1) Montage: Watch the Media Uncritically Accept Another Outlandish ‘Hate Crime’
2) Pelosi Deletes Sympathetic Tweet For Jussie Smollett
From Here Are All The Politicians Who Rushed To Judgment On The Smollett ‘Hate Crime’:

Waters blamed the attack on President Donald Trump....
Oh, the hysteria to jump in and support politically-correct protected groups!
Below the fold, the interview in which actor Jussie Smollett lashed out against those who doubted his story:
Democrats: Inventing the hate crimes real Americans just won't do.

DeleteIn October 2008, Ashley Todd, a volunteer for the U.S. presidential campaign of Republican John McCain, falsely claimed to have been the victim of robbery and politically motivated physical assault by a supporter of McCain's Democratic opponent Barack Obama.
DeleteDid Ashley claim the attack was a HATE crime because she was a white woman, and black men HATE white women?
...cuz that's the Smollett narrative the MSM is peddling. Trump supporters just looking to bash brown/ gay/ trans wannabe people.
DeleteThe point is obvious. False narrative has been a fact of life for some time.
DeleteThe right wingers don't want to take responsibility for their part in the cheapening of the national narrative and it has been considerable.
Smollett dreams up an asinine story and some jump on it just as they've jumped on false claims of black perps in the past. The upside her is that the accusation is proven false. The downside is it diminishes the perceive seriousness of real hate assaults like the one against gays in Austin a little while back.
It also takes the light off fakes like Project Veritas. There are still idiots who believe Hillary ran a child sex ring out of a D.C. pizza joint. Vince Foster, the right has it perfected and it percolates to manufactured hysteria lik the "border crisis"(LMAO).
Take the freakin' beam out of your own eye.
The real question is, why did Ashley/Jussie feel the need to fabricate a crime?
DeleteIn Jussie's case, it was because such crimes are rarer than unicorns and there weren't any crimes being committed. In Ashley's case, there were so many that it would be easily accepted.

DeleteI believe the tactic stemmed from the old shibboleth "TALK Briddish, but THINK Yiddish."
The rumors are that Pamela Harris... who this fine fellow campaigned for and with.. was putting up a bill to make lynching a hate crime. His first try at a hate crime didn't make news, so he upped the ante for Pam. I am sure I am just rumor making here... tin foil out...

Jussie Smollett rehearsed the "attack" against him days before the incident and it was all staged for the camera, this according to what the 2 brothers told cops

I see another BEER SUMMIT on the horizon, God forbid, because Obama's rush to judgment, in my opinion, started the return to racial strife he supposedly abhors, but which serves him so well.
ReplyDeleteWho'll be at this new SUMMIT? Booker, Kamala and Jussie....one big group "I'm so sorry!" hug.........Meanwhile, if it's true that Jussie, Black and gay, was lying, he's set back human rights and will hopefully go to jail.

ReplyDeleteNew Poll: Majority of Voters Want a Special Prosecutor to Investigate Attempted Coup Against Trump
Townhall
by Katie Pavlich
Earlier this week fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who served as acting director after James Comey and was fired in May 2017, made headlines when he alleged meetings took place at the Department of Justice about ousting President Trump from office. (Tweet)Now according to a new Rasmussen Report, the majority of voters believe crimes were likely committed by DOJ and FBI officials and they want a special prosecutor to investigate. Most voters say top Justice Department and FBI officials are likely to have acted criminally when they secretly discussed removing President Trump from office and think a special prosecutor is ...
Now McCabe is saying bipartisan members of Congress knew about this attempt to get Trump out early....what Republicans are going to fall? Of course, this makes it less damning on the Left, so I'm thinking no Republicans will be finally implicated and it was all a 'good try, Andrew.' (Katie Pavlich is my hero!)
DeleteThere ws a conversation about the legal invocation of an amendment.
DeleteHow is that damning?
One might imagine that if anyone understands the 25th Amendment, it would be the Attorney General and his executive staff. Its provisions do seem quite simple ... or at least simple enough for a leftist to understand them. The president of the United States may be removed from office when impeached by the House of Representatives and when convicted in the US Senate. Beyond this, a president may remove himself from office voluntarily through temporary or permanent resignation, in writing. The Vice President may, with the concurrence of a majority of the cabinet, declare the president in writing as “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.” Two such declarations are required with a separation of four days and, within 21 days, the Congress must determine with a 2/3 majority, that the president is incapacitated. Failing any of these provisions, the president automatically reassumes his office. Given this information, what did the cabal inside the FBI and DOJ think they were doing?

Every society has had storytellers. Our problem is, our storytellers are hysterical loonies, and that mostly explains why our society increasingly resembles a mouthful of rotten teeth.
Ban the poets!
DeleteAristophanes, "The Birds"
DeleteA POET Oh, Muse! celebrate happy Nephelococcygia in your hymns.
PISTHETAERUS What have we here? Where did you come from, tell me? Who are you?
POET I am he whose language is sweeter than honey, the zealous slave of the Muses, as Homer has it.
PISTHETAERUS You a slave! and yet you wear your hair long?
POET No, but the fact is all we poets are the assiduous slaves of the Muses, according to Homer.
PISTHETAERUS In truth your little cloak is quite holy too through zeal! But, poet, what ill wind drove you here?
POET I have composed verses in honour of your Nephelococcygia, a host of splendid dithyrambs and parthenians(1) worthy of Simonides himself.
f(1) Verses sung by maidens.
PISTHETAERUS And when did you compose them? How long since?
POET Oh! 'tis long, aye, very long, that I have sung in honour of this city.
PISTHETAERUS But I am only celebrating its foundation with this sacrifice;(1) I have only just named it, as is done with little babies.
f(1) This ceremony took place on the tenth day after birth, and may be styled the pagan baptism.
POET "Just as the chargers fly with the speed of the wind, so does the voice of the Muses take its flight. Oh! thou noble founder of the town of Aetna,(1) thou, whose name recalls the holy sacrifices,(2) make us such gift as thy generous heart shall suggest."
f(1) Hiero, tyrant of Syracuse.—This passage is borrowed from Pindar.
f(2) (Hiero) in Greek means 'sacrifice.'
PISTHETAERUS He will drive us silly if we do not get rid of him by some present. Here! you, who have a fur as well as your tunic, take it off and give it to this clever poet. Come, take this fur; you look to me to be shivering with cold.
POET My Muse will gladly accept this gift; but engrave these verses of Pindar's on your mind.
PISTHETAERUS Oh! what a pest! 'Tis impossible then to be rid of him!
POET "Straton wanders among the Scythian nomads, but has no linen garment. He is sad at only wearing an animal's pelt and no tunic." Do you conceive my bent?
PISTHETAERUS I understand that you want me to offer you a tunic. Hi! you (TO EUELPIDES), take off yours; we must help the poet.... Come, you, take it and begone.
POET I am going, and these are the verses that I address to this city: "Phoebus of the golden throne, celebrate this shivery, freezing city; I have travelled through fruitful and snow-covered plains. Tralala! Tralala!"(1)
f(1) A parody of poetic pathos, not to say bathos.
PISTHETAERUS What are you chanting us about frosts? Thanks to the tunic, you no longer fear them. Ah! by Zeus! I could not have believed this cursed fellow could so soon have learnt the way to our city. Come, priest, take the lustral water and circle the altar.
PRIEST Let all keep silence!
Ah, the 60's
Delete60's? You've got the right candidate for the decade.

ReplyDeleteSmollett is nothing more than a spoiled brat with the mentality of a 4 year old. He got spoiled during the time when he and his family were cast into an ABC comedy where almost everyone on the cast was related to him. I forget the name of the comedy series that ran in the 90s, but one of the non related cast members was T'keyah Crystal Kehmah. All the rest were from the Smollett family (a bunch of spoiled brats). And now, Jussie (who probably got boinked by Harvey Weinerstein or one of his bed buddies) pulls off a deranged publicity stunt. Maybe he wants to get poked from behind by Tiny, Momo and Big Bubba in the monkey cage. Absolutely disgusting!
ReplyDeleteMMSC,
Deletea deranged publicity stunt
It sure looks like that.
As far as I last heard, he's now avoiding talking to the police again.
Next up? He signs himself into a mental health facility?
One form of justice in the Jussie Smollett case:
ReplyDeleteJussie Smollett Cut From ‘Empire’ Episodes....
If this indeed turns out to be a hoax, Smollett and his chorus of leftwing enablers need to publicly apologize to President Trump's supporters.
ReplyDeleteThis was nothing less than a slanderous smear against a group of people.
Additionally, they all need to apologize to the American people. Stunts like this damage our already fragile social cohesion.
I wouldn't hold my breath if i were you, Silver.
DeleteSolid article on Smollett hoax
ReplyDeleteJohn McWhorter!
DeleteI like his term: “victimhood chic.”
Addendum: I shall make time to read the essay.
DeleteI love McWhorter. His writing is always interesting, intelligent and relevant, and he knows how to focus in on the crux of the matter.
DeleteWe are a good nation of good people. The number of ugly hate incidents is statistically infinitesimal. Victimhood peddlers need more.
Looking at statistics on poverty, crime, education and employment, I'll go out on a limb and say violence--or even active prejudice--by white racists doesn't even crack the Top 10 threats to minorities of color.
Juicy really goofed up.
ReplyDeleteAll he had to do was be a luvvie activist and rake in the rainbow socialist millions. But no, Juicy wanted more, much more, and now he's in trouble.
Let's see what's on the phone phone records. Kamala Harris, Spartacus, the Great O himself? Or maybe just Juicy telling his body building, ahem, friends to buy MAGA hat bleach noose lynching props?
It's now offical the LYING, little CREEP, Jussie Smollett has finally been arrested over his phony hate crime claim.
ReplyDeleteHe was accused of faking an attack, filing a FALSE Police Report, among other changes.
It's time to make an example of this political race baiter that tried to inflame racial and political tensions to further his own career. This is a man who should do jail time and never work in Hollywood again. What he did is disgusting.
But the bigger story here is that once again, we see these liberal Politicians, Hollywood Celebrities, and worse, the Fake News Media suckered in by fake stories .. This only goo to show what just a bunch of suckers the media is, and how they buy into EVERY story as long as its Anti Trump. We saw it in the Judge Kavanaugh case, ..on Russia....on the Covington Kids, and now on lying Smollett
So... in the name of "social justice" and in light of the Smollett arrest, the New York Times has reached back 3 weeks in the news cycle to a February 2, 2019 Politico article to resurrect a new scary right winger to justify Left wing/Smollett's fear... USCG Lt. Christopher Paul Hasson a white nationalist "prepper" who had been arrested with a Left-wing "hit list". The following day, the Dallas News, Daily Beast, BBC, Washington Post, NBC News, Slate, & Heavy.com file news stories on a story covered 3 weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteStill don't think that the Left has a narrative/ agenda?
Check out the dates associated with the references...
DeleteI have to ask myself, how does a 3 week old story suddenly become hyped BREAKING NEWS on CNN?
DeleteJoe,
DeleteGood catch about the Hasson story being three weeks old.
FNC has been reporting on it, too -- today as "breaking news." Sheesh.
On February 20, the President Tweeted that the NY Times reporting was false and that they were the true enemy of the people. On February 21, the Times responds by picking up a three week old Politico story to claim that the president's rhetoric is placing them (and Leftists like Smollett) in danger.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, with the NY Times under attack, every other Left leaning journo has to start parroting the Times...
...and THAT is how a stale story become "BREAKING NEWS" on CNN.
Does the Left ever worry that THEIR rhetoric is stoking anti-Republican and MAGA Hatter attacks?
DeleteJoe,
DeleteNo, they don't.
They saw a man upon the stair
ReplyDeleteThey knew he wasn't really there
He wasn't there again today
Oh how they wish he'd go away!
I am that man upon the stair.
Some day I'm sure I'll go away
When I'll be called I cannot say.
I'm rarely booed, and never hissed,
Yet when I go, I know I won't be missed.
That's fine. I do not feel less big,
Becuase I just don't care a fig!
