And The Logical Conclusion Is?

(Hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance)

Read "The world's biggest problem? Too many people," an op-ed from the Los Angeles Times on July 21, 2011.

What conclusions do you draw from that essay?

Below the fold, a video for your consideration.

  1. From this post at Maggie's Notebook:

    Agenda 21 and Private Property

“Land…cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth, therefore contributes to social injustice.” From the report from the 1976 UN’s Habitat I Conference.

I suggest the Malthusian left depopulate itself.

  4. I just saw this post over at Bunkerville's site.

    Excerpt:

EPA now giving millions to China, & around the world

Connected with Agenda 21? After all, the EPA is one arm of the enforcement of Agenda 21.

  5. We've had this explanation for years and years, seems the Liberals are doing their best to cut the population via abortion etc.

  6. I'm so glad to finally seeing this Agenda 21 subject getting the attention it deservs. Thanks, AOW. Both the video and the Op-Ed are very disturbing.

  7. Obama and Agenda 21:

President Obama signed his 86th executive order (13575) on June 9, which established the White House Rural Council (WHRC). According to The Blaze, the Executive Order seems to be in line with the United Nations radical Agenda 21, as it is designed “to begin taking control over almost all aspects of the lives of 16 percent of the American people.”

Evidence of this can be found in Section One of the Executive Order, which reads:

Section 1. Policy. Sixteen percent of the American population lives in rural counties. Strong, sustainable rural communities are essential to winning the future and ensuring American competitiveness in the years ahead. These communities supply our food, fiber, and energy, safeguard our natural resources, and are essential in the development of science and innovation. Though rural communities face numerous challenges, they also present enormous economic potential. The Federal Government has an important role to play in order to expand access to the capital necessary for economic growth, promote innovation, improve access to health care and education, and expand outdoor recreational activities on public lands.

As the Executive Order references “sustainable rural communities,”...

  8. I can't believe Agenda 21 is finally getting known; would that FOX, at least, would discuss it, but it would be all "That's ridiculous, what are those stupid COnservatives THINKING?" right?
And, the really hilarious thing is the group which is fighting this the hardest is from VERY VERY VERY liberal Santa Cruz, California :-)

    Did you see this?
"Consider the words of the man Comrade Obama hired as his top adviser on science and technology, John P. Holdren:

“A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to DE-DEVELOP the United States. . . . Resources and energy must be diverted from frivolous and wasteful uses in overdeveloped countries to filling the genuine needs of underdeveloped countries. This effort must be largely political.”

Guess who that "De developed country" will be.

There's so much more..thank God for Conservative bloggers getting information other Americans just are NOT GETTING>

  9. Z,
I'm late to my recognition of the existence of Agenda 21.

Oh, sure, I had heard about the New World Order. But I just didn't know about the details of Agenda 21.

Santa Cruz? Are you kidding me?

  10. There has been a significant minority of the Green Movment that for years has promoted the idea of reducing the earth's population down to 500 million or less. Earth First is a premier example and they routinely call humans things like "parasites" and "the AIDS of the planet."

Pick some Nazi tenants or propaganda. Change out words like "Jews" "Aryans" and "living space" and other racial purity crap. Replace it with words like "green" "saving the planet" etc. It all ends up in the same place - get rid of the useless eaters, get rid of the undesirables, and WE THE ELITE determine who those people are.

There's George Soros money in them that groups.

  11. I have to wonder if Agenda 21 and this like are behind ever-tightening local regulations that control how we may and may not use our private real estate.

The zoning code keeps getting more and more convoluted, and a lot of those regulations are "for the environment."

  12. Too many humans? Naah...too many Ehrlichs with too much time on their hands, far as I'm concerned.

And even though it may not be considered a 'Christian' response, when people like this tell me we need to cut back on the surplus population, my response is usually, 'You first.'

  13. This is it isn't it?

But as the political right whittles away at family planning clinics across the nation,

Family planning clinics = leftese for abortion mill.

I have always said that if people on the left insist on there being fewer people in the world, check out. Ease the burden on the planet. I won't miss them.

  14. Thanks AOW, for shedding light on the existence of Agenda 21. Yesterday I read a discussion about the fact that blogs on Agenda 21 are getting read much. Maybe people just aren't interested.

I don't think that's it. I think it is so overwhelming, and so insidious at this point, that we can't figure out what to do about.

The mission creep has entered so many medium-sized communities, like mine. I will talk to the person in charge here in Tulsa, but I can tell you, he likely doesn't know the history - only sees the government grant coming in as a good opportunity.

We are way late on Agenda 21. Maybe we can stop it. Probably not. Tea Parties are a good avenue for educating on Agenda 21 because they have connections inside city hall.

  15. I keep suggesting that the lefties lead by example. For some reason, they fail to do that.

  16. Msggie,
It's complicated and convoluted. I've only begun to scratch the surface of Agenda 21.

At first, I said to myself, "Oh, come on! This can't be true. Don't be a conspiracy nut."

But Agenda 21 DOES exist and is being implemented.

We are way late on Agenda 21. Maybe we can stop it. Probably not.

    Agreed.

So, what do we do? Just say, "That's all, folks," and live out our lives the best that we can?

  17. I'm all for it ... there are too many libs.

  18. It was all very new to me, too, until I was sent Maggie's blog and another link.
    And yes, SANTA CRUZ, imagine?
I believe Maggie's right when she suggests this is overwhelming to most of us. We simply don't know what to do.
Will the Tea Party have the guts to expose it? It's not new, apparently..where've they been?
I never ever thought I'd see Americans become sheeple, but after the indoctrination of our schools, voila.

  19. I believe that the John Birch Society used to talk about the New World Order.

But, of course, the JBS was discredited.

  20. The Watcher,
when people like this tell me we need to cut back on the surplus population, my response is usually, 'You first.'

Of course, these loons always want OTHER people to depart the plant -- not themselves, the wise ones. [sarcasm]

  21. Z,
Why Santa Cruz? Something going on there that awakened people?

  22. Alligator,
When I was in college (1968-1972), we heard a lot in biology class about how population growth was killing the planet. We were required to read a book called The Population Bomb by Paul E. Ehrlich. You can check him out at Wikipedia. Note his spouse's name and the by line in the article I linked in the body of the post.

  23. When I was in college, our biology professor got us, the students in her classes, all fired up about sending birth control to India. We were going to save the world!

    1970 -- spring semester

Yeah, I fell for the bleeding heart line.

We donated money, and the IUD's were sent.

Once the women realized that the IUD's prevented pregnancy, the women ripped them out the contraceptive devices.

So much for helping Third World women to take better charge of their lives!

Yet, in the essay linked in the body of the post mentions making sure that these women in the Third World have access to contraceptives. But if the women don't want the contraceptives, the entire effort goes for naught.

  24. I'm not into conspiracies and such, from what i've seen most of these organizations couldn't keep a damn thing secret, let alone grand plans for a new world order. And even if they did, good luck with that one world government nonsense.

Mind you i certainly believe that at the heart of these environmental groups is a deep-seated dislike, even hatred, of human life. As for the not-as extreme liberals, they might not hate human life, but they share a common dislike of it with their green masters.

  25. lol! The problem is "Too many people?" Are they sure it's just "Not Enough Capitalism?" Given the choice between kids and money. it would appear that $$$$ wins the contest, hands down!

  26. MK,
I don't believe that Agenda 21 falls into the conspiracy theory category. From what I've been researching, it does exist -- no secret about it, apparently.

Now, I realize that the video comes across that way with some of the references therein. I posted the video because it provides a kind of introduction to the tentacles of the the push by the United Nations and environmentalists.

I'll also mention Hillary Clinton's book It Takes a Village to Raise a Child. Ever read it?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm only home for lunch so I don't have time to watch the entire video.

However, When you can fit every man woman and child in the world in a space the size of Texas, I sincerely doubt there is too many people in the world.

More likely, there are too many environMENTALists.

  28. You're, AOW, Agenda 21 is very real and has been on-going since 1976. Back in 2005, I wrote a post just after the Kelo decision that comported perfectly with A21's aim to confiscate all private land transforming all real estate to public/gov't property. The post of July 6,'05 was about the UN A21 Rome conference that in essence would put all nutritional supplements under international gov't control on a bid to outlaw their manufacture and use.
