  1. FROM THE LINKED ARTICLE: "The Obama administration wants to force so-called smart growth policies on the country: get out of your car, stay out of the suburbs, move into small, tightly-packed urban apartment complexes, and walk or take public transportation instead of driving. ..."

In other words we'll now see books and movies with titles like "Mr. Blandings Abandons his Dream House" and "If George Washington Slept Here, You'd be Nuts to Want to Too". What fun!

It will mean a return to the conditions my great grandparents and grandparents worked very hard at menial jobs to escape.

And they say CONSERVATIVES are backward! HAH!

  2. The agenda is alive and well in New Zealand. I had A comment from a blogger there.

  3. THAT explains Tysons. Here in northern VA, there is an area called Tysons Corner, which has a mall, a highway and little else to make it anything (and its split down the center for counties). They're trying to make it a city. But more than that, a no-car zone. There is insufficient parking as is for what little is here, but 10 or so appartement buildings and metro silver line will make driving impossible. But thats the idea. A walmart, doctor, grocery store, Target, and other basics are moving in, to make Tysons not just a city, but a self-contained community. With no cars.
Reading the linky, I was immediately reminded of Tysons. The plan BO has is playing out here, in his backyard. And remember that highways? It's Route 7, a massive one in this area (next only to Route 66). The traffic Tysons already causes makes it nearly unusable. When all this is done, driving in the area will be impossible, or just about.

*Sigh* And the fairness thing they present is alive and well in every home, even conservative ones. I heard the Africa-starves-while-we-feast whine just the other day! As if it is our fault. It is the epitome of punishing the victor for the sake of the loser.

  4. How many Americans have any idea what is being done to them for their own good? Sheep will be sheep.

  5. Earlier this AM I caught a glimpse, on FOX NEWS, of a report stating that carbon emmissions in the US are down, significantly. It is attributed to the use of natural gas. Apparently the "Greenies" aren't impressed as this interferes with their irrational war on the extraction process known as "fracking" and their whacko agenda to replace everything with wind, solar and regressive laws. I hope this report comes on again

  6. Of the many negative thngs about Islam one of them is that it may be defined as a religious
    /political mind control system.
In the ligt of this, Thomas Jefferson had it right when he stated "I have sworn upon the alter of God eternal hositily against every form of tyranny over the mind of mam."

  7. I particularly enjoyed the clip where he asked if we should accept government decisions over the brilliance of our farmers.

Has this idiot ever heard of the Dust Bowl?

Nothing but a whining little Bircher talking about junk science who probably can't solve a partial differential equation, state the Laws of Thermodynamics or state Maxwell's Laws. But he probably knows who Helen Keller is, right AOW?

Come on, this is absolute fringe right tripe.

  8. Wildstar,
The Silver Line is being touted as a solution for getting people to and from Dulles International Airport. Even if one takes a cab to the Silver Line Rail, what does one do with all the luggage typically toted for an international flight?

As for those apartment buildings, just what will the rent be? It must be sky high!

Decades ago, Reston, Virginia was touted as the place one could live, work, recreate, etc.

    No traffic!

    Blah, blah, blah.

As one who lives in Northern Virginia, you know that utopian plan didn't work out at all. The Reston area is a significant contributor to the traffic mess in Northern Virginia.

Bottom line: utopian nutjobs never learn.

    Indeed.

The definition of fairness is a relative term. Another such relative term: social justice.

  10. FT,
In other words we'll now see books and movies with titles like "Mr. Blandings Abandons his Dream House" and "If George Washington Slept Here, You'd be Nuts to Want to Too".

    Hehehe. That's it, all right.

One a more sobering note: It will mean a return to the conditions my great grandparents and grandparents worked very hard at menial jobs to escape.

We peons will be consigned to living in compartments -- in the name of fairness, of course. I use the word compartments because, as I child, that is the word I used to describe apartment buildings.

  11. AOW,

"How Filthy and Toxic Electric Cars Really Are."

GOOD ONE! It just goes to show that those who advocate for this nonsense have no common sense, whatsoever! Not only has the electric car concept failed to evolve much, in over 100 years, but the jerks who promote this are against any viable source of electrical generation to run them. In fact I wish that [they] would hold their breath until wind and solar fulfill this need.

  14. What you are never willing to address is the possibility tat a sustainable economy is necessary to maintain a level of comfort and quality of life yet you say those who want to adopt sustainable measures have their heads in the sand.

    Yet you see no irony.
I don't know what it is about the right but right wing Americans operate from a serious warped sense of entitlement. It's a state of denial and I can't understand what drives it.

  18. I see that both Sam and Jon cannot make sense of Duck's @ March 25, 2013 at 6:07:00 PM. I can't make sense of the comment either.

Agenda 21 states as follows: "Isn't the only hope of the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse?" Which creature comforts are we going to be forced to surrender first?

  19. "right wing Americans operate from a serious warped sense of entitlement. It's a state of denial and I can't understand what drives it."

And you probably never will Ducky. You've been hanging around conservative bloggers for several years now and I guess my question is......Why??

    ReplyDelete
  20. The answer to your question, Average American, is very simple. Ducky wants desperately to be The Center of Attention. One of the easiest, least intelligent, least creative means of achieving that goal is to throw "stink bombs."

He must be constantly giggling with glee at how well his tactics succeed. I've observed this for at least ten years. It started at Front Page Magazine, and has dominated GeeeeeZ and other blogs as well since they started. Whenever Ducky appears, the conversation IMMEDIATELY turns towards telling him what a miserable, irritating, wrong-headed creature he is -- and it STAYS there, because it is SO much easier to express annoyance than it is to make intelligent arguments on any real issue pro or con.

Ducky doesn't want FAVORABLE attention, neither does he want to cultivate sympathy, empathy or understanding. He doesn't want to "convert" you. He only wants you to NOTICE him.

    My advice:

    DON'T OBLIGE HIM!

  21. One of the primary tactics of the left is to DISRUPT, DERAIL and DESTROY rational discourse, and if possible replace it with an atmosphere most closely resembling a BARROOM BRAWL.

Thus sanity is lost, while its opposite gains control.

  22. FT,
an atmosphere most closely resembling a BARROOM BRAWL

For that reason, when Good Friday comes, I'll indulge in three days of posting nothing but music related to this Holy Season.
