Solyndra's Toxic Waste

Taxpayers are on the hook for even more of the costs of the failed company that Obama once touted as a model of green energy (hat tip to Reliapundit of THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS for the video below):

  1. The carelessness of the Obama administration knows no bounds! As you said, now We The People are holding the bag. Again.

  2. Hazardous waste, from a green manufacturer...

    Oh, the irony!

  3. I don't think this will prove to be even the tip of the iceberg. The legacy that Obama will leave us with, of financial waste, damage to our environment, corruption of our government, destruction of our way of life, reversal of our gains in racial equality, loss of standing in the world, loss of our coal and oil industry, damage to our relationships with our allies, sellouts to our enemies.....

  5. Toxic government leads to toxic ideas which lead to toxic waste and the taxpayer always gets stuck with the bill-

  6. This is reminiscent of all the other liberal fiascos, where they create the basis for tragedy because they haven't thought something through, pat themselves on the back for a job well done and then head for the hills, completely ignoring the catastrophic outcomes of their deeds or blaming it on the Republicans.

Never fear, somehow Splyndra will turn out to be Bush's fault.

  7. You can't make this stuff up!

Department of Homeland Security launches "green police":

[The] Department of Homeland Security has announced that it is creating “environmental justice” units that will be empowered to oversee regulations in conjunction with local governments throughout the country. The framework for the Environmental Justice Working Group includes eleven federal government agencies, including the TSA, the Secret Service and FEMA....

In its just-released Environmental Justice Strategy document, the DHS says the idea is to “include environmental justice practices in our larger mission efforts involving federal law enforcement and emergency response activities” and to incorporate environmental justice in “securing the homeland.”...

We're heading down the road of further tyranny via bureaucratic regulation.

  8. Old news. BFD. It pales in comparison to the industries Bush allowed to belch poisons into our air and water.

  9. Liberalmann,
I fully realize that there is no point in trying to reason with you. However, I will call your attention to THIS. There is more to "air pollution" than belching factories.

  10. I'm not shocked by anything the Obama administration does, hires, tries to pass off as truth. The money they have wasted, continue to waste, on false "green" companies, committees, czars, etc. is more than I can keep up with. The audacity of Obama is unending

  11. Yeah, thanks for the link to another lying righty site AOW. Real credible. Meanwhile, my point stands. Bush is responsible for massive deregulation of pollution standards.

Amazing the right still needs their Solyndra binky, lol!

  12. Liberalmann,
The author of the post to which I referred you isn't exactly a conservative. In fact, he was a Lefty until 9/11, then moved right on the political spectrum.

GWB's energy policies were mixed and his amendment to the Clean Air Act did not pass Congress.

  13. Yeah, they were, 'mixed.' Lol

  14. I fear you folks are going to be on the hook for at least a few years after obama has left office, and it won't just be the trillions he has wasted in debt.

  15. Liberalmann,
I give you a right wing link, you give me a left wing link.

Right is Right and Left is Left -- and never the twain shall meet. Hence, no useful communication.

  16. And thankfully Obama is putting pollution standards back in place and trying to interest in clean energy.

Bush let the Chinese literally steal whatever edge we had in solar energy. You'd rather Obama give up becasue some companies didn't succeed? Strange priorities, my friend and it's all about finding fault with Obama no matter what.

Bush put us $5.5 trillion in debt. He kept the wars, the tax cuts for the wealthy and Medicaid Part D OFF his budgets. Obama had to increase the debt an additional $1.3 but prevented another depression, saved GM (when the GOP was calling for bankruptcy), showed economic growth every month in office and created more jobs in 2 years than Bush did in eight.

Get the facts before you use your bumper sticker mentality. And turn off Fox News.

  18. Liberalmann,

Yep. It's an election year. Remember your own behavior and words in 2004 when GWB was the incumbent. That's the "risk" of incumbency -- the opposition will indeed find fault, no matter what.

As for the need for green energy, I don't dispute the need. But the way that our government is going about it is too costly and too inefficient.

Citations to prove each of those assertions?

I also note that you chose to ignore the fact as to the lack of any budget under the Obama administration. This is the fourth straight year without a budget. Now, THERE is one way to keep various figures off the budget, huh?
