Reminder About Fighting Demons

In the words of Friedrich Nietzche:
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.

    1. I always take anything from the Jerusalem Post with several large grain of salt.

We ought not to forget that they too have an "agenda."

There IS no "news" anymore. It is ALL propaganda.

EVERYBODY is grinding an axe of one sort or another. The TRUTH is nowhere to be found.

    2. There might be real and good propaganda value to spreading the word the ISIS fighters dress as women so as to flee the battlefield. Know what I mean?

  2. Pogo: "We have met the enemy and he is us."?

    1. I wish it were that simple, Ed, but when the rubber meets the road the "enemy" is the person or persons who are out to "get" you. Aggression must be countered with extreme violence. I truly believe that aggression of any kind should be regarded as capital offense.

If anyone accosts me in a threatening manner, I want that person to DIE –– preferably in the spot.

    1. I'm very much afraid it would only egg them on, Z.

They work on an entirely different "operating system" than we do.

If we try to treat them 'fairly" and "humanely," they will wind up slitting our throats or burning us alive.

If we treat them worse than they treat us, we MIGHT at least have a fighting chance of ANNIHILATING them. And absolute, uncompromising ANNIHILATION is what they richly deserve. I, personally, would be happy to see every last one of them –– including their women, children and infants –– DEAD.

You are such a decent, civilized person that you may think me horrible for saying what I just said, but I have no taste for martyrdom. I don't believe in giving aggressive enemies any break at all.

    2. It was only wishful thinking...I don't even think muslims like that, or anybody that rotten, can look at themselves as demons ....they wouldn't even understand the phrase...!

  4. I disagree. When dealing with a genuine monster, we have only two choices:

    EITHER

    1. Become a MONSTER in order to defeat and exterminate the foe

    OR

    2. Become a MARTYR to your sense of righteousness.

Unfortunately, there is no middle ground.

"EXTREMISM in DEFENSE of LIBERTY is NO VICE"

    "MODERATION in WAR is IMBECILITY."

    1. FT,
Put on the armour of God to prevent becoming a monster.

  5. I know why FreeThinke is so mad, somebody stole the R from his last name. :-)

Anyways I agree with him. Force used against me will be met with deadlier force. I carry a gun at all times and train in its use constantly. I am also not afraid to use it if necessary.

The only demon I am fighting now sits in the White House. Besides that I am on God's side.

    1. Duck,
Ahem. You, too, have been known to use hyperbole. Remember the one about Breitbart in a body bag?

    2. So AOW, Duck is your resident Obama adoring liberal troll?

Demon: One who does the bidding of Satan. Obama fits that to a T. He's been doing so for the past 6 years.

    3. Jack,
Obama is too much to the Right for Duck to support. Or so has stated Duck several times.

  6. So he/she is a progressive liberal nutjob. I'll ignore from now on.

Many frequent commenters here just ignore Duck and his comments. Others "engage." Your call!
