Politics In America Today

Chilling video below the fold (hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance):

Another excerpt from CEO Steve Wynn HERE at Business Insider, dated July 18, 2011:
[Obama] keeps making speeches about redistribution and maybe we ought to do something to businesses that don't invest, their holding too much money. We haven't heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists. Everybody's afraid of the government and there's no need soft peddling it, it's the truth. It is the truth. And that's true of Democratic businessman and Republican businessman, and I am a Democratic businessman and I support Harry Reid. I support Democrats and Republicans. And I'm telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President of the United States. And until he's gone, everybody's going to be sitting on their thumbs.

Certainly, Obama is not to blame for all our economic woes, nor can he fix our ailing economy. That said, Obama is on record as having proposed the following:

Sure, the above occurred in 2001. But has Barack Hussein Obama changed his basic political and economic philosophy? I submit that he has not! Most recently, his speeches consistently demonize the wealthy, and yesterday he issued this executive order as he blatantly bypasses Congress, which will not pass his jobs bill. He has also voiced support of Occupy Wall Street, a movement that defines itself as follows:
a horizontally organized resistance movement employing the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to restore democracy in America.
Can the American electorate see what's happening?

  1. FDR really got the Positive Rights movement going, and the progressives have run with it.

Invent all of these positive rights, and the government now has a pretext to take from others and spread it around. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

There ain't no endless stash, "free" college requires others to pay, and there is no substitute for hard work.

  2. King or Commie, or both? Obama has ruled through executive order since he came into power, but now it has become blatant.

The economic 'rules' he imposes on the wealthy will of course not extend to the political elite. Welcome to the USSA.

  3. Obama hasn't changed one iota. In response to Steve Wynn, yes we are all going to get the government that you deserve, Mr. Wynn. You supported these statist Democrats with your money for forty years and now your "friend" Harry Reid has hung-up on you. ¡Pobrecito!

  4. Not sure what ¡Pobrecito! means from the comment by CoF.. but I'm in!

  5. Yeah SF, let's not educate the young, they can be dangerous when they learn the truth of how things work. Let only the rich go to college like 80 years ago.

  6. Bunkerville,
"Pobrecito" literally means "poor little thing" and is an expression of sympathy -- or of sarcasm.

  7. No Liberaldude, lets let them work for a college education and actually earn it rather than having it handed to them free on a silver platter. They will respect it a lot more and will perhaps study something other than useless subjects with no hope for employment or earning power.

It called doing it the old fashion way, EARNING IT.

  8. Liberaldude---Do you really think we are educating our young now?

    Are you serious?

The average person graduating from high school could not tell you any substantive about American History, the Constitution, or even who their elected representatives our.

But even more important than factual knowledge there is a lack of critical analysis and basic logic.

  9. There's nothing weird about Obama's political philosophy, except to the 99% of us---he's a Marxist.
