How does this end?

Silverfiddle Rant!

Nancy Jacobson observes...
For decades now, both parties have worked to ratchet up the pressure and widen the divide, needling their adversaries when they were in power, and acting as obstructionists when they were out. Slowly, it’s gotten worse and worse.

Then she asks the money question:
When does it end and what’s the way out?
Her answer, "a unity ticket," doesn't satisfy.

What is your answer?  How does this end?

  2. Most Americans have sold their political soul to the Duopoly, so to be blunt, they get what they deserve.

A potential [or partial] solution is viable political choice. But it's simply easier to divide intoi two neat groups...or "us" v. "them".

Perhaps THIS "caravan" doesn't make that much dfference to us one way or the other, BUT an important PRINCIPLE is being violated if the mob of fourteen-thousand succeed in gaining entrance.

IF we let them get away with it, hundreds of thousands –– possibly MILLIONS –– of OTHERS from ALL OVER the WORLD will soon follow in their wake, and surely we shall be OVERRUN.

That means we will LOSE OUR COUNTRY to Foreign Invaders. Our goverment will cease to have ANY meaningful power whatsoever. We, therefore, will llive in ANARCHY and we will LOSE CONTROL of our SOVEREIGNTY and our DESTINY.

If that happens, we will have been rendered ripe for a complete TAKEOVER by Globalist Oligarchs who want above all else to establish a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT administered by THEM, of course.

Inevitably, IF this is allowed to happen, WE will no longer be citizens with rights, we will be SLAVES to the whims, caprices, and selfish desires of these oligarchs.

The transformation will probably not occur overnight, but by allowing "caravans" such as the one headed our way now to enter with impunity, we will have taken a GIANT STEP toward fulfullment of the Ultimate Dream of the Globalists ALL of whom are would-be TYRANTS who favor MARXISM.

It doesn’t. Human beings are political animals. We may be a “United States,” but we are not now, and never have been a “united people.” We may be willing to send representatives to the Congress where they (supposedly) find ways to legislate for the good of the nation, but there is no willingness among the population to compromise on matters of principle. There are only two parties in the US: Americans and Socialists. Americans will continue to resist the socialists, and they in turn will continue to pursue their Marxist agenda. It doesn’t end. Ever.

I was born before Pearl Harbor and so came to life during that war. I remember very well its aftermath, so I believe I know what I am saying, even though I was just a child at the time.

Of course, there have always been naysayers, malcontents, and fractious dissident elements like our beloved Enemy-in-Residence, Quackpot Canardo, but they had always been relegated to "The Lunatic Fringe" until they gained success in exploiting The Great Depression, and The Plight of the Negro in order to get a deathgrip on the levers of power.

The 1965 Immigration Act, which reopened he floodgates to let in the tired, poor, huddled masses from distinctly ALIEN, NON-WHITE cultures whose mores, religious beliefs and values are pointedly antithetical to those of OUR country, as founded, –– a wicked, deliberately subversive, agenda-driven LEFTIST initiative, of course, –– succeeded in sparking dissonance and divisiveness not seen since the outbreak of Lincoln's War of Northern Aggression against our Southern States –– conflict that left SIX-HUNDRED-THIRTY-FIVE-THUSAND Americans DEAD and countless millions, crippled, blinded, widowed, orphaned and hideously impoverished.

The result of the crypto-Marxian Progressives' rise to power has been to DISUNITE the country, and turn it into the chaotic conglomeration of warring splinter factions we have become in latter years.

      ADRIENNE RICH - from WIKI

Born Adrienne Cecile Rich May 16, 1929 Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Died March 27, 2012 (aged 82) Santa Cruz, California

Spouse Alfred Haskell Conrad (1953-1970; his death; 3 children)
      [Lesbian] Partner Michelle Cliff (1976-2012)

Adrienne Cecile Rich, an American poet, essayist and feminist was called "one of the most widely read and influential poets of the second half of the 20th century.", She was credited with bringing "the oppression of women and lesbians to the forefront of poetic discourse."

Her first collection of poetry, A Change of World, was selected by W. H. Auden for the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award. Auden went on to write the introduction to the published volume. She famously declined the National Medal of Arts, protesting the vote by House Speaker Newt Gingrich to end funding for the National Endowment for the Arts.

      Early Life and Education

Adrienne Rich was the elder of two sisters. Her father, renowned pathologist Arnold Rice Rich, was the chairman of pathology at The Johns Hopkins Medical School. Her mother, Helen Elizabeth (Jones) Rich, was a concert pianist and a composer. Her father was from a JEWISH family, and her mother was Southern Protestant; the girls were raised as CHRISTIANS.

Adrienne Rich's early poetic influence stemmed from her FATHER who encouraged her to read but also to write her own poetry. Her interest in literature was sparked within her father's library where she read the work of writers such as Ibsen, Arnold, Blake, Keats, Rossetti, and Tennyson.

Her FATHER was ambitious for Adrienne and "planned to create a prodigy."

Adrienne and her younger sister were taught at home by their mother until Adrienne began public education in the fourth grade.

The poems Sources and After Dark document her relationship with her FATHER describing how she worked hard to fulfill her parents' ambitions for her—moving into a world in which she was expected to excel.

    2. PART TWO

In later years, Rich went to Roland Park Country School, which she described as a "good old fashioned girls' school [that] gave us fine role models of single women who were intellectually impassioned."

After graduating from high school, Rich gained her college diploma at RACLIFFE College, where she focused primarily on poetry and learning writing craft, encountering no women teachers at all.

      In 1951, her last year at college, Rich's first collection of poetry, A Change of World, won Younger Poets Award for the Yale Series;

Following her graduation, Rich received a Guggenheim Fellowship to study at Oxford for a year. Following a visit to Florence, she chose not to return to Oxford, and spent her remaining time in Europe writing and exploring Italy.

In 1953, Rich married Alfred Haskell Conrad, an economics professor at Harvard she'd met as an undergraduate. She said of the match: "I married in part because I knew no better way to disconnect from my first family. I wanted what I saw as a full woman's life, whatever was possible." [NOTICE PLEASE SHE SAID NOTHING WHATSOEVER ABOUT LOVE]

They settled in CAMBRIDGE MASSACHUSETTS and had three sons. In 1955, she published her second volume, The Diamond Cutters a collectiodn she said she wished had not been published.

That year she also received the Ridgely Torrence Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America. Her three children were born in 1955 (David), 1957 (Pablo) and 1959 (Jacob).

      — From "Diving into the Wreck"

Diving into the Wreck: Poems 1971–1972 (1973)

The 1960s began a period of change in Rich's life: she received the National Institute of Arts and Letters award (1960), her second Guggenheim Fellowship to work at the Netherlands Economic Institute (1961), and the Bollingen Foundation grant for the translation of Dutch poetry (1962).

In 1963, Rich published her third collection, Snapshots of a Daughter-in-Law, which was a much more personal work examining her female identity, reflecting the increasing tensions she experienced as a wife and mother in the 1950s, marking a substantial change in Rich's style and subject matter.

In her 1982 essay "Split at the Root: An Essay on JEWISH IDENTITY", Rich states: "The experience of motherhood was eventually to radicalize me." The book met with harsh reviews. She comments, "I was seen as 'bitter' and 'personal' ... I realised I'd gotten slapped over the wrist, and I didn't attempt that kind of thing again for a long time."

Moving her family to NEW YORK in 1966, Rich became involved with the NEW LEFT and became heavily involved in anti-war, civil rights, and feminist activism.

Her husband took a teaching position at City College of New York.

In 1968, she signed the "Writers and Editors War Tax Protest" pledge, vowing to refuse tax payments in protest against the Vietnam War. Her collections from this period include Necessities of Life (1966), Leaflets (1969), and The Will to Change (1971), which reflect increasingly radical political content and interest in poetic form. ...

More to the point would be the climate of contention and hate which you and the fringe right have been fostering since the days of early rabies radio. But now that you have a tiger by the tail you cowards are trying to walk it back (well some, others wallow in it).

Did you get the memo?? How many times do I need to tell YOU that I'm first and second generation and proud of it? How many times do you have to hear legal immigrants who worked so hard to get here and are PROUD to be here, bemoan the illegals who not only are breaking the law but lumping themselves into "Hispanic" as if ALL Hispanics are doing wrong? To me, they're some of the best Americans we have today, and I hope and pray more can come here legally, learn English, show the affection so many of them do show for our country...far more than not only than the 'fringe left' but most lefties show by wanting Constitutional ignorance, no due process, etc.....
