Obama's Insufferable Ego

Obama really does love himself and takes every opportunity to promote himself as "The One."
From Red State, citing Commentary Magazine:
Narcissist in Chief Adds Himself to Every Presidential Biography (Except Ford)

The Heritage Foundation’s Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald Reagan’s official biography on www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan’s tax reform advocacy with his “Buffett Rule” gimmick. My first thought was, he must be joking. But he wasn’t—it turns out Obama has added bullet points bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason, Gerald Ford). Here are a few examples:

On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.

In a 1946 letter to the National Urban League, President Truman wrote that the government has “an obligation to see that the civil rights of every citizen are fully and equally protected.” He ended racial segregation in civil service and the armed forces in 1948. Today the Obama administration continues to strive toward upholding the civil rights of its citizens, repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, allowing people of all sexual orientations to serve openly in our armed forces.

President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare signed (sic) into law in 1965—providing millions of elderly healthcare stability. President Obama’s historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, strengthens Medicare, offers eligible seniors a range of preventive services with no cost-sharing, and provides discounts on drugs when in the coverage gap known as the “donut hole.”

On August 14, 1935, President Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act. Today the Obama administration continues to protect seniors and ensure Social Security will be there for future generations.

In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.
Don't miss this additional material, including satiric PhotoShops HERE, at the Washington Free Beacon.

Obama would do well to remember these words from Proverbs:
Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. (Proverbs 27:2)

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)
Of course, if Obama truly has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, as some have opined, he is incapable of humility and modesty.

What will history books be saying about Obama in a few decades? How those future textbooks will read likely depends upon the election results in November.

Party slogan from George Orwell's 1984: "He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future."

  5. It's not surprising that conservatives are ranting and raving about something that never happened...they're so filled with hatred for President Obama that they'll believe anything negative about him without bothering to check the facts.

If you willfully ignorant fools had actually read the biographies on the White House website, you would know that Obama's name isn't mentioned in ANY of them. Each biography is followed by a "Did You Know?" section that lists various facts about each administration and their relevance to the Obama Administration.

Perhaps “anonymous” doesn’t know that an appendix adds to biographical information, and usually appears at the end of the document. In this sense, an appendix becomes part of the biography. So once again, the communists wrongfully assert, “… Obama’s name isn’t mentioned in ANYof them.”

For example, here’s the verbatim appendix from Reagan’s biography:
    • President Reagan designated Martin Luther King Jr. Day a national holiday; today the Obama Administration honors this tradition, with the First and Second Families participating in service projects on this day.
    • In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.

Does this suggest the communists on the left are lying? Not at all; it only suggests they are imbeciles.

  8. one of the most accomplished Presidents in decades!!!?

An accomplished liar, perhaps, and an accomplished saboteur of the economy, among other things.

How about "Accomplished enemy of the Constitution"?

Please, please let's keep this clown down to a single term!

  9. Anonomous- first off, it is common curtasy here to sigh a name if you have no account. Second, an appendence is a part of the artical (and thats a picky picky thing anyways) and thirdly, if it related to this administration why does a) not all of them mention this administartion, and b) why does Clinton's have nothing mentioning Obama or his administartion? It does mention something... from 09 that deals with Clinton and Bush working together. Current events it may deal with, but not nessassarily this administration.

And... that is so egotistical it is to beg belief. I'm sorry, but that is- at least for some- shameless promoting of one's self. And a majority are irrelivant to the actual president listed. Aye carumba, Obama has to be a narcissist... especially because there is no point. I doubt many will see it, and less care that he added himself. It won't sway any votes, it won't make him look better. So whats the point? Ego.

Anndddd of course 1984 control. Witg a generation dependent on the internet, without ability to think, they will buy this and anything else hook, line and sinker and its just getting worse all the time. With less facts being memorized in school, disproving any of this (or anything else the enemedia says) is literally impossible. Now, maybe we are being paranoid... or maybe we are being cautious. I vote the latter as the amount of times paranoia is proved right nowadays (well, when librals scream it...) is uncanny. Besides, better same then sorry...

  10. Obama has always been an advocate of the first person, singular, in all his addresses. His posing as a college professor lends to an overall studied attempt to reflect a degree of arrogance and unearned superiority over those whom he addresses.

I would not be surprised if he has eschewed the use of toilet paper and body deodorant. It is not that he is going "French", but he has undoubtedly has developed a delicious appetite for the smell of his own crap.

  11. What a laugh, Obama is "one of the most accomplished presidents in decades?" Accomplished at what, increasing the debt burden to incredibly new highs? Being hostile to business and job creation? Keeping the price of energy at record highs? Re-electing Obama is like the Titanic backing up and hitting the iceberg again.

  12. Anonymous,
Mustang pointed out much of what I'm about to type in, but I'll say it again -- on the off chance that you can read.

Most certainly, Obama's name is mentioned -- and not only in the context of the words "the Obama administration"!

From this page on the White House web site (Note my emphasis):

In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.

It is apparently YOU who hasn't read the biographies at the White House web site.

    Or, you are an imbecile.

  13. As he pointed out, it's in a box at the bottom. BFD. Notice he has nothing after Bush's bio, LOLOLOLL!

‪Mustang‬ said…"Perhaps “anonymous” doesn’t know that an appendix adds to biographical information, and usually appears at the end of the document."

Wow. Really? So now you're actually arguing about appendices? Lol! And really, talking of one's accomplishments in relation to past Presidents is 'arrogant?' During an election year? Really? Gimme a break.

Reagan tripled the debt (and raised taxes multiple times), Bush doubled it (after beginning office with a record surplus from Clinton- a Demorcat. Obama increased it by less than 50%. He created more jobs in 2 years than Bush did in 8 years. He saved the auto industry (yeah, he's so mean to business, lol) He prevented a depression. (breaed lines with Romney, anyone?)

Hey, AOW...that article about the literary agent finally admitting that she can't talk makes such sense. Remember that Ayers published books every year there for a while..except the 2 years Obama published his :-) Ya, they can't get her to tell the truth but she did mention how "she plucked out Obama for a multi-book deal"..really? A NOBODY? WHY? I've always thought this was in prep for his future...and Soros paid the publishing firm. Who else?
I know something of the publishing business; NOBODY PUBLISHES A NOBODY AND EXPECTS TO SELL.

Did you see those poor libs interviewed on the NYC streets the other night?...they were read passages of Dreams from My Father and just shook their heads saying "REALLY? That's not good...I didn't know that"

That's why we MUST get our media back again, must have them tell the truth. man.

  21. The Obama White House and their followers are living in a bubble of self deception.

Don't they know that by comparing Obama to so many former Presidents that Obama will look small, insignificant and a total failure by the comparison?

Good grief! Obama even makes Jimmy Carter look competent!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Libman: I hate to break it to you, but your statement of "a record surplus from Clinton- a Demorcat. " is entirely false. There was no government surplus during the Clinton Administration. During each and every year of BC's tenure, the US Government borrowed money. By law, the government has to do this if the cash receipts do not meet expenditures.

The so-called surplus was an accounting situation where they counted social security receipts in with the general fund. This has been a bi-partison looting of the social security fund for decades. Even Newt was called on this, recently, when he claimed a surplus during that period.

The beautiful thing about Reagan's financial performance is that his policies brought the economy out of the recessionary/inflationary disaster of the Carter years. Yep, he almost had to kill the economy to do it, but it took a while to correct the Democrat's mistakes.

A large part of Reagan's spending was for defense projects which generate more economic stimulus to the economy than the union and political payoffs the Obama has ignorantly made. Did he increase the deficit? Yep! He also outspent the Soviets and won the cold war. Go figure.

After dealing with the Clinton recession and dot com bubble, G W Bush did the right thing and lowered taxes for everybody. That's how he was able to keep the economy prosperous during his administration, even with the Clinton recession, the 2000 dot com bubble, 9/11, and the war on terror. No other President has been able to deal with more problems, successfully, than G W Bush. Period.

Now, we see Barack Obama throwing away victories in Iraq and Afghanisan, guaranteeing that we will have to re-fight those wars in the next decade. Never has a President snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory like Barak Obama.

The crazy thing is that the Democrat Party goes along with this. What kind of insanity is that?

  23. Oh, this is rich!

From The Bard of Murdock (about Obama's adding his name to the biographies on the White House web site):

    Fiat Lux!

“Let there be light!” declared the Lord.
And so it came to be.
    Much like Obama promised us
    A new transparency.

    “Let there be firmament above!”
And so it came to be.
    Just like Obamacare provides
A shield for you and me.

“Let water gather in its place,
    And earth display its form!”
Just like the way Obama made
    The One Percent reform.

“Let there be lights above the skies
To mark the days and nights!”
Much like the beacon that Barack
    Has shined on civil rights.

"Let creatures swarm amidst the seas,
    And birds above the earth!”
    Just like the new technologies
    To which Barack gave birth.

“Let Adam be, and with him Eve,
    And let them procreate!”
    Just like Obama’s policies
    Expand the welfare state.

The seventh day was set aside
For God and man to rest.
    And contemplate the President
By whom we have been blessed.

I love how you got to put just a whiff of racism in your post but you're sadly mistaken.

Reagan tripled the debt (and raised taxes multiple times and taxed the wealthy at 90%), Bush doubled it (after beginning office with a record surplus from Clinton- a Demorcat. 27. Doubling the debt from $2 to $4 when you are making $100 is irrelevant and sustainable.

So yes Reagan doubled the debt. I will concede the point without even doing the research if you concede the point that the debt was a small percentage of the GDP of the country at that time.

The situation is entirely different today. Today the debt has overtaken our GDP and doubling 10.6 trillion is more difficult that doubling 1 trillion. Obama is giving it a good try having racked up almost 5.6 trillion in under 4 years. He is easily on pace to double the debt in under 7 years....What is the word you liberals like oh yeah context only when it comes to facts and figures you have none. You spout numbers with no meaning.

Our credit rating has gone down because our debt to income ratio is out of balance....This can not be said about the Reagan years.

Any one remember how the liberals clamored like magpies when Bush was overspending by 400-550 billion ayear? We conservatives were concerned to but the total was about half of GDP so we "waffled" and went along.

Odd how now that Obama is spending 1.5 1.7 trillion extra year with no budget everything is hearts, unicorns, flowers and rainbows with the liberals and we are a bunch of lemmings.....

  28. How is it possible that more people have found jobs under Mr. Obamas policies than under President Bush Jr policies and yet the unemployment rate has climbed under Obama? The factors effected rate decrease recently have more to do with manipulation of the numbers and people giving up on finding a job. Survey after survey reveals lower employment numbers for blacks and hispanics. College graduates are hard pressed to find the job they were educated for after college a fact even Obama confirmed at a recent campaign speech (ok it was supposed to be a college graduate sppech but this guy does 2 things--play golf and campaign).

I have no doubt people found work in the last few years, my question is how many did not? There in is the truth about the rising unemployment in America and there you will find the reason for obamas sinking popularity.....

    Its about the economy stupid
