Back To The Ophthalmologist

(If you must have politics, please scroll down)

Back to the doctor I go again today for another check on my iritis and the stye which may have started this misery.

Today I learn whether or not I need surgery for the stye, which may have now become a chalazion.

Sam and I have posts queued up for the remainder of this week and a bit beyond — just in case I have eye surgery at some point in the next few days.

  1. Praying for your eye health! You see the world so clearly with your inner sight...gotta keep the regular vision going, as well.

    1. Ducky,

Please change your moniker to "Ducky is here," so we don't have to look at the miserable electronic pollution that now beclouds your identity.

      Thank you.

    2. FT,
      No kidding!

Every template for Blogger's comments has a drawback. **sigh**

Fortunately, it's easy for Duck to change his moniker via a Profile tab. Let's see if he chooses to do so.

I think that more and more blogs are going to opt for the kind of formatting that this template offers.

  4. I can only echo the sentiments so eloquently expressed above, AOW.

Inner vision -- better known, perhaps, as "Wisdom and Understanding" -- is far more important than anything else, but even so, none of us would want to be deprived of any of our five physical senses -- especially the most precious gift of SIGHT.

I ought to know since,as you know, I have been teetering on the brink of blindness, myself, lo these many years.

The very best of good luck to you. I hope your problem will soon be resolved to your satisfaction before moving on to the next inevitable crisis.

  9. I'm all on pins and needles waiting to hear the results of your tests today, AOW. Shouldn't they have told you by NOW? It's after 5:30 PM!

Naturally, I hope all went well.

  10. So sorry about your eye, hope you do not need surgery. I know you have done everything your doctor wanted you to do to avoid the surgery.

  12. Finally, I've arrived home!

I was the ophthalmologist's last appointment of the day. He wanted to chat, too -- never mind that the longer I dallied in the office, the worse the rush hour traffic.

    But the news is decent!

Unless there is a flare up of the iritis, which is contained for the moment although still present, he won't lance the stye (chalazion) until August 27, the next appointment date (for both Mr. AOW and me).

There COULD be a flare up because now I'm supposed to decrease the frequency of the prednisolone drops.

    So, it's now a wait-and-see matter.

      Decent news is good.

At my age, that's about as good as it gets!

  14. AOW...I'm praying right now that all goes way better than even the doctor expects! You deserve nothing but the best outcomes.
Also, I'm not going to participate in the blogger contest but I am honored to have been chosen by you and want to say one more thing: I don't know a blogger who's stuck with it more than you have, or done as consistently excellent a job at it, or even has a radio program covering these topics, etc.
YOU DESERVE 'BEST BLOGGER' MORE THAN ANYBODY ELSE!!

    1. Z,
      You are too kind!

I am like a dog with a bone once I take on a task. I worry that task to death! As you know, I've been blogging for 8 years.

But St. Jude, the patron saint of lost causes, comes to mind.
