Sign Up For ObamaCare, and Get a Free SmartPhone

From NashvilleBizBlog:
Community Health Alliance, Tennessee's health insurance co-op, is running a unique promotional program to drive enrollment in its plans for sale on the exchange: health insurance in exchange for a smartphone.

As part of its Community Health Connection Program, CHA is offering qualified individuals an LG Lucid 2 4G smart phone (or equivalent model), a phone plan and tech support, included as a cost of their health plan benefits. The phone plan includes unlimited talk, unlimited texting and 1.2GB of data..
Even Ezra Klein acknowledges that the launch of ObamaCare is "a big failure":

Robert Gibbs, clearly not a harsh critic of Obama, has called the launch "excruciatingly embarrassing":

CNN reporter Elizabeth Cohen has been unable to sign up despite two weeks of trying to do so:

It's one thing for Obama to have promised a state-of-the-art method for signing up for health insurance, quite another matter entirely to come up with a system that works as advertised.

Additional information: Obamacare's Website Is Crashing Because It Doesn't Want You To Know How Costly Its Plans Are (Forbes) and From the Start, Signs of Trouble at Health Portal (New York Times).

  1. As Pelosi said "we have to pass it to know what's in it"!
Ignorant people who don't have a clue how health insurance works for example why in the f...k put 85% as a requirement in ACA for medical liability ratio WHEN it already averages 80%!!! What do these idiots think insurance reserves come from???
I bet YOU have no idea what I mean by that which is totally typical of idiots that support ACA!
Idiots who think all health insurance companies out to screw people are actually a reflection of themselves!
.liberals will STILL blame republicans for it not working right....especially those not setting up state exchanges....

    Let's face it....Dims will always blame Reps for everything of theirs that goes wrong...which is just about everything...we need to make it hard for them and fight them every step of the way.;

    Lets not forget, these are the same people RESPONSIBLE Benghazi and the IRS scandal;

  2. Obamacare is even worse than you think! The leftist fanatics have been scrabbling to divert attention from the disaster that is the rollout of Obamacare's "exchanges". They must be thanking their lucky stars that the government shutdown (well, 17% of the govt) came along when it did. They can argue and bicker about that, instead of about a SERIOUS issue such as the complete flop of Obamacare.

If there had been a few bugs here and there (a normal occurrance with brand-new, large systems), they would have been ironed out quickly, in a day or two max.

But the more people try to use the exchange websites, the more problems come up, the more trouble they have, and the more people fail to sign up. And yet the FOOLS the follow that lunatic over at the Progressive Rupture blog keep calling us Conservatives names! .

How long will it be before we are told that this new car has square wheels, a plastic frame, wooden seats, and an engine that is permanently locked up?
If it was supposed to be SO great, the why is it that so few have signed up?
And if the government can't even run a webiste (which is far simpler than Obamacare itself), are they really the ones we want to trust with the nation's entire health care system?

  3. Gee, sounds like they need a one-year delay in the individual mandate...

  4. What a great idea ... now, what does that cost the rest of us?

  6. They may find that their phone comes at a high price. Though these folks might not have much, what little may vanish once the hackers get through with them.

  7. Progressives are responsible for this farce to get passed for yet you don’t hear a word about this being a total embarrassment. You reap what you sow, and that’s the bottom, line! It used to be Hope and Change! Now it's I Hope that it works! Obamacare is an embarrassing failure period! There isn’t anything this incompetent President and his minions haven't done, that hasn’t royally screwed up?
Omamba and his sycophants guided a moronic idea from it's inception to a debacle, a catastrophe, and finally a total nightmare.
Maybe this explains why so many neighborhoods in Chicago are a total train wreck. Omamba organized them !

And Omamba and the Omamba-ites offer’s candy while bankrupting the country.
Omamba can criticize, scold, name call the repubs all he wants.........he is the president...UNFORTUNATELY...it is all his................Obama and Reid own it.

  8. This will only appeal to the short-sided free stuff crowd. They are willing to let the rest of us foot their bill.

  9. I had not heard this one, but not surprised. I don't think many in Tennessee signed up even with the offer of free phones.

  11. Republicans gave President Obama an ultimatum.....Defund Obamacare or we will shut down the Government
The President refused to give in to extortion

Now the TeaTurds are giving Boehner an ultimatum.......Default on our debt or it will cost you your job
Boehner needs to show some character and do what is right for his country. He needs to tell the TeaTurds that America is fed up with their antics and he will no longer be a part of it.
Obama has stopped the Republicans in their tracks and now they are being held accountable by the American public. With a 20% approval rating, Republicans are going to have a hard time explaining there way out of this one.
And BTW I have employee provided health care and we can keep ours. I don't see what the big issue is unless you start to believe some of the Tea Turds BS...

  12. I think the President should order investigations into the Tea-Turders, I mean the Tea- baggers for being a domestic terror cell. Having them arrested and thrown in jail would be the best thing ever done for this nation. These people piss me off.

  13. IT'S ALL OVER. CRUZ CAVES.

"Cruz was never going to jam the House by delaying a deal and absorbing all the blame for the consequences. That the media thought so reveals that his image has changed radically since getting to the Senate. He’s no longer viewed as the GOP’s answer to Barack Obama.
Give Republicans credit where credit is due: They certainly know how to Screw things up.
THE MEDIA VIEWS HIM AS THE SARAH PALIN OF THE SENATE.....LMAO

  14. Ok so this nitwit George Whyte has been posting his comments over and over all of the conservative boards I guess in this attempt to try to persuade people like me and those who check out this blog to take notice of this Intellectual disabled idiot. .

I’ve got news for you Georgie Boy and your mentor Shaw, my true opinions are FAR harsher than anything you can muster up.
Call it mean if it suits you, but my complete and utter disdain for most liberals is as sincere as anyone you will find anywhere and I have very deep and heart felt reasons for my disdain. Posting these comments only adds jet fuel to the fire.
But you know what I’m like don’t you! , Go to your Mentors moronic blog and post all the liberal shit that you want to..

Don’t come here to these conservative blogs with your vile propaganda. DON’T leave your filthy comments here.

  16. Today, ONE ObamaCare policy sold in Delaware. ONE! There was literally a victory celebration. Go figure.

  17. "Sign Up For ObamaCare, and Get a Free SmartPhone"

The majority of people who will eventually sign up will be the freebie crowd who won't have to pay for it. Does Tennessee REALLY think they can figure out how to use such a technically advanced phone? HA!

  18. George Whyte, "that's all I have to say!" Thank God for that!!! you lying bastard! Almost every word you uttered was a LIE! Lincoln was NOT a liberal! Martin Luther King was NOT a liberal! They were both REPUBLICANS!

As far as what did/do liberals do that offends conservatives, THEY are the ones KEEPING millions of Americans IN POVERTY! Stop creating and growing a system that REWARDS laziness! We conservatives have NO PROBLEM with our tax money providing for physically or mentally incapacitated people, or for providing for people who are temporarily in need of help due to circumstances such as their company closing, sickness etc. We ARE however SICK AND TIRED of supporting lazy bastards who will not work and generational welfare. Government programs are supposed to be a safety net when needed, NOT A FRIGGING CAREER!!!

  19. Obama is an affront to the Office of the President of the United States. There is an internet site petition to have Obama impeached. It is on the site teaparty.org
Furthermore ,there is also a new book out that's entitled IMPEACHABLE OFFENSES ;THE CASE FOR REMOVING BARACK OBAMA FROM OFFICE
by Aaron Klein anbd Brenda J. Elliott

  21. It must really suck to be a Republican this morning. My heart goes out to you, my Republican "friends". You can always turn on FOX News and hear how you actually won yesterday.
Meanwhile @conservative blogs, they're eating their own.
So this temper tantrum by Free Thinke and friends is going to have consequences in my opinion. Perhaps not serious ones but the polls are showing a serious negative downturn for the GOP and if they maintain the path of obstruction throughout 2014 it will come back to bite them. I guess the best thing that the TeaBaggers did was give government workers a free paid vacation, something that they always seem to bitch about when the President does the same..And exposing the Tea Baggers for the fools they are. Face it my friends, and my adversaries the GOP as an entity has lost credibility,, My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.

  24. First there were Obama Phones, then ObamaCare. It was only a matter of time before some community organizer packaged the two together. What's next? Obama cars? No, strike that, bad for global warming. I got it, Obama bicycles!

Yes, ObamaCare rollout is a mess and will likely get worse. At least Obama was smart to give business a one year delay. Imagine the millions of workers getting dumped from company plans along with all the other horror stories of individuals with premiums and deductibles skyrocketing. There would be a revolt. This way the pain is spread out and Obama hopes to manage it politically with a series of the usual sideshows we have all become accustomed to.

  25. Smartphones for the poor is hardly a new idea:
"The Lifeline program originated in 1984, during the administration of Ronald Reagan; it was expanded in 1996, during the administration of Bill Clinton; and its first cellular provider service (SafeLink Wireless) was launched by TracFone in 2008, during the administration of George W. Bush. All of these milestones were passed prior to the advent of the Obama administration."
