  1. We can only wait to see if this is going to be bad or not.

    I hope for the latter.

  2. This is truly so sad. I pray for the best, but I honestly fear the worst for the Japanese and perhaps the rest of us eventually. The end times are nearer than we can imagine.

  3. I saw a picture today of a worker scanning a small child for radiation exposure. That was a sad picture.

I saw that picture, too, but didn't have the heart to post it.

  6. Nuclear energy is cheap and usually safe, but earthquakes combined with a tidal wave violates the design rules. I pray for Japan and her people because it seems that a worst case scenario is emerging.

  8. I fear that this is going to be worse than they Japanese are letting on. That being said, I will be happy to be wrong.

  9. I just got up and logged on.

The situation in Japan is growing worse:

High levels of radiation leaked from a crippled nuclear plant in tsunami-ravaged northeastern Japan after a third reactor was rocked by an explosion Tuesday and a fourth caught fire in a dramatic escalation of the 4-day-old catastrophe. The government warned 140,000 people nearby to stay indoors to avoid exposure....

According to one Japanese official, there is a very high risk of the release of more radiation.

  10. Really sad what's happened there, I think though the world media needs to back off and let the Japanese handle this. I keep hearing hysterical reports of possible danger but the authorities are not ordering any mass fleeing.
