The scope of the Hillary Clinton email investigation was so private, the OIG didn't have the security clearances needed to view the emails.
And, the emails couldn't be given to Congress.
Just wow.

I'd comment on this, but you don't have the clearances to read my comments.

DeleteGood one!
It's like a global crime syndicate, only bigger, more powerful and more lethal.
ReplyDeleteGovernment has become nothing more than Organized Crime sanctiond, aided and abetted by LAW.
DeleteTAXATION is LEGALIZED THEFT.
Delete"In general the art of government consists of taking as much money as possible from one class of citizens to give to the other."
~ Voltaire (1694-1778)
Franco,
DeleteGovernment has become nothing more than Organized Crime sanctiond, aided and abetted by LAW.
I agree.
And our Founders tried to prevent this kind of thing.
**sigh**
...but Hillary didn't have ulterior motives when she disclosed all this info in a public forum... so it's okay.
DeleteMuch has been made of Hillahog Klintoon's ILLEGAL server's location in a BATHROOM.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm here to tell you that a BATHROOM is THE perfect place for ANYTHING associated with HILLAHOG.
SHE –– and everyone and everything ASSOCIATED with her –– is EXCREMENTAL –– STINKS to HIGH HEAVEN, and is in desperate need of being FLUSHED asap.
Do we REALLY need to say anything MORE on this dreary, tired, worn out subject?
Thanks to the blessed, heaven-sent phenomenon known as DONALD J. TRUMP wretched HILLAHOG has been relegated to the status of a VERY STALE, STILL UNBELIEVABLY PUTRID, OLD FART.
THREE CHEERS for PRESIDENT TRUMP and the CITIZENS WHO SAW the LIGHT and ELECTED HIM!
NOW, unless and until someone of the caliber of a Devin Nunes, Jason Chaffetz, Jim Jordan, Mark Meadows, and Matt Gaetz, –– or any combination thereof ––, engages in EXTRA-LEGAL VIGILANTE ACTIVITY, mounts a de facto COMMANDO RAID –– an out-and-out PHYSICAL ATTACK on the vicious, unelected, thoroughly corrupt Power Bloc holding our country in thrall and literally WRESTS the documents needed to PROVE the Bloc's culpability "from hteir cold dead hands" if necessary ––, we wll NEVER be able to defeat the VILLAINS who have craftily taken over the Reins of Power by STEALTH and endless DECEIT.
In other words by FLOUTING the LAW based on the CONSITUTION, this CABAL–– a true "Enemy Within" –– no longer deserves Constitutional Protection.
DeleteThey are guilty of TREASON –– nothing more, nothing less –– and as such should be rights be subjected to the same grisly fate as Nicolai and Elena Ceausescu –– the sort of thing that happened (UNJUSTLY!) to King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette of France, –– to Czar Nicolas and his wife the Czarina Alexandra of Russia, and their four children.
When the Guardians of Law and Justice, THEMSELVES, flout the law, and FAIL to deliver honest JUSTICE, they MUST be DEPOSED –– by Main Force, if necessary.
Anyone who does not beieve that richly deserves to be reduced to penury ad bondage –– the inevitable consequence of NOT rising up to DEFEAT TYRANNY.
Please Franco, don't hold back and tell us what you really think of the smartest woman in the history of the world!
DeleteSpeechless here....cannot name the agency who refuses to release? Now we have the Deeper Deep State....
ReplyDeleteBunkerville,
DeleteLots of deep tentacles.
Why is an old public record Jason Chaffetz hit piece of such sudden interest?
ReplyDeleteSeems an attempt to drum up hysteria about the so called "deep state" in advance of the release of Mueller's report.
Duck,
DeleteSeems an attempt to drum up hysteria about the so called "deep state" in advance of the release of Mueller's report.
Nope!
Just taking a look back at something that didn't come out very much at the time.
Facts are very inconvenient things, huh?
“Deep State”, like political correctness, is a perfect, ready made reason for what ails you. Just break glass. No definition or metrics needed.
Delete@ ducky,
DeleteSomewhat o/t - but related...
As an "art" aficionado, I was wondering if you believe that what applies to Government (current deep state) also relates to art trends...as Government increasingly seems to appear to be a largely formal "academic" exercise, has it also become "kitsch" in the sense of Clement Greenberg's 1939 essay, influenced largely by our "economic/market" based economy?
Has it become an ersatz Government?
DeleteKitsch, using for raw material the debased and academicized simulacra of genuine culture, welcomes and cultivates this insensibility. It is the source of its profits. Kitsch is mechanical and operates by formulas. Kitsch is vicarious experience and faked sensations. Kitsch changes according to style, but remains always the same. Kitsch is the epitome of all that is spurious in the life of our times. Kitsch pretends to demand nothing of its customers except their money-not even their time.
DeleteThe precondition for kitsch, a condition without which kitsch would be impossible, is the availability close at hand of a fully matured cultural tradition, whose discoveries, acquisitions, and perfected self-consciousness kitsch can take advantage of for its own ends. It borrows from it devices, tricks, stratagems, rules of thumb, themes, converts them into a system, and discards the rest. It draws its life blood, so to speak, from this reservoir of accumulated experience. This is what is really meant when it is said that the popular art and literature of today were once the daring, esoteric art and literature of yesterday. Of course, no such thing is true. What is meant is that when enough time has elapsed the new is looted for new "twists," which are then watered down and served up as kitsch. all kitsch is academic; and conversely, all that's academic is kitsch. For what is called the academic as such no longer has an independent existence, but has become the stuffed-shirt "front" for kitsch. The methods of industrialism displace the handicrafts.
Because it can be turned out mechanically, kitsch has become an integral part of our productive system in a way in which true culture could never be, except accidentally. It has been capitalized at a tremendous investment which must show commensurate returns; it is compelled to extend as well as to keep its markets. While it is essentially its own salesman, a great sales apparatus has nevertheless been created for it, which brings pressure to bear on every member of society. Traps are laid even in those areas, so to speak, that are the preserves of genuine culture. It is not enough today, in a country like ours, to have an inclination towards the latter; one must have a true passion for it that will give him the power to resist the faked article that surrounds and presses in on him from the moment he is old enough to look at the funny papers. Kitsch is deceptive. It has many different levels, and some of them are high enough to be dangerous to the naive seeker of true light. A magazine like The New Yorker, which is fundamentally high-class kitsch for the luxury trade, converts and waters down a great deal of avant-garde material for its own uses. Nor is every single item of kitsch altogether worthless. Now and then it produces something of merit, something that has an authentic folk flavor; and these accidental and isolated instances have fooled people who should know better.
McNamara's quantification of the Vietnam War, reduction to "body counts" (System's Management techniques), is an indication of academic reductionism of Government to formulaic "kitsch".
DeleteIt's been said of certain South American governments that they are organized crime syndicates with an airlines. We don't even have an airlines! But the OCS label fits here.
ReplyDeleteIt would be difficult to deny the existence of a so-called deep state if one understands the innerworkings of government, particularly among the intelligence services, where compartmentalization of information and its sources is a key component of “keeping secrets.” I do not subscribe to the notion that our government must be completely transparent. I’m not even sure where this idea came from, since from the very beginning, there are certain matters that government officials must keep close to the vest. If it is true that the national security apparatus regularly conspires to deny Americans their fundamental (and Constitutional) rights, then I would have to argue that there is a clear and obvious reason for our concern (e.g., data mining and then denying that it is even happening), but given the “deep state,” how would anyone know were it not for those who release classified information to the public?
ReplyDeleteThere may also be more than one “deep state” operation, and we also cannot know of this until it is intentionally revealed. We did not know that certain individuals within the FBI were conspiring against the American voter by trying to sabotage the presidency of Donald Trump (he was, after all, lawfully elected) until one or more of the morons began sharing this information on Twitter.
We might therefore conclude that the deep state does exist, reasonably and lawfully, at one level (national security), and unlawfully at another (the FBI/DOJ clown show), which is why we have congressional oversight. Now, if only congress would behave as an honest broker, we could all go back to our nap. Since that isn’t likely to happen, we’ll continue to wonder about the government “of, by, and for” the people and, I hope, continue to have these conversations.
For where and how a “deep state” exists, you forgot a crucial layer......the political party apparatus itself, which also conspires to deny us our natural and Constitutional rights & liberties. This exists in both major parties and at all levels of government - sometimes coordinated, sometimes decentralized. It’s no less a stain on our Republic than what may exist in the bureaucratic machinery of State.
DeleteAt the root of all of it we have an ignoranticized, infantilized, loutish, hoydenish, lazy, selfish, irresponsible electorate with a bloated sense of "entitlement," no knowledge of history, no sound moral education, and no breadth of "vision" whose minds have, apparently, been allowed to lay fallow from birth.
DeleteIf you doubt this disnmal evaluation, please just tune in to C-Span's Washington Journal at 7:00 AM EST where it's shamelessly on display for three sold hours seven mornings each week.
Ergo, we now have a government OF the morons, BY the morons and FOR the morons –– and those scheming geniuses who know how to exploit and oppress them.
Can’t argue with that - we deserve the government......and the oppression, that we get.
DeleteSo how does one gain appointment to this Nocturnal Council?
Delete" ... how does one gain appointment to this Nocturnal Council?"
DeleteBy increasing the frequency and enhancing the quality of one's NOCTURNAL EMISSIONS, of course, what else?
];^}>
Yes, CI, I suppose that collectivly we do deserve what we are getting, but i would still insist "we" have been Led down the Garden Path by devlishly clever sophists who have always had our ultimate destruction as their primary goal.
DeleteOnce upon a time and not so very long ago the I can't remember it "we" –– in the main –– were relatively innocent, guileless and straightforward.
Unfortunately, that kind of innocence made it all too easy for "us" to fall prey to charlatans, merchants of sin, and "pied pipers" promising to lead us to one form or another of "heaven on earth."
From Snake Oil Salesmen, Saloons and the lure of Booze, Whores and Hot Baths, to Swindlers Selling Deeds to Land They Did Not Own, to Salted Mines, and the Gold Rush, which brought Unparalleled Prosperity to a Few, and Untold Misery to Many, then the Machine Age wth its attendant evils, then Unionism followed by outright Marxism –– all things appearing to promise more comfort, convenience, efficiency, prosperity, greater leisure, blah blah blah, but which in many ways BACKFIRED and made life drearier and more challenging than ever.
I have cime to believe our biggest alaw as a species may well be the ever-present desire to find an EASIER way –– and to wreak VENGEANCE on those whose lives appear to be better than our own.
Tha's really what Marxism is at root –– a justification for ENVY-INSPIRED MALICE and WIDESPREAD DESTRUCTION.
My generation may have been the very last to be made well aware of all that in our homes, schools and churches.
SO the question then becomes "Are unwitting victims of Mass Hypnosis fully responsible for their woeful ignorance and the poor judgment they exercise?"
It's a troubling question.
Though thy had newspapers, and pamphleteeers, I wonder if the Founders coul\d possibly have been aware of the tremendous potential power a technologically sophisticated means of Mass Communication could produce?
After all, I think it safe to say the vast majority are by nature FOLLOWERS not LEADERS.
Sure, most people are lemmings...without a doubt. True leaders, those with integrity and intellectual curiosity....those with the temerity to question their own biases and preconceived notions.....are a rare and dying breed.
Delete'We' collectively, keep electing charlatans and snake oil salesmen....while telling ourselves we're fighting against the same.
“... but I would still insist ‘we’ have been led down the garden path by devilishly clever sophists who have always had our ultimate destruction as their primary goal.”
DeleteIt sounds to me as if you are trying to shift blame on the snake-oil-salesman rather than the fools who readily step up with a dollar to purchase it.
Fake Hate, Fake Collusion: All in the Name of Destroying the Trump Presidency
ReplyDeleteAmerican Thinker
by Trevor Thomas
In more ways than one, hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollet is far from alone. He´s simply the latest in a long line of unhinged leftists with evil intent bent on destroying Donald Trump´s presidency. Be it fake hate or fake collusion, for nearly three years now, Donald Trump has been the target of an unprecedented campaign meant to end his candidacy and his presidency. After the recent revelations of former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe, there should now be no doubt as to the existence of a nefarious "Deep State."
As revealed by McCabe himself in his soon to be published ...
Hi AOW. Good to see you still fighting. Miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteYour old pal,
~Godefroi
Godefroi!
DeleteHow have you been?
Yes, I'm still fighting. It's not in me to surrender.
