  1. Warren, thanks for posting the funnies.

  2. I never agreed with the fairness of women's frustration with men not lowering the toilet seat.

The man, out of courtesy, is supposed to be aware and lift the seat. The woman however, is irritated that she must be aware and simply tip the seat downward with a fingertip while having gravity as an assistant.

    1. CNN breathlessly reports that due to home testing and people not reporting their cases, the action number of cases could be "10 times higher than the official count!"

      Delete
    2. But wait. That’s actually good news.

As it stands, the “case fatality rate” — which is the ratio of deaths to reported COVID cases — is currently running at around 0.3%. If the actual number of cases is 10 times the reported number of cases, that means the “case fatality rate” is more like 0.03%. For perspective, the case fatality rate for the flu is said to be about 0.1%.

    3. Why are we still acting like everyone is at equal risk from COVID, when out of more than 1 million COVID deaths recorded in the United States, only 538 involve children under age 4, and just 1,195 are between ages 5 and 18, according to the CDC? Why isn’t the public being told that those over 65, who make up less than 17% of the population, constitute 75% of the reported COVID deaths?

Why are public officials still pushing vaccines on infants? Why do we still see children in public places wearing masks when they are far more likely to die from drowning than COVID?

    8. So, far the best defense against Covid is getting sick and recovering from it. Meanwhile I know people who gambled on shooting that syphilis and antifreeze cocktail miscalled a "vaccine" into their veins that have come down with Covid three to five times since.

There's not going to be enough people like me that avoided the vaccine to bury the dead. At least I can attend the funerals of the mutated dead now.

Not sure who "we" are (red team?) but possibly because a few spins and self proclaimed gotchas don't come close to exonerating the worst offenders.

Meanwhile, whata week. 528,000 new jobs, gas prices continue to drop, Jones admission that Sandy Hook wasn't a false flag after all- while dumping 2 years of text in J6C's lap, a KS abortion reckoning, GOP scraping Veterans bill egg off their faces, polls shift 5 House seats for Dems, Joe takes out Zawahiri, Sinema a go for another historical bill, the Kavanaugh (R) FBI investigation looks to be another Trump/GOP scam, uninsured rate fell to an all time low, the CHIPS and Science Act, DeathSantis goes full throttle autocrat, and Tucker Carlson says Jon Stewart is too short to date.

    14. OK Ronald, lets play your little game...

Of course new jobs continue to be created after governments across the nation crashed the economy.

Gas prices continue to drop. So, since the price spike was "Putin's price hike," is this Putin's price cut? And if Dems really want to brag about gas at $4+/gallon, I'd love to see them run on that this fall.

Never been an Alex Jones fan.

Is the J6C still a thing???

I have already stated most people, including the religious and conservative, and not abortion extremists, and Kansas just proved it. So will Dems stop the fearmongering now?

GOP scraping Veterans bill egg off their faces, and I damned them for it

Polls??? The election is 3 months out and the only poll that matters is the one where people vote.

Joe takes out Zawahiri Joe fired that shot? Wow

...and the rest of it is just msnbc regurgitated blather...

    15. Ronald,

People are voting with their feet

Look on the bright side. At least blue states have the abortion tourism market locked up...

      Delete
    16. SF, of course you and I know sitting presidents have little to do with the price of gas and they don't go into war zones to shoot ruthless enemies.

I don't even blame Trump for the economic mess that was left for Biden.

Thing is, this "free speech and free scientific inquiry team" you speak of shouts inflation and gas prices as a response to most everything.

I'm not going to predict what will happen in Nov but it should be a Democratic bloodbath. Yet, the free speech and free scientific inquiry team are doing everything they can to screw it up and running batshit crazy candidates while Dems are making gains.

If you don't know if J6C is still a thing, you ain't looking.

And I'll agree that blue states such as MA, CA, NY are going to have more people still struggling from COVID mandates than red states such as UT or MI.

Speaking of which, wasn't that somewhat of an actual admission of the Trump team at 1 time-that denying aid to blue states would be politically advantageous as they could blame Democratic mayors and governors for death increases? How many of the "free speech and free scientific inquiry team" called them out for such a sinister suggestion?

Looks like DeathSantis is the rising darling of this "free speech and free scientific inquiry team".

Do you seriously take yourself serious?

    17. Ronald, you clearly do not know who I am referring to when I say the "free speech and free scientific inquiry team," but that's OK. I can tell by your comments you consume your information from very narrow leftwing nutball outlets like msnbc, raw story, etc.

    18. Trump does come in for some blame. He is so brutish and bullying on so many issues, but he allowed the Fauci bureaucrats to cow him into accepting their horrific regime of lockdowns, school closures, throwing millions out of work and destroying local businesses.

He stood by--uncharacteristically muted--and let all that happen.

Federal, state and local governments carried out a gigantic and horrific Broken Windows Theory during the covid panic they fomented.

Ask Adam Smith. Sure, when you destroy thousands of businesses, throw millions out of work, effectively smashing every window in the nation, yeah, once the politburo gives people some freedoms back, there will be a recovery, albeit a jacked up one with high inflation stoked by government handing out trillions, and economic worry.

All of this destruction and chaos, all of it, was due to government malfeasance.

      Delete
    19. "Ronald, you clearly do not know who I am referring to when I say the "free speech and free scientific inquiry team," but that's OK."

From what you've told me SF, the "free speech and free scientific inquiry team", who you define as "we", are the "ones being attacked for spreading misinformation when the worst offenders have been government officials and the mainstream press". And they're not the "Red Team " but are the folks "the government and its lackey progressive proletariat have been screaming at and attempting to shut down and silence".

So they're not the red team but it sounds like the blue team don't much care for them.

So yeah, I guess I'm a bit muddled as to who you're referring to.

Unfortunately, this self-castrating ignorance is all too common now.

I am a Christian, but I do not discount atheists Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, and Richard Dawkins. Most of the information I consume comes from educated free-thinking liberals who either deny God, or don't pay much creedence to the concept.

    30. SF, I mentioned DeathSantis as a profound example of the "free speech for me but not for thee" movement of today's so-called conservatives in power.

As I recall, you pretty much nodded in agreement when he used his powers to punish a corporation who spoke out against his policies. When the Tampa Bay Rays used their free speech on guns, he vetoed a $35 million legislation meant for a new training and sports facility. And now he fired a duly elected official because he didn't like what he said.

DeathSantis isn't an isolated case. We saw four years of Trump's assaults on the freedom of the press. And then after whining on and on about deplatforming, is now blocking content on his Truth Social page.

Trump's even campaigning on firing ten of thousands of apolitical civil service workers if they don't find them loyal to them.

And it's not like Trump is an isolated case. This is what so-called conservative in power have evolved into.

These guys may be telling you they're pro-free speech just like they tell you they're pro-worker but it just isn't so. Their new level of extremism doesn't allow it.

    32. The BMT is a $313 billion tax increase, with half of the increase falling on manufacturers, according to the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation. Despite proponents’ claims, the book minimum tax does not close tax loopholes. The BMT is calculated based on financial statement (“book”) income, which is a different set of rules established for an entirely different purpose than taxable income.

Claims that the BMT closes loopholes ignore the fact that the provisions resulting in different book and tax treatment were specifically enacted by Congress for sound policy reasons. For example, the treatment of capital investments differs for book and tax purposes, in part to encourage companies to invest in capital assets in the United States. As the left-leaning Tax Policy Center acknowledges, the BMT would discourage investment.

According to a study by the National Association of Manufacturers, in 2023 alone the effects would include:

A real GDP reduction of $68.45 billion
218,108 fewer workers in the overall economy
      A labor-income decrease of $17.11 billion

Further, the BMT will not prevent large companies from paying zero tax. The energy tax provisions included in the “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” would permit companies to receive those tax credits in excess of their tax liability. In other words, not only will companies in Democrat-favored industries be able to pay zero tax, some will even be able to receive taxpayer-funded subsidies in excess of tax due for engaging in an activity that has been picked for government handouts.

    33. I don't want companies to invest money in their businesses... I want them to spend it on ever more expensive and useless energy products to boost the profits of high ESG rated companies.

Bring you head up for some air. It doesn't matter 1 iota of how well Disney or TBR survived. The fact is that a state governor used his position to punished them for the sole reason of using their free speech to voice their objections to legislative policies.

"Stop yapping about DeSantis, Trump etc, and answer my question. What have I said or done that is anti-speech?"

    7. It's what Berlin termed "the unavoidability of conflicting ends" or, alternatively, the "incommensurability" of values. He once called this "the only truth which I have ever found out for myself... Some of the Great Goods cannot live together.... We are doomed to choose, and every choice may entail an irreparable loss." In short, it's what Michael Ignatieff summarized as "the tragic nature of choice".

  8. A video posted by the Twitter account of Liberals of TikTok has once again ignited the ire of concerned parents and citizens across social media. The video in question features a young boy dancing on a stripper pole at a Pennsylvania pride event, while a half-naked man and other spectators cheer him on.

The TikTok video, posted by an account which calls itself @realfatworls***, features a young boy, who appears to be about 11 or 12 years in age, wearing a rainbow-colored tutu skirt, tube socks, a t-shirt, and a rainbow-colored headband. The boy takes several turns twirling his body around the pole, while others clap and cheer.

The caption on the video itself reads, "Central PA Pride had a pole set up with an amazing instructor to assist. My kiddo is a natural!" suggesting that @realfatworls*** is one of the boy's parents.

Libs of TikTok also noted — as did the website for the Pride Festival of Central Pennsylvania — that Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf wrote a letter expressing his support for the event. In the letter, Wolf described it as an "example of conviction, compassion, and camaraderie [which] will inspire others for years to come."
