A Few Minutes Of Fame

A little something on the lighter side — or "Be sure your sin will find you out":

Postal Carrier Caught In Workers' Comp Fraud On 'Price Is Right'

...On Monday [June 3, 2012], [former North Carolina postal worker Cathy Wrench] Cashwell pled guilty to fraud in connection with a workers' compensation claim that she filed in 2004. Cashwell had claimed that a shoulder injury prevented her from lifting mail trays into trucks for the United States Postal Service and, as a result, was collecting benefits since 2005. Then in 2009 she appeared on the game show "The Price is Right," where she used her whole upper body -- shoulders included -- to spin the show's famous "big wheel," twice. In what seems to be another brilliant move, she also posted a photo on her Facebook page that showed her riding a zipline, according to the indictment filed against her. But it was Cashwell's appearance on the show that tipped off investigators...

  1. One must wonder for every fraudulent claim that is caught, how many escape attention?

  2. "You can't fix stupid..." once it becomes a government program, anyways. Just look at "immigration".

  3. This would be funnier if we didn't have to subsidize it. Like Bugs Bunny would've said, "what a maroon".

  4. Doesn't anybody besides me find it more than a little EERIE that spies for the Postal Workers Union Welfare Program -- or whatever the hell it calls itself -- watch GAME SHOWS to see if they can catch welfare recipients in a lie?

It's beyond bizarre if you ask me.

Apparently the only safe place left is the GRAVE -- and even that may be robbed or desecrated unless you've been smart enough to have yourself incinerated and scattered to the four winds.

  5. Good ole Ben Franklin used to love reading everyone's mail back in the days when he was a Post Master... although Parliament didn't much care for his antics at the time.

Bush Is More Popular than Obama!
    Yes you read this correctly!

In a Gallup tracking poll released Tuesday, and written by John Nolte, former-President George W. Bush currently stands with a favorability rating of 49%, compared to 46% who see the 43rd president unfavorably. Meanwhile, another Gallup poll shows President Obama with only a 47% approval rating, with 44% disapproving. If you think about it, this makes perfect sense. After all, Obama fooled everyone when he ran as the anti-Bush in 2008. Everyone thought Obama meant he would be less hawkish than his predecessor. But as we have seen, Obama apparently has no problem killing American citizens.
Read it and weep Shaw Kewane, Dave Miller, Flying Jackass.

Lets hope that this will make the liberal/progressive Bush-bashers´ heads explode

  8. You would not believe the number of people who fraud worker's comp, etc. and this is not a new thing, it has been going on for years and years.

Insurance companies have investigators who will follow some who have claimed injury on the job or otherwise, get video of them working at home, working another job, whatever, and thus take that to court and not only get the payments stopped but sometimes sue for fraud and try to recoup the money.

With the government abuse like this I don't hear anything about this type investigation going on.
