The Slippery Slope

From Stop using ISIL footage, Obama administration asks networks (dated May 13, 2015):
Frustrated that coverage of the war against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant isn’t reflecting reality on the ground, senior Obama administration officials are urging television networks to update their footage of the radical militant group.
Read the rest HERE.

Hot on the heels of the above May 13, 2015 link come the White House's statement that this administration's strategy to defeat the rising caliphate is working and these photos showing ISIS's celebration of the May 17, 2015 fall of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar Province in Iraq (hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance for the photos below):

George W. Bush's 2007 Statement

On July 12, 2007 (hat tip to Infidel Bloggers Alliance):

Text of the speech, in case that the above video again becomes unavailable:
To begin withdrawing before our commanders tell us we are ready would be dangerous for Iraq, for the region and for the United States.

It would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to al Qaida. It would mean that we’d be risking mass killings on a horrific scale. It would mean we’d allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan. It would mean increasing the probability that American troops would have to return at some later date to confront an enemy that is even more dangerous.
GWB wasn't always right. Not by a long shot. The above statement from George W. Bush now seems prophetic, however.

August 8, 2014, On The Gathering Storm

I rarely post the audio of a particular edition of The Gathering Storm Radio Show, broadcast live and via podcast by Blog Talk Radio every Friday. The last edition of the show, however, is worthy of its own separate blog post.

Last Friday, Iraqi exile IQ al Rassoli and I discussed the recent bombing of ISIS ordered by Barack Hussein Obama. Please listen to the first 8 minutes of the show:

The Caliphate Rising

Back in January 2006, I published this at my first blog site. Excerpt:
From "Reunified Islam: Unlikely but Not Entirely Radical: Restoration of Caliphate, Attacked by Bush, Resonates With Mainstream Muslims," front-page article in the January 14, 2006 edition of the Washington Post....
I concluded my blog post with this paragraph:
Are we standing before an abyss which we cannot comprehend and refuse to admit the very existence of?
Now, in 2014, Iraq seems to be falling to the jihadists.  $15 billion of our treasure, some 4000 dead American military personnel, and much blood spilled.  For what?

Syria aroil.

A dead U.S. ambassador in Libya.

Various jihad attacks popping up all over the place.

Five Taliban commanders traded for one PFC.

"The Arab Spring," with whatever purpose it began, represents the push to establish a worldwide caliphate, something for which the majority of Muslims yearn.

And Obama has sent numerous signals that have served to embolden jihad.

Islam respects The Strong Man, and Obama has clearly indicated that he is not A Strong Man.

Clearly, the caliphate establishers are winning.

How long before we face another 9/11 here on our soil?

Not to worry, though. Obama says (June 11, 2014), and his supporters nod their heads in agreement:
[T]he truth of the matter is that for all the challenges we face, all the problems that we have, if you had to be — if you had to choose any moment to be born in human history, not knowing what your position was going to be, who you were going to be, you’d choose this time. The world is less violent than it has ever been....
Talk about delusion! Or is it something else?
