A commenter at The Hill linked to a twitter account with this video... The artistry is amazing!
Someone said it was made to criticize President Trump, others said it was tongue in cheek, I don't know...
I agree with the commenter who said President Trump just had to buy that thing, bring it over here and use it for his 2020 reelection campaign. Progs would be soiling their dainties.
I enjoyed the comments, especially these:
Doc Hollanaise said... Apparently Disney finally did some tweaking on the Hall of Presidents
Matt Thompson said... Is that supposed to be . . . an insult? They know he'll want to pilot that thing for the 2020 campaign, right?
Trump:
The man down the hall said... I don't care if you like Trump or not or think this is supporting him or mocking him. This is one badass float. Look at that detail on the sword and uniform. They eyes even move. Holy crap, the artists who did this were phenomenal.
It's only two minutes, enjoy!
How awesome would it be to have a DJT hood ornament on your car? Just think about all the exploding heads as you drove north on Columbia Pike ... Heh.

DeleteObama's eyes must have turned green when he watched this video!
ReplyDeleteMore like it was his COMPLEXION, AOW.
DeleteI'm sure Obama and his devoted adherents turned a bilious shade of khaki green at the very THOUGHT of President Trump, whose presence in the White House certainly must make Obama, angry, queasy, bitter and impotent with severe, uncontrollable dyspepsia.
For eight seemingly interminable years Obama succeded in "fundamentally transforming" our beautiful WHITE HOUSE into a SHITE HOUSE.
How our first black President must HATE to see his dark brown BESMIRCHMENT of our National Icons and Foundng Ideals and Pruncioles neutralized, then SANITIZEDby the bold activism of President Donald.Trump –– the first true AMERICAN we've had in the White House since Ronald Reagan regrettably passed the torch to the treacherous George H.W. Bush and the débacle that followed him.

DeleteRelated: This should interest you from Cass Sunstein. I may not agree with his ideology, but I never ignore him. He is smart in very dangerous ways.
Trump Is Right to Warn Democrats About ‘Socialism’
Gort! Klaatu Barada Nikto!
DeleteWhat interests me is that right-centrists like Sunstein understand that the word is gaining some acceptance and losing its unfavorable connotations and need to try to block the shift that has started.
DeleteFunny how you guys on the extreme left consider him a dangerous rightwinger because he's not faithful to the politburo orthodoxy.
DeleteThe man is an independent thinker, and one of the chief reasons many of his ideas are so brilliant novel is because he's not wearing ideological blinders when he analyzes and theorizes.
I find him scary because his ideas in the wrong hands could do a lot of damage.
Sunnstein is a creature of such fearful mien
DeleteThat its hideus face should scarcely be seen
Yet seen to oft –– familiar with its face
At first we inquire, empathize, –– then embrace.
~ ASlexander Pope updated by FT
Pope's original featured "VICE," but what he said of that elemental source of misery and degradation could easily apply to ANY evil-but-seductive thing.
I would strongly advise not allowing ourselves to be taken in by evidence of "intelligence."
The Devil is incredibly intelligent. He is well represented by the sophistry and guile that passes for "Creative Thought." Invariably these beguiling notions –– couched in reams of dense, dry academic prose to cloak them in a false aura of worthiness and respectability –– do nothing but lead innocent young people many of whom have high IQ's, themselves, down the Garden Path.
Just because someone appears "smart" and may have mastered the trappings of quasi-erudition does not mean he deserves more than a scintilla of our respectful attention.
Satan has never been a red monster with a leering, glowering, bearded face, black horns, a neavy tail and a black cloven hoof. That image is entirely misleading.
No, Satan is enormously attractive –– sexy, smart, apparently genial and empathetic. Satan is both The Great Seducer and the Great Prevaricator. It's impossible to win an argument with him in the earthly terms of intellecuality we've been sedulously cultivated to accept.
THEREFORE, rather than allowing ourselves to FLIRT with concepts pointedly anatagonisitc to Holy Writ , Beloved Tradition, and Common Sense, we need to return to the sort of BASIC EDUCATION once firmly established that firmly inculcated very CLEAR, PRECISE concepts of Right and Wrong, Helpful and Counter-Productive, Loving and Unkind in young minds from the cradle through high school and beyond.
To a high degree this involves teaching the very young how to recognize "The Devil," despite his infinite skill in creatkng and adopting many guises –– all of them designed to charm, mislead, goad, frighten, and eventually trap and ensnare –– the Innocent into accepting, even worshipping, Envy, Spite, Malice, Crime, Dishonesty, Duplicity, Manipulation, Perversion and misplaced Sympathy as legitimate –– even necessary –– means to achieving a perhaps-needed< much-desired ambition.
Our only hope is to learn how to see through The Evil One's clever disguises, and then follow this biblical precept:
"RESIST the DEVIL, and HE will FLEE from YOU."
The trick of course is to learn how to IDENTIFY the Devil.
That's NOT as EASY as MOST probably THINK. In fact I believe it is THE CENTRAL PROBLEM of EXISTENCE.
Sunstein's ideas cannot be placed on an ideological spectrum, nor can they be called good or evil.
DeleteI'm sorry you don't understand. It's not your fault, it's they way you –– and countless millions of others –– been subtly condtioned without even realizing it.
Delete"Satan's greatest accomplishmnt to date has been to persuade most people to beliee that he doesn't exist."
Let's drop it, beause I see further discussion could lead nowhre I would ever hope to go.
My time on earth will soon be over, thank God.
I don't belong here anymore –– and haven't for a great many years.
Can you cite some of his works to support your contention they are evil or leftwing?
DeleteI am a logical, facts-based man, so I am open to persuasion.
I find it fascinating that both you and Ducky do not like him.
Not having time –– or much inclination –– to argue I'll have to quote my old friend Bitch Cassidy from Frontpage Magazine who said when asked a similar question at FPM eighteen years ago:
Delete"Honey, I don't have to eat a pound of shît to know it ain't gonna taste good."
That's a cop out for people who cannot substantiate their statements with established facts.

Despise me all you like, but I'm a firm believer in Guilt by Association. "birds of a feather ..." and all that.
Just because someone has a high level of intellectual acumen does not make them "GOOD." In fact high IQ too pfetn seems to breed cantankerous, argumentative, rebellious, anti-social troublemakers.
Thank you. I do not despise you, and I never said Sunstein was "good." I just like to hear some justification when people make strong comments.

ReplyDeleteAs I pass through my incarnations
___ in every age and race,
I make my proper prostrations
___ to the Gods of the Market Place.
Peering through reverent fingers
___ I watch them flourish and fall,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings,
___ I notice, outlast them all.
We were living in trees when they met us.
___ They showed us each in turn
That Water would certainly wet us,
___ as Fire would certainly burn:
But we found them lacking in Uplift,
___ Vision and Breadth of Mind,
So we left them to teach the Gorillas
___ while we followed the March of Mankind.
We moved as the Spirit listed.
___ They never altered their pace,
Being neither cloud nor wind-borne
___ like the Gods of the Market Place,
But they always caught up with our progress,
___ and presently word would come
That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield,
___ or the lights had gone out in Rome.
With the Hopes that our World is built on
___ they were utterly out of touch,
They denied that the Moon was Stilton;
___ they denied she was even Dutch;
They denied that Wishes were Horses;
___ they denied that a Pig had Wings;
So we worshipped the Gods of the Market
___ Who promised these beautiful things.
When the Cambrian measures were forming,
___ They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons,
___ that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us
___ and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said:
___ "Stick to the Devil you know."
On the first Feminian Sandstones
___ we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour
___ and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children
___ and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said:
___ "The Wages of Sin is Death."
In the Carboniferous Epoch
___ we were promised abundance for all,
By robbing selected Peter
___ to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money,
___ there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said:
___ "If you don't work you die."
Then the Gods of the Market tumbled,
___ and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled
___ and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters,
___ and Two and Two make Four
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings
___ limped up to explain it once more.
As it will be in the future,
__ it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain
___ since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit

And the burnt Fool's bandaged finger
___ goes wabbling back to the Fire;
And that after this is accomplished,
___ and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing
___ and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us,
___ as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings

The Gods of the Copybook Headings (1919)
~ Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936)
You strenuously repeat this excellent poem every so often. Who are you exhorting to finally "get it?"
DeleteThose of us who regularly comment here? Or larger society?
The entire nation is now –– and has been for at least sixty years –– in desperate need of absorbing and accepting the ultmate wisdom expressed so powerfully in Kipling's cntury-old brilliantly blunt REJECTION and REFUTATION of the LEFTIST UTOPIAN THNKING that was soon to cast a dark shadow over Western Civilization and plant deeply the poisonous STINKWEEDS that would ine day bring us to our present pass.
DeleteThere isn't a soul alive who does not need the tenets embodied in this vitally important lesson to be retaught and reinforced.
TRUTH is not –– and never has been –– subject to the vicissitudes of FASHION.
I still don't know who you are arguing against or why you posted this here. None of the non-kook left regular commenters here advocate abandoning timeless wisdom for some new fad.
DeleteSo, who are you aiming this at? Please be clear and specific.
I'm really sorry, Silver. If Kipling's words don't speak to you directly, nothing I could possibly say would be able to get through either.
DeleteMy worst fears have been fully realized. The Left has skillfully managed to create such an enormous, ever-widenIng gulf between generations that eVen people born only fifteen to ttwenty years apart no longer speak the same language.
OUR TOUCHStinES, TALISMANS AND TERMS OF REFERENCE HAVE BEEN SO POLLUTED AND OBSCURED WITH CONFLICTING, CONFUSING "THEORIES" WE JUST CAN'T TALK TO EACH OTHER ANYMORE.
A SHAME, BUT SINCE I AM IN THE LAST LAPS AND BEGINNING TO CIRCLE THE DRAIN, AS IT WERE, I DON'T HAVE TO CARE ANYMORE.
THE IDEA OF WITHDRAWING COMPLETELY AND SPENDING THE REST OF MY FEW REMAINI[NG DAYS AS A RECLUSE DREAMING OF BETTER DAYS LOOKS MORE APPEALING EVERY DAY.
Might as well, because I've felt as if I'd been thrown into an oubliette already for a long time. Often when I come here I feel as though I must have becime an Invisible Man. I see and respind to everyone, bu for the most part no ne respinds to me, except for the occasional insult or reprimand.
I never hear the word "escape"
___ without a quicker blood ––
A sudden agitation ––
___ a flying attitude.
I never hesr
___ of prisins broad
By soldiers battered down ––
___ but I tug –– childish ––
At my bars ––
___ only to fail again.
~ Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)
For me there is far more truth to be found in poetry than in any dreary compilation of facts and figures gathered to promote an undoubtedly tendentious point of view.
