    1. Speaking of Fauci and monkeys... the CDC is now pretending that monkey pox isn't running rampant throughout the gay community after two big Gay Pride "raves" in Spain and Belgium. They don't want to "stigmatize" anyone, so they've included the word "vagina" in the advisories but omitted the specific risks to GAY men... hmmmmmmm. Isn't THAT helpful.

    5. Ed that is lucacris! Fauci is gone - he reminds me of the mad scientist. As to Musk, he has Aspergers so he is a little more or less touched by an angel compared to the rest of us folks so for me Musk gets a pass. He at least openly stated when asked if he believed in God that he believed in God and Jesus as the Son of God (paraphrased). So Musk should not even be in the same sentences with Fauci. Fauci is a crook, a liar, a cheat, and a mad scientist with evil, evil intent.

  2. What is it about these Socialist, Progressive, Communist, Liberal- Democrats who seem to constantly be on the side of the criminals and not the victims and who refuse to prosecute these Illegally owned Gun Owners that commit these Gun -Related Crimes while they are CONSTANTLY trying to disarm Law-Abiding, Licensed Citizens?

And WHY are so meny of these Democratic Politicians behind the Insane, District Attorneys, and Judges, that are Soft-on-crime Policies such as the New York’s, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and other Progressive Prosecutors in these idiotic Democratic Cities ? We FINALLY Got Rid of that Creep Andrew Cuomo and he was replaced with his Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, who is “Almost” as bad as he was.

And if that’s not enough, It is absolutely sickening that so many of our Colleges and Universities across the United States have become “INFESTED” with the Madness of these Liberal "Professors" who indoctrinate our Children’s welfare.

I can remember when “Fighting Crime” was a good idea.
Now “Smash and Grab” seem to be happening all over the country.
In California they sit there and just watch and these Creeps walk right into stores with Big Black Plastic Bags and walk out with Television Sets, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!
And Chicago Mayor Lightfoot is blaming the rise in ‘smash and grabs’ on the retailers. saying that the retailers “need to do a better job of protecting their merchandise.” That my friends is an example of the Liberal Mentality!
How Stupid are the people of Chicago to keep on electing someone like that !

Aside from the fact that there are no Democratic policies or legislations "trying to disarm Law-Abiding, Licensed Citizens", there's also been a shift on young gun totters being groomed by you guys to take up arms and shoot up those they consider undesirables. Yes, he likely realized that the Democrats would subsequently frame his advice to the president as "conspiratorial" once Pence backed down and attempt to punish all the advisors close to Trump, Giuliani included. The closest you can get to a comparison would be the nail biter of 2000, which Gore ultimately accepted the court's ruling.

Unlike Gore, the guy you still support lost biggly while grooming you for 4 years that if he lost it would be rigged.

    6. RJW... most interesting to me was Eastman was asked if Gore had the same power to just change the Constitutional system in the House in 2000 after that contested election.

      He said no.

He was also asked if Kamala Harris would have that same power in 2024.

      Again, he said no.

That's a man who really believes in his principles. Enough to defend them even when others with whom you disagree, use them...

      Delete
    7. -FJ... conservatives for years have stood on the principle of "if you don't like the law, change the law."

Once President Trump knew the idea to seat different electors for the 2020 elections was illegal, and the evidence right now, unless everyone who was in the room is lying, is overwhelming, any suggestion to do so was illegal. A crime.

      Against the law.

You may not like the law, you may even disagree with the law, but that is the law. Legally, how do you get around that? MLK did not like the laws he was subjected to, he went to jail. Same for Susan McDougal. Same for Paul Manafort. And many others.

      Delete
    8. RJW... speaking of Eastman, let's remember that for some reason, he also felt a need to take the Fifth and refuse to answer over 100 questions from the House Committee.

In light of Fmr President Trump's quote and apparently his beliefs regarding the Fifth... "“So there are five people taking the Fifth Amendment. Like you see on the mob, right? You see the mob takes the Fifth. If you’re innocent why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

Why would Eastman, if he is not guilty, take the Fifth?

      Delete
    9. Dave, having clerked for Thomas and his other credentials, I'm sure Eastman knows his way around the court room.

If anything has become obvious, it's that Trump, Trumpism, and the evolving culture and entire network he's created, have absolutely no concern in the integrity of the legal system but rather how to BEAT the legal system. We've seen this repeatedly. That's who they are.

    10. On this date, a Joint Session of the 44th Congress (1875–1877) met for the first time to count the electoral votes in the 1876 presidential election. Democrat Samuel Tilden had emerged from the close election leading Republican Rutherford B. Hayes of Ohio, just one vote shy of the 185 needed to win. However, returns from Louisiana, Florida, South Carolina, and Oregon remained in dispute. The southern tallies were particularly controversial. Both Tilden and Hayes electors submitted votes from these three states, each claiming victory in violent and confused elections. The Democratic controlled House and the Republican dominated Senate came to a compromise on how to resolve the problem by creating an Electoral Commission: a bipartisan committee of House Members, Senators, and Supreme Court Justices who would determine the final disposition of the yet-unassigned electoral votes. The February 1 Joint Session first put the commission to work, submitting the Florida returns for investigation before a large crowd in the gallery. “There was a great desire to witness a fair count,” reported the New York Times, “and curiosity was increased by the expectation that the new law would afford some new diversion to the formality of the counting.” Congress met in a Joint Session 15 times in the next month, until—acting on the decision of the commission—it awarded the disputed vote to Hayes, granting him the victory by one vote.

Was Tilden charged with treason? Oh, wait... he was a Democrat. Of course not...

Republican nominee for secretary of state is Jim Marchant, a far right wing extremist election denier who said he would not have certified Biden’s 2020 win.

Republicans openly stating they will not seat a Democrat are winning primaries in state after state under a premise that if they win, they cheat-regardless of evidence. Simply being a Democrat disqualifies them because Democrats cheat.

    19. -FJ... I assume you know that the current Electoral Count Act was passed a a direct result of the Hayes-Tilden problems.

And it pretty much solved our problems until 1960 when President Eisenhower called in VP Nixon to disregard it and essentially claim the presidency himself.

Nixon, in perhaps his finest moment, stood in the well and denounced that idea as anathema to all that America believed in, affirming our history and tradition of an orderly and peaceful transition.

So to recap... once the ECA was passed, in 1887, the law changed making what the Trump Admin was calling for, illegal.

Now we all know you make clever posts online, which is prima facie evidence that you're furtive and wouldn't tell us you are a world vodka drinking serial arsonist. We're going to keep harassing you until you confess. Please, everyone, fund my laptop on a yacht efforts to get to the bottom of why there is no evidence that FJ is a serial arsonist.

    65. True. But there is another razor that says those in power will often do ANYTHING to remain in power... and DJT isn't the first, nor will he be the last, to attempt to do so. So did Richard Daly rig Chicago's election system? Have the Democrats, who have controlled their districts for decades, rigged theirs? And why are they so upset when the voters begin to question the premise as to the fairness of our elections?

Long before the 2020 mail in Covid ballot fiasco, the system was, "show up on election day and cast your vote on a paper ballot".... and that "system" was meant to replicate the Roman system when the legions formed on the campus martius and then re-formed behind their "votes" leaders. All could then see the results for themselves. THAT simple (and now considered "unfair") system has been compromised by the "fairness" of being conducted over weeks and many forms, in-person/absentee, etc. It's time to go back to the campus martius, and a little so-called fairness exchanged for certainty in the will of the people.

  5. I'm returning to a previous theme...
I saw this article recently in Axios.

As we in the west grapple with the drought and the effects on the Colorado River system, consider this quote from one of the directors of the Southern Nevada Water Authority...

"About 80% of the Colorado River is used for agriculture and '80% of that 80% is used for forage crops like alfalfa,' which is mostly grown for cattle..."

No recommendations, just a statement. In effect, what we are learning is that the great majority of water taken out of the system is to flood irrigate crops used to feed cattle.

    Thoughts??

    14. -FJ, your comments on the water situation out west are at best, uninformed. The problem in the Colorado River system is not people living in the desert.

It is Big Ag overusing that resource to cheaply feed America.

The bill is coming due for the entire country.

As water in the system continues to drop and Lake Powell and Mead become dead pools, we will see what is going to happen.

Thankfully water managers here anticipated that reality and years ago installed a "third straw" at the lowest point of Mead, guaranteeing years of water for the Vegas Valley.

So while agriculture, electricity and other areas will suffer, we should be good for at least another 25 years or so, long after I'll be gone.

Bottom line... if we want to conserve water, fewer homes and fewer casinos won't make much of an impact. Cutting allocations to agriculture is where the future will lie.

      Impacting the entire nation.

My comments are ALWAYS legitimate And proven to be right, and yet YOU (whoever is in charge of this blog) always delete them!
My thoughts maybe length reaction to respond to another accusing me of being a token Republican. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve heard that type of slur. I spoken out because I am gravely concerned for our future if we ignore either type of so called “White”supremacy — both of which are rooted in racism or discrimination against us Republicans. .

Criticism has included the suggestion that I and other Republicans just don’t come here to this CLOSED CONVERSATION of these “Elite” Progressives who constantly come here and spread their LIES, and Bull-CRAP. This bag of LIES, and Bull is what I call “WOKE SUPREMACY”. It is what the left’s intolerance does for dissent. It is the progressive conception of diversity that does not include diversity of thought. It is discrimination falsely marketed as truth!
When you give people, and or groups the license for a person or group of people to discriminate, or to spread false information otherwise known as LIES , you give license for everyone to discriminate. Dividing society along racial lines, or political lines is everything leaders in the civil rights era fought against. But is seems to be alright, and accepted on blogs such as this one when you only allow comments form your "Special" posters....

Posts are written here to illicit comments. Like those comments or not it is what it is. AOW has also made sure her blog is a safe place and I come because even if I receive no comments to my comments because people here find the comments and me irrelevant I know AOW reads them and respects the regardless if she agrees or not.

Perhaps we all need to learn a less from AOW and her ability to show patience and tolerance when it is NOT DESERVED.
