See Which of the Three Scandals Will Hurt Obama the Most? over at Capitol Commentary.

Your thoughts about the above?

  1. First, let me say I love seeing Breitbart remembered like that on that site.

Secondly, I believe the IRS scandal is the worst. Benghazi is awful, people died and their families don't know why and, I don't care HOW libs want to paint it as 'old news', we can't let diplomats in the field feel we don't have their backs and until they hear what really happened, they'll feel that way. Heck, maybe when/if they hear what REALLY happened, they'll never feel safe again....but I digress.

When a government hits on ONE GROUP, half of America, that's HUGE.....a gov't with that kind of power is frightening....

The AP/James Rosen story is huge, too, but that's a happy huge because the media's waking up; let's hope it doesn't go to sleep on this story because we need Americans to know what this gov't is doing to our freedoms.

But ...IRS...worst story, most hurtful to the White House. How can it not be?

  2. Z,
Yesterday, there was another changed narrative -- about the IRS. The WaPo has the story HERE:

The White House offered a new account Monday of how and when it learned that the Internal Revenue Service had improperly targeted conservative groups, saying that some senior officials were informed of the findings but that President Obama was not.

The assertions came as the White House struggled to contain a political uproar over the IRS, which targeted conservative organizations for extra scrutiny, as well as over the administration’s aggressive pursuit of journalists in leak investigations and its handling of the deadly attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in September.

White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler told White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough and other top officials about the IRS findings nearly a month ago, press secretary Jay Carney said Monday. Ruemmler decided the information should not be transmitted to the president because the IRS inspector general’s report was not finished, he said.

So, with regard to Obama himself, it will come down to a question familiar to those of us who lived through the Watergate Era: What did he know, and when did he know it?

  3. In the end it may be the AP story. If it moves the press to a wake up call, it just might give coverage to this evil regime. Nothing like having ones own ox gored.

  4. Z,
I wouldn't discount too much the matters of the AP and Rosen.

I read yesterday that the AP is now considering legal action.

If the mainstream liberal media is angry enough, the floodgates will open. The media downplayed or did not report much about Obama because the msm were carrying water for Obama.

  5. Bunkerville,
    Thank you for your input.

If the msm turn on Obama, he's going to have MAJOR problems because he will then be under the microscope, the microscope that some liberals will pay attention to. As we all know, liberals discount EVERTHING on Fox News.

  7. None of them.

    1. Benghazi was strictly kabuki for Rollo. It's all over except for a few tired rabies radio jocks.

    2. IRS is not a scandal at all. The Supreme Court gave the green light to turn these groups into money laundering outfits and that's what happened (Reference here)
So a pile of these applications got a look and it took a while.
I've yet to see a report of any group that was denied the non profit status.
The reporting is certainly of Breitbart quality.

    3. AP - notice that this one has disappeared and Boner went along making excuses for the administration. This is instructive but we won't learn.

Anyone remember the two mouth breathers from Oklahoma(Coburn and Inhofe) trying to block Hurricane Sandy aid? My bet is it's not going to make Breitfart News when those two hypocrites put their hands out for aid for tornado damage.
    Republicans are a stitch.

  8. I'm curious how you expect to "hurt" a lame duck?

Other than getting full approval for the Keystone pipeline what is he trying to do in the next couple years anyway?

He's allowed corporate America to pretty much steal anything not laid down. What's left? Did you expect him to attempt to get behind progressive legislation?

  9. I agree with Bunkerville. Directly or indirectly it is the AP story that shocked the MSM into reporting on that scandal and the other two.

  11. I'm not sure any of the scandals will hurt Obama, nor Hillary. This is very unfortunate seeing how such brave Americans were allowed to be slaughtered in Benghazi. Americans who wanted their voices heard in politics were impeded by the IRS. And journalists trying to do their job are called criminals.

  12. To be honest, I believe they are all pretty bad However, Obama has such vile lap-dogs that they will protect him no matter what he does.

Lives have been irrevocably damaged and this administration does give a care in the world.

  13. I know that some like Rush and some don't but he said something interesting recently. He contends that the American People will not allow the first [black] President to be impeached (at least to the point of losing office) no matter what he has or hasen't done. He says that our best shot is to focus on maintaining the House and rescuing the Senate from the likes of [undertaker] Reid (my words). While I'd love to see B.O. join the unemployed, I think Rush makes a valid point.

OK, Ducky blather something about this!

  14. Jon,

Rush may be bombastic and wildly effusive, BUT I've never known him to be wrong. I have always like him great deal. I don't listen as much as I used to, but I try to catch the first twenty-minutes to half-hour of his show as often as I can.

I think it's a MISTAKE for any serious-minded Conservative NOT to listen to Rush at least once in a while.

There would ever have BEEN a modern conservative Movement if it hadn't been for Rush.

  16. Well Berg, I shouldn't have to state the obvious but I am dealing with fringe right wingers.

To be impeached he has to commit a crime. Got it?

Benghazi? A crime? Please stop now.

IRS - some lower level employees decide to do their job and investigate Bagger tax status? Pitch till you win and keep listening to Glenn beck.

Since the Patriot Act it has become damn near impossible to challenge the president on matters of "homeland security". Please don't pretend you were not part of that fiasco.
But when you hold up Andrew Breitfart, (m)Ann Coulter, Talent on Loan from Synthetic Morphine and the rest of the menagerie as news sources it's pretty clear the fringe right doesn't care about reportage.
You just want some ginned up scandal.

The fringe right is a dangerous sad joke.

  20. BS, Why don't you follow your own advice and act like an adult?

In case you haven't noticed, this isn't your blog and you're not wanted or in charge. What you want means nothing here so be gone foul spirit to whatever circle of hell you inhabit.

I've said it before but not to you, to you the internet is only the modern equivalent of the rotary phone and you are simply the modern version of an obscene phone caller. You can't annoy and insult people on the telephone anymore because its too easily traced.

You resort to the internet for its false sense of anonymity. But evidently you don't realize that every time you comment you leave more information about yourself.

Go away, I've wasted enough time on you as it is.
