The Clinton Machine

With a hat tip to TOTUS:

Has American ever before been as plagued by a political machine this corrupt and this Teflon-esque?

  1. Can anyone name any one else that took money in exchange for political favors.
I can it was a Governor who did. He is currently serving a 14 year term in Federal prison, hint... his last name is ..... Blagovich!
How can ANYONE in good conscience Vote for Hillary Clinton? After all the lies she's been caught in? After she was caught using her foundation as a diplomatic tool to woo foreign governments and dignitaries into donating money to it? How much mental contortion do you have engage in to justify why you'll vote for her in November? If this sounds like me shaming you for who you're voting for, it does. I'm admonishing you in the strongest possible terms, you know, without sounding like a complete and total IDIOT. I know some very upstanding people who despite their values would vote for a woman who has none. It blows my mind. What in the world are you thinking?
Well lets start here.... Think about this NEW reverlation: new Abedin Emails Revealed Hillary Clinton State Department Gave Special Access to Top Clinton Foundation Donors!!! SO YOU BELIEVE IT NOW?
1)Hillary Clinton Lied to congress about turning all of her work related emails to the State Department, and has continued to lie even as 15,000 new work related e-mails were discovered by the FBI today.
    2) Deleted 30,000 (oh wait, lets make that 45,000) e-mails, some with with classified information on them, and then lied about it.
    3) Blamed the Sept 11, 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack on a YouTube video, even when she knew right off the bat that it wasn't because of a video.
    4) Used the Clinton Foundation as a diplomatic tool to woo foreign leaders and dignitaries into donating to it, using Huma Abedin as the middle "man." A textbook case of a "pay for play" scheme.
    5) Snubbed an endorsement by the nation's largest police union.
    6) Responded to her inability to visit the flood victims in Louisiana by saying "I will come when the time is appropriate." (What does that even mean?)
So, after reading through all of that, what disturbs you more? Which candidate disturbs you more? How does one try to equate Trump's comments and actions to the her clear criminal activity and outright lies? This is a woman running for president who said she "would come when the time is appropriate" in regards to the flood victims in Louisiana. For all of Trump's flaws as a man and a candidate, he took the time out of his campaign at least HE sent a fully laden 18 wheel tractor trailer with supplies, at his own expense to the flood victims in Louisiana.
So how, in good conscience, can you vote for Hillary Clinton? I can put up with Trump's behavior because none of detestable as with Madam Hillary! , NONE of it t rises to the loathsome, despicable, detestable, level of Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton level. Any well informed voter would be able to understand that what she did was endanger our national security and abuse her power as Secretary of State . It bothers me that there are people out there who are still going to vote for her despite all of that.) Has gone 262 days without a press conference (as of today).
EVEN Comey said she lied every time she spoke about her emails.

She needs to be placed under house arrest until a real investigation and trial can ensue. She has compromised the Republic.

Only Trump will have the willingness to bring the Clintons full circle to account for their crimes and corruption.

  3. Hillary Clinton is dirty.

She turned the US State Department into a branch office of the Clinton Foundation, complete with concierge services provided by Clinton consigliere Huma Weiner.

If she's elected, she'll turn the White House into Clinton Foundation Fundraising Headquarters.

  4. The initials "HC" for Hillary Clinton could just as easily stand for Hateful and Corrupt! I strong suspect that Hillary not Bill is the driving force behind the Clinton Foundation. In fact, although many criticize Bill for his philandering acts before and after his Presidency---one can understand his thought process considering the woman he was married too. Without a doubt, Hillary is the mastermind and Bill is just along for the ride. Kind of makes one feel sorry for Bubba! Thanks for the H/T!

  5. The Clinton's didn't invent official corruption; they just dragged it to new lows and dressed it up with the "global charity" business model, which is a barely-dressed up personal-enrichment tax-dodging scam.

Influence peddling and buying access have been around since the dawn of man and were present even in primitive tribal structures.

It's a sign of the times that this would have sunk an ordinary candidate only a decade ago, and a Trump never would have even cracked single digits in the primaries.

We are witnessing the polished marble facades falling off of our political system. The only thing that save the Democrat Party is the old saw, "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king."

However, you don't make inroads against her with the yammering of the likes of a shrew like Jeanine Pirro.

    2. I think that is the question of the day, Z.

The criticism of Clinton (deserved) is coming from (I don't know how else to say it) the shrill far right media.
They are simply screaming to the choir and not going to have any effect.

Compound that with the fact that Trump himself is the most polarizing candidate we've seen in my lifetime and Clinton skates.

Is there a conservative who could defeat Clinton? I don't know.
If it were me I'd give Kasich a shot.

    5. Z... who could be Hillary? It's a great question. I think the GOP needed an outsider who seemed sane. Trump is not that. Does he seem like Presidential timber to anyone here? I'm not asking if he can do the job, nor am I saying HRC is either. I am just asking about him. When you think of Trump, can you see him as a statesman? Does he bring honor, or can you see him bringing honor to America?

I was not a big fan of Reagan, but he did do that. As did, in my opinion JFK and Ike.

Who from either party fits that bill? on the GOP side, maybe Kasich. I liked him and would have voted for him. I am not a fan of all his policies, but I respect him. Joe Scarborough. He's another who maybe could fill that role.

In my opinion, the GOP should have gone hat in hand and drafted Condaleeza Rice. She'd have co-opted the female vote and part of the African American vote. And while she made some mistakes with the Bush Admin, she's have been tough to beat.

But that's the issue. Who wants to run and get the crap beat out of them? Romney was a good man and the Dems made it personal, like the GOP has done over the years to Dem candidates.

We've got a lousy system. It's a last man standing system.

I'm with Silvers idea... maybe a parliamentary system is better. It seems to be the only democratic system around the world that is consistently working.

      My two cents...

    6. You could be right....Joe Scarborough? Dave, nobody could stoop that low, you're joking, right? The man with his finger in the wind?
And do you think Hillary will bring honor to America with all that's said about her?

The Left would have destroyed Condi Rice...no way she had a chance, but she was an excellent candidate, you're right.

Maybe Parliament is a better idea....how very sad. We're back to King George again? (smile)

    7. Z: This is why such discussions with Democrats are a worthless waste of time.

Remember, these are the same people who engaged in flagrant virtue-signalling by claiming they loved to "Feel the Bern," knowing damn good and well ol' Bernie would be under Hellary's Tank tracks before the convention.

These are the hard-core Democrats who love to tell the GOP which candidates it should run, but the Hillary Democrats positing such candidates would never in a million years vote for any of them.

The Ducky-types love to bring up Kasich, because they know he's too polite to fight dirty against the corrupt Clinton Fear and Smear Machine. Kasich would sit there in his grandfather sweater, smile and go down losing to another Dirty Democrat the good ol' GOP way.

Condoleezza Rice disqualified herself with her serial Bush-Cheney bungling and gratuitous, inept warmongering. Anybody remember how she was supposed to be an 'expert' on Russia? How the hell did that work out?

As I said in another comment, we are witnessing the polished marble facades falling off of our political system. Ugly, ain't it?

    8. SF, it's clear to me that the biggest problem is that each party feels it know what's right for America, but one party hasn't a clue about its history and what made it great, and what sustained that greatness..UNTIL entitlements became the end goal. And our greatness has dwindled since we became more into what we can GET from it than what we can DO for it, like staying as personally self reliant as possible, lifting her up instead of apologizing for her and teaching only her negatives to our kids, discontinuing history in lieu of teaching GREEN and anti-bullying ....bringing in immigrants breaking the law even as they enter, to say nothing of what happens after they're in....and celebrating idiocies like Sanctuary Cities! etc etc etc.

The Right tries so hard to point out that running ourselves down helps no one...that destroying our borders, and a media so blatantly in the tank for one party, etc., are so unhealthy for a country like America; all those things which made people want to get here and celebrate becoming a citizen are gone!

By the way, I don't think we can blame Condi Rice about Russia, since one can barely depend on Russia doing anything that's expected they'd do...they're mercurial and smarter than we are, particularly now that they know this president's so weak they can pretty much do anything.

Kasich; He's a wimp from the get-go...and he showed that in Ohio during the RNC convention.

      Delete
    9. To Clarify: I mean these things "discontinuing history in lieu of teaching GREEN and anti-bullying ....bringing in immigrants breaking the law even as they enter, to say nothing of what happens after they're in....and celebrating idiocies like Sanctuary Cities! etc etc etc." as things we should NOT CONTINUE DOING.

    1. GADFLY (WIKI)

A person who interferes the status quo of a society or community by posing novel, potently upsetting questions, usually directed at authorities. The term is originally associated with the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, in his defense when on trial for his life.

      Socrates

The term "gadfly" was used by Plato in the Apology[2] to describe Socrates's relationship as an uncomfortable goad to the Athenian political scene, which he compared to a slow and dimwitted horse.

During his defense when on trial for his life, Socrates, according to Plato, pointed out that dissent, like the gadfly, was easy to swat, but the cost to society of silencing individuals who were irritating could be very high: "If you kill a man like me, you will injure yourselves more than you will injure me" because his role was that of a gadfly, "to sting people and whip them into a fury, all in the service of truth." This may have been one of the earliest descriptions of gadfly ethics.

      Bible

Jeremiah uses a similar analogy as a political metaphor: "Egypt is a very fair heifer; the gad-fly cometh, it cometh from the north" ( Jeremiah 46:20, Darby Bible).

      Modern Politics

A gadfly is someone who persistently challenges people in positions of power, the status quo or a popular position. For example, Morris Kline wrote, "There is a function for the gadfly who poses questions that many specialists would like to overlook. Polemics are healthy."

"Gadfly" may be used in a pejorative sense or be accepted as a description of honourable work or civic duty.

Does this remind you of anyone you know here in the blogosphere? };^)>

What the WIKI article fails to mention is the all-too-frequent presence of fractious, disputatious individuals who love to play the role of "gadfly" –– NOT in pursuit of "Truth," but rather as a personal Power Fetish to make themselves feel '"important, " and to indulge their passion for being a ROYAL PAIN-in-the-ARSE.

Here’s what you need to know:

    1. Huma Abedin and terror-funder Abdullah Omar Naseef are directly connected.

This isn’t six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Huma Abedin served as the associate editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs for 12 years from 1996-2008, and appeared on the masthead of the organization’s journal right up until the time she began to work at the State Department for Hillary Clinton. This included the time she was working as an intern for Hillary Clinton at the White House. Nassef held the position of Chairman of the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs. Huma Abedin and Naseef overlapped at IMMA for a period of seven years. As former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy noted, “the journal was the IMMA’s raison d’etre.”
