More Fragile Little Snowflakes

I see spoiled brats throwing tantrums (San Diego State University):

From this article at The College Fix (dated November 23, 2016):
San Diego State University on Tuesday hosted a “Healing Circle” to help students process their confusion, anger and fear over Donald Trump’s election and develop ways to stand against “injustice,” according to organizers.

The circle drew roughly 20 participants, a student who attended the session told The College Fix. Students sat at tables facing each other as facilitators talked them through the fact that they needed to come to grips with the election results, similar to the stages of grief.

[...]

Marketed as an event for “moving forward together,” students attending the event would learn about the “mental health and community-based resources” available to them following the election.

[...]

While the circle only drew a handful of students, the day after Election Day, hundreds of SDSU students took to the quad to protest Trump’s victory.

[...]

As distraught students across the country have denied recognizing Trump as the next president, SDSU has not been the only institution to offer community discussions and safe spaces.

The University of Michigan-Flint, Virginia Tech, Columbia University, Barnard College, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Iowa State, UC Santa Cruz, University of Pennsylvania, Rice University, UT-Austin, George Mason and many others have offered similar support to grieving students.
Read the rest HERE.

What are these whiny babies [aka fragile little snowflakes] going to do when, in the course of their lives, actual personal tragedy and grief strike them? Very, very few who walk this earth manage to escape devastating personal grief.

Furthermore, "healing circles" don't accomplish anything other than feeding a victimology mindset.

These young people need to get a job instead of taking up space at a university. They are simply too immature to be attending an institution of higher learning.  They need to grow up before embarking on what is touted to be "higher education."

I note that there was a huge celebration by Cubans living in Florida. Too bad that Ethel Merman isn't around to sing for them.

    5. From this essay:

      Socialism should die with Castro

(CNN)A dictator is dead. Another country's citizens may be ready to abandon the discredited and economically disastrous ideology of communism. Citizens can hope that free speech, a free press and human rights will become the order of the day.
A moment to celebrate, surely? Not for the left. For them, the death of Fidel Castro is one of sadness. Take Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the British Labour Party, who said: "Fidel Castro's death marks the passing of a huge figure of modern history, national independence and 20th century socialism."

      [...]

The death of Castro should be the death of any lingering belief in socialism as a distinct and beneficial form of economic organization. Instead, it has been used as the opportunity to celebrate "a champion of social justice." That shouldn't just raise questions on the left, it should be a source of shame.

    6. Ducky, I hate to break it to you but I can see a new day dawning. Fidel has well, thrown in the towel, bit the bullet and croaked already.

You mock Donald Trump with childish name calling, but he's got way more positive aspects to his character than either Hillary Clinton or Barrack Obama. He's more of a family oriented person, he's a non-smoker or drinker, which I'd say is hard to do especially over the span of his lifetime.

Now I'm postive Donald Trump being a life-long New Yorker knows plenty about the despicable scandals over the past decades, including 9/11 and when he speaks about draining the swamp I'm sure he's familiar with the corruption and depravity in the upper echelons of Washington and New York politics.

And that would include the disgusting "Pizza-Gate" that that is engulfing political insiders of both parties.

    8. AOW, I found the recent interview of Donald Trump by Harvey Levin to be more revealing than I had expected. I thought Trump being the product of a wealthy family (supposedly) was raised as quite a normal young kid, having friends that he hung around with and playing baseball, in which he did well, even being scouted by major league teams, according to that interview.

I think if kids are raised by too protective and over-doting parents, where the kid becomes the entire center of attention it carried through in later life, being a spoiled rich brat. Donald Trump doesn't fit that mould, as I thought he would. At least that's how he comes off to me in that interview.

And I doubt Harvey Levin went out of his way to make look good in that interview.

    9. It's not only race but class, CI.

I've been thinking about their so called tantrums in light of Trump's recent promise to do something about the Carrier plant relocation. Lot of jobs at stake and Trump says he'll save them.

      Why is the factory moving?

Automation? They're moving the machinery piece by piece. So that's not it.

Low wage labor? Carrier is United Technology's most profitable division. Would they risk the move and why wait so long since NAFTA's passage? No it ain't that.

Stock buy backs? The hedgies are pushing to get it moved to the lower wage site to generate profits for a stock buy back. It's stock manipulation that was actually illegal before Bill Clintoon revoked the regulation which is why Her Nibs had nothing to say about lost jobs during the campaign.

What does that have to do with the tantrum throwers? Remember Occupy Wall Street? I'm sure you were condemning those tantrum throwers who were out of touch with reality?
Well, they were right and they were right to stump for Sanders and oppose The Orange Man and Her Nibs.

Maybe you should be more open.

Regarding "Thought Criminal" the Cheeto Jesus is uncalled for, just like when Glenn Beck rubbed his face in crushed Cheetos to mock Trump. I don't think we have been punked. Time will tell.

  17. Jill Stein (Hillary Clinton’s) recount is akin to Michael Brown’s father standing in front of an angry mob of rioters after our judicial system found Officer Wilson innocent of murder, begging them to burn the city of Ferguson to the ground. Instead of finding ways to help heal and bring our nation together after a extremely contentious election, the Democrats have managed to find a way to keep our nation on edge. Democrats have made it clear by their bad post-election behavior, that they are unwilling to accept the results of the election and move on. Instead of regrouping and figuring out what they need to do to win back the voters they’ve lost, they’re going to drag and already divided America through a recount based on nothing more than hope.
