North Carolina Democrat Verla Insko got some chuckles from some of her colleagues in the state Senate during legislative hearings onObamacare after she asked about the percentage of prostate cancer patients that were women.The very concept of April 1st Foolery dominates year round — and not the least of this risibility is politicians.
“What percent of the prostate cancer patients are women?” Insko, a state representative from Chapel Hill, asked Duke University research scholar Chris Conover during the hearing in Raleigh on Tuesday [March 17].
“I have no idea,” Conover replied, as people in the room began laughing.
“I would guess zero,” he added. “But I don’t know that for sure.”

After spending the money from two grants, jetting across the globe and gathering data, staying at five star hotels and ordering the most expensive house wine available, dining on Kobe beef, purchasing artisan trinkets, and contemplating the nature of the question I can state in clear terms that there is a zero chance of a woman developing prostate cancer.
