I cannot see a path of relief for this country without the removal of this administration, soon. If 2022 doesn't change Congress enough to mandate an impeachment, we can only hope for a Tunguska event over D.C.
Ed, as of now, the removal of Harris would give you Nancy Pelosi.
While your grounds for impeachment (until I suppose, lands you someone more favorable to your brand of politics) is unclear, we have another process for office holders called elections,
The impeachment of Johnson pretty much concluded you can’t remove a duly elected president simply because of political ideologies or merely because you don’t like him. If 2022 doesn’t change Congress enough to invent these charges of impeachment you desire, perhaps we need to respect the will of the people (just as they should respect that now).
If we could impeach Biden and Harris, the assumption is that we have the House to do that. That being the case, the Republican speaker would be president.
Ed, you’d also need 2/3 of the senate to remove. Ain’t gonna happen my friend.
You may not believe that but considering you believe in the Big Lie, a lie that Trump informed his basket of gullibles his entire term that he’d use in the event he lost, doesn’t exactly give a great deal of credence to your beliefs.
The poll is an outlier. Todd is trying to make NBC "relevant" again by being "the first" to push the 2022 election panic button and thereby draw more progressive clicks and eyeballs.
I do think Biden and the Democrats are in deep doo on many fronts. However, people leaping to the conclusion that 2022 will be a bloodbath for Democrats are being premature. One year in politics is an eternity. Lord knows what could happen between now and then
Aside from not knowing any specifics of the bill rewarding organized teachers, there is a section that allows the NLRB to fine employers up to $50,000 for each “unfair labor practice,” and up to $100,000 in cases where a worker was illegally fired. Theses fines are a small part of paying for the bill.
The legislation is packed with a lot of such labor friendly provisions. They will certainly raise eyebrows of the working class in a positive way. How much or if enough to deter midterm election damage is yet to be seen.
FJ, well, I really don’t know what the Brandon you’re talking about when it comes to this $100k bonus that doesn’t or wouldn’t go to cops or firefighters to begin with but then again, much of this thread is obviously of satire above the scope of my interpretation of reasonable dialogue anyway.
Now as far as the NYPD or FDNY or Amazon (who is people too) or et al who prefer to thump their noses at the laws of the land for profiteering purposes and then cry about it hitting them in the purse, well, Brandon them too.

Is there a specific legislation, Executive Order, or policy that brings you to that conclusion?

ReplyDeleteIf 2022 doesn't change Congress enough to mandate an impeachment, we can only hope for a Tunguska event over D.C.
An impeachment, however, leaves us with Kamala Harris. In my opinion that might be, in some ways, worse.
DeleteThen we impeach her.

And that would be the will of the people.
DeleteNot the result of a stolen election.

Chuck Todd Debuts ‘Shocking’ New NBC Poll Showing 71 PERCENT Believe US is on Wrong Track: ‘Scary News’ for Democrats

DeleteI don't put too much stock in pulling. The ones I rely on the most are the real clear politics averages

DeleteI agree. The Dem's are counting on a bump from "$1.75t reconciliation" pay-offs to their allies.

DeleteZuck's onboard. #META: Make EVERYTHING Trump Again!
DeleteFJ, in total, the 2 bills pending will be around $3 trillion and it’s full of goodies for the working class. It will be a huge win.
DeleteHuge enough to keep either or both chambers? Those political winds are indeed shifty.
Goodies for the privileged Teacher's Unions are not goodies for the working class.

Now think of all those unvaccinated NYPD/FDNY cops/firefighters about to get an NLRB "$100k bonus" courtesy of Joe Biden.
DeleteCan the NYPD/FDNY afford the fines? LOL!

Let's see... 23,000 x $100k... there goes $2.3b of that $1.75t spending boondoggle from sheer stupidity right off the bat.
DeleteImagine if all 6,000,000 unvaxxed workers get the Biden NLRB bonus.... $6oob of that $1.75t goes *poof*!
DeleteFJ,
DeleteImagine if all 6,000,000 unvaxxed workers get the Biden NLRB bonus.
But just who will make the decision to give me all that money? Dem appointees?
Is imagination a critical component of alternate facts?

@AoW- I suspect SCotUS will be ruling on it in a few years despite the best efforts of an assortment of Democratic judges. :)
DeleteFJ,
DeleteI hope you're right.
But there is SCOTUS precedent for forced vaccines -- small pox, specifically.

DeleteI have come to the same conclusion. Humor is the only way to even cover this debacle.
