives want is less government and more liberty. We think we can achieve this when we limit government to the enumerated powers contained in the US Constitution. If you disagree, then you must advocate more government, and less liberty, and this would make you someone who presents a real and present danger to the United States of America. And a nitwit.

  29. Obama is a train wreck arriving in November.

He probably believes he actually did earn the Presidency and so he has stopped listening to his handlers. The result is him revealing himself in a way tha can not be scrubbed by the government media.

the liberals like libermann simply can not stand it when their "heros" are screwing up beecause their own self worth is wrapped up in the narcissic fantasy that is obamamania.

It is unfortunate you can not use liberalmann comments to educate your classes on the way liberal debate. It is a stream of hate filled cursing.

  30. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, whom Romney cites in his misguided, Fox News style of criticism of Obama's edited speech, would not have done ANYTHING if it hadn't been for the government spending billions developing computers for NASA.

But I have a solution,. I have a business where I travel. So...I build my own roads. Yeah, I have hundreds of mile of my personal highways. Oh, I built my own bridges too. And when I ship my products, I use my own railroads!

If not for Andrew Carnegie, a private citizen, libraries today wouldn't be what they are, and NASA wouldn't have developed either.

    Get a clue.

    ReplyDelete
  33. To say there are roads is like saying there is air. We all enjoy the air but only some of us get off the couch and do something.

Government does not and is not hear to make small businesses. Government is here to protect our borders both physical and economic to ALLOW business and other ideas to flourish.

If Obama meant that he would defend our borders to prevent illegals from pulling labor prices down then you would have a circumstancial argument that government helped create a business. However, that is not what Obama meant because he himself removed all other variables, intelligence, hard work, etc...

What Obama was saying is every one needs a tony resco who can score you a good deal even if you have to let that person root in jail while you play you 100th round of golf.

  35. Andrew Carnegie? The robber baron who also benefited and stretched government policeis in the same way Romney has? Nice example, nice spin! lol!

The fact of the matter is Obama extolled personal ingenuity and success in his speech as he has in other speeches, but of course the right doesn't mention that.

As usual Fox News edits selected parts to fit their narrative and get the 'gullible' to believe it.

If you truly believe Romney cares about and will help average Americans, vote for him. You'll get what you deserve. He certainly has shown (to me)that he is not a true Patriot when he makes his billions off of the American system and squirrels away his money off shore to avoid paying his fair share of taxes. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of jobs (of average Americans) he's sent over seas.

Look here, fool. I chose Carnegie because I'm both a teacher of literature and of music.

    Don't like that example?

How about Thomas A. Edison? Alexander Graham Bell? George Washington Carver? Elias Howe? The Wright Brothers?

Surely, you are not so big a fool as to get my point.

If Obama truly supported personal ingenuity that really produces something, including jobs, then why doesn't he loosen up all the restrictions for personal ingenuity?

As for jobs going overseas, look up what Steve Jobs had to say about THAT.

  38. Hundreds of thousands of job overseas???? You are blaiming Romney for all the job moved overseas surely for such a figure is ridiculously high.

How about all our tax dollars that followed out of this country to foreign corporations as part of the economic recovery act by Obummer?

What about the cash for clunkers program that resulted in increased foreign auto sales and again Barry used our tax dollars?

The friggin Olympic uniforms were made in China--wake up liberalmann and smell the polyster.

The Keystone pipeline is moving ahead on the Canada side and we exporting workers to Canada.

We dont know if Romney is the answer. But we darn sure know Obummer is taking us to economic collapse while shredding the Constitution.

So yes we would vote for ham sandwich over Hussein. There is nothing gullible about it for we are concerned either way.

And those came from the generousity of government?

you and Barry and the other communists have the same twisted view of reality.

Government "did not build those things" we did with our sweat and with our taxes. Since the rich pay about 70% of the taxes you could say the very rich you complain about have not only provided the tax dollars to build that road but they are kind enough to let you use it to meet with your communist friends to complain about the people that provide for the taxes to build the infrastructure..

Are we done with this topic now?
