I think it's high time we got all these RNC Establishment "gatekeepers" to the Republican nomination OUT of the conservative voter's way. RedState speaks for the RNC Establishment, NOT conservative voters. If Erick Erickson has a problem with Trump not being "conservative" enough for RedState, that's one thing. It's quite another thing if Erick Erickson thinks that "The Donald" isn't PC enough for RedState. And no honest conservative gives at rats ass about PC'ness.
They can weather it. But they'll never win another presidential election without conservatives showing up at the polls. And conservatives have NO reason to show up with the weak Tea that the Establishment has to offer..
If the "ratings" for the debate didn't clue them in, nothing will. All they have to do to lose "ratings" is to exclude "populists". Which is EXACTLY what they did in 2012 with Romney.
Finally, someone publishes this story....thanks, AOW. We're nowhere near hearing the extent of the migrant crisis in Europe and it's a curiosity that the news covers other international stories but what's happening re immigration is largely not being spoken about here....and hasn't been for years in Germany, France, England, etc..
I think it's no surprise...these truths don't support the media agenda, do they. Our adversaries are counting on us to ignore and deflect and not even call it for what it is. The Perfect Storm, indeed.
The time-lapse photography (I assume that's what it is, anyway) gives a good idea of the power and immensity of Nature. A very "modernesque" mid-nineteenth-century Turner painting "Seascape with Rain Cloud,"which I just happened to receive linked in an email earlier today, captures a remarkably similar Storm Event in oils.
I didn't particularly care for the music –– or Sound Effects rather (too LOUD!) –– but at least it did capture some sense of the awe most feel while witnessing a cataclysmic weather event.

ReplyDeleteTitan,
DeleteCan the GOP weather the brewing storm?

Does the GOP understand that FACT?

Deletebtw - That storm footage is quite exceptional!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, across The Pond...
ReplyDeleteElite troops moved to Chunnel as fears grow over terror threat: 100 Royal marines secretly deployed to Kent barracks to act as a Quick Reaction force should terrorists take advantage of migrant crisis.
A "perfect storm"!

Wow. That reminded me of some very early Pink Floyd...
ReplyDeleteSF,
DeleteI hadn't thought of that, but you're right.
Lovely AOW.. Always a surprise on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteBunkerville,
DeleteI do strive for variety with my Sunday blog posts. :^)

FT,
DeleteI knew that you wouldn't like the music much, but it does convey the right atmosphere (pun intended).
