Recommended Reading: Obama's Science Czar

See Obama's Biggest Radical, an essay about Science Czar John Holdren.  The essay was published in February 2009.  Why isn't this information getting out to the American public?  If you read nothing else over the next few days, read this essay.  Mull it over.  Something horrifically nefarious is afoot! Furthermore, the essay explains some of what's behind some of the Obama Administration's policies. Excerpt:
...Holdren is a globalist who has endorsed "surrender of sovereignty" to "a comprehensive Planetary Regime" that would control all the world's resources, direct global redistribution of wealth, oversee the "de-development" of the West, control a World Army and taxation regime, and enforce world population limits....

[...]

Holdren gave a clear indication of his philosophical views in the 1977 book
Ecoscience, which he co-authored with Paul and Anne Ehrlich. [1] In its pages, the authors noted, "The neo-Malthusiasn view proposes...population limitation and redistribution of wealth." They concluded, "On these points, we find ourselves firmly in the neo-Malthusian camp" (p. 954).

Economist Thomas Malthus is one of the most literally anti-human theorists in human history. He viewed overpopulation as the fount of all woe, but one which could be staunched with enough blood. In "An Essay on the Principle of Population" Malthus wrote, "All the children who are born, beyond what would be required to keep up the population to a desired level, must necessarily perish, unless room be made for them by the death of grown persons...if we dread the too frequent visitation of the horrid form of famine, we should sedulously encourage the other forms of destruction, which we compel nature to use...and court the return of the plague." Like their intellectual forebear, Holdren and the Ehrlichs proposed their own acceptable sacrifice to the environment...

  2. As part of a problem solving exercise yesterday, we were asked, "How would you solve world hunger?".
I suggested killing off 80% of the population.
Then I pointed out that it seems that is Holdren's position.
    "Holdren Who?"

    1. Good one, Ed!

Confronting progressives with their own BS and shoving it back in their faces is the only way.

Also, dragging it all out into the light of day so that normal people can see what their true agenda is.

Progressivism is at its core anti-humanity.

A: Because the "American public", at large, isn't interested in, nor would even understand it .

    2. Of course Baysider we may be leaving a period when our technological ability to extract resources was a sustainable strategy and the poor weren't being squeezed by shortages and overpopulation.

      I wonder if Holdren isn't a follower of E. F. Schumacher.
Technological advances inevitably bring dislocation and ours have been so rapid that we are experiencing a very large disruption.

Since you obviously fancy yourself the beneficiary of a great education unlike the lowly leftists I'm sure you have the definitive response.

    5. The point of your post is pointless.

Time marches on. Malthusian misanthropes like you wring your hands over peak oil, overpopulation, global cooling, global warming or whatever the latest leftwing prog bogey man happens to be, but scientific advances continue to elevate society.

Schumacher? Erskine Caldwell said it much better.

  4. Nice to see you publicize this. When the aspects of misanthropy and Malthusian true belief are found mixed together in those who have significant influence at the highest levels of power (such as Obama’s science Czar John Holdren) then our danger from megalomania is no longer far fetched.

Megalomaniacal Malthusian Misanthropes even sounds clownish to me.

Nevertheless it is hard not to see that both Holdren and Zeke Emanuel and their unseen promoters (that is until Jon Gruber, who was merely their main lying enabler, broke his cover) fit such a term quite well.

Given the proles created by our edukation systems, I don’t expect 99% to understand what any of those words mean. And I don't say that with the disdain of a Gruber, but with the resigned sadness of a Jeremiah.

Too bad the symbol M³ doesn't look scary. Maybe a clever artist could make it so.

I know you dropped by my blog a time or two; but I'm unaware that you spotted my coverage of this particular monster. If you've an interest on the connection of Holdren to radical sustainability news stories over the years, try http://pascalfervor.blogspot.com/search?q=holdren

  5. "de-development of overdeveloped countries...should be given top priority" and such nations should "divert their excess productivity into helping the poorer people of the world rather than exploiting them."

Think this derelict is influencing current immigration 'policy'?

Foreign aid has been so discredited, maybe this is the new tack - invite all the "aidees" in and redistribute wealth within the framework of existing and expanding domestic law.

Since the problem springs from foundational attitudes, unless those change, what changes? They just bring their dysfunctional attitudes here (the main impetus behind free public education fostered in the mid-19th century). So now you impoverish everyone except the self-appointed oligarchs?

I know DWS is stupid, but not so stupid as to say the things in the post above, so I wanted to see if it was a parody. The stupidity was mine for being concerned and falling for it.

    4. Not sure who the 'she' is quoted as saying this: "The original Labor Unions, too, were created in order to keep blacks away from well-paying jobs that belonged exclusively to white people." But the fact is not a parody, even if the statement is Onion-esque when attached to DWS. These are the roots of the 19th century labor movement. I've read contextual passages of union leaders of the time quoted at length about it. The move to unionization is always about restricting access to jobs and secondarily results in political patronage.

    5. It's disreputable to put the words in her mouth even if every thought is accurate. So far DWS is not Gruber. Posting this seems too intentional -- likely to be compared to the videos of Gruber and lead to charges of fraudulence.

I know that Taft-Hartley act for instance was indeed passed in great part to keep blacks out of the labor force. And every other word in this parody could be the transcribed words of DWS's actually thoughts. But publishing this as if she actually said them unnecessarily detracts from the fact that the Democratic Party's actions have the full intentions of enslaving first all blacks, and then all other groups who feel left out from getting all those hand-outs.

Speaking of unnecessarily detracting. What has this sub-thread have to do with the topic of Holdren?

Always On Watch: Please consider deleting all these posts and maybe making a whole new thread based on the insertion of this parody. It's effectively trolling away from an explicit misanthropic topic to focus on another but only implicit misanthropic topic

  15. Almost singlehandedly Barack Obama has turned the White House into a Latrine, and the Nation's Capital into a Septic Tank. An evil brown fog envelops all of the District of Columbia. The stench from the raw sewage that now comprises the dark brown waters of the Potomac is enough to gag a maggot. It sickens citizens from as far away as northern New York, western Ohio, and northern Florida, and east Texas. A dual epidemic of Yellow Fever and Ebola is expected to break out as soon as warm weather returns to the blighted area.

The Obamalignancy threatens to metastasize throughout the lower forty-eight. The stricken nation will soon be subject to hospice care.

The United States of America is moribund.
