Shut Up!

From 2009 (with thanks to Dcat, who emailed me the video below):

Fast forward to 2013 (with thanks to Mustang for the link below the fold).

This is not a surprise, but it is a clear and present danger to our freedom (dated May 30, 2013):
DOJ: Social Media Posts Trashing Muslims May Violate Civil Rights

In its latest effort to protect followers of Islam in the U.S. the Obama Justice Department warns against using social media to spread information considered inflammatory against Muslims, threatening that it could constitute a violation of civil rights....

[...]

The area’s top federal prosecutor, Bill Killian, will address a topic that most Americans are likely unfamiliar with, even those well versed on the Constitution; that federal civil rights laws can actually be violated by those who post inflammatory documents aimed at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian says in the local news story. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.”...

  2. The London jihadist/beheader appeared in court today:

(Reuters) - One of two men charged with murdering a British soldier on a busy London street appeared in court for the first time on Monday, blowing kisses to a supporter in the public gallery and clutching what appeared to be a Koran.

    [...]

Flanked by three guards behind glass panels in the dock, Adebolajo asked to be identified by a different name, Mujahid Abu Hamza. His defense lawyer David Gottlieb and Deputy chief magistrate Emma Arbuthnot referred to him as Abu Hamza during the hearing.

Adebolajo repeatedly interrupted proceedings, asking why he had to stand up and questioning the charges after they were read to him.

"May I respond, may I respond," he asked several times during the five-minute hearing. He did not enter a plea and the magistrate said a further hearing will take place at the Central Criminal Court, known as the Old Bailey, on June 28.

    'ALLEVIATE THE PAIN'

Adebolajo, wearing a white T-shirt and white trousers, gave a thumbs-up sign to his defense lawyer and blew kisses to a man in the public gallery, appearing to mouth the words "I love you". The man declined to comment outside court.

At the end of the hearing, Adebolajo stretched out his arms, pointed them to the sky and then kissed the book he was holding.

"I would like to alleviate the pain if I may," he told the court before being led from the dock....

  6. And the Libs would just love us to forger and "move on" .. Not on your life!! Not when there are so many UN-answered questions about Benghazi, etc, and etc. Are we going to just forget about all these unanswered questions and all these scandal? The IRS scandals that the Dear Liar learned about the same time that we did? Are we going to press the issue until these UN-answered questions ARE answered? Or are we going to allow the Libs to say, "Time to Move On"?
There are so many UN-answered question to be answered that it is simply shameful. Where is the outrage from the families? Why aren’t they in the public limelight every day demanding answers? Is there something that I missed?

  8. As far as I am concerned, Islam is not only NOT a religion of peace, it is NOT EVEN a religion, it is a CULT! We should not be allowing mosques to be built on American soil and sharia law should be ILLEGAL. I expect ANYONE coming to America to assimilate to OUR culture and OUR language. If they don't like it, LET the door hit them on the ass on their way out!

  9. Creeping shari'a, but if the DOJ has its way, no criticism of Muslims will be allowed:

The EEOC is suing Star Transport for rightfully terminating two Muslims who refused to do their job. If these Muslim truck drivers don't want to deliver alcohol, then they shouldn't have taken a job in which part of their duties would be to deliver alcohol. It's that simple.

PEORIA, Ill. - Star Transport, Inc., a trucking company based in Morton, Ill., violated federal law by failing to accommodate two employees because of their religion, Islam, and discharging them, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today.

The lawsuit alleged that Star Transport refused to provide two employees with an accommodation of their religious beliefs when it terminated their employment because they refused to deliver alcohol.

The drivers refused to deliver legal products in America? So where, pray tell, does this end? I suspect the EEOC hasn't quite figured out where they'll draw the line on their enforcement of Sharia law:

    • Alcohol (line already crossed)
    • Ham sandwiches?
    • Bibles?
    • Televisions?
    • Single women on buses?
    • Magazines that depict "un-Islamic" images?
    • Slot machines and other devices related to gambling?
