    1. Title of the video: "Democrats Sit Stunned as MTG Discusses "New Facts" That Have Come Out on Jan. 6." Worth the 9 minutes!

      Delete
    2. As MTG points out, the Democrats seek to "mystify" and "mythologize" the events of Jan. 6. Clarity and an exposition of all the facts relating to events at the Capitol would be contrary to their purposes.

      -FJ.

It's one thing to not watch it but it's another to remain uninformed of it. Most who refused to watch it have been programmed to not watch or read anything that gives it a constructive assessment..

And so they turn to the spinmeisters and gullible groomers.
The batshit crazies like MAGAnut and Qanon queen "frazzledrip" promoting Marjorie Toddler Greene who claims that laser beams are shot from outer space by Jews to start CA forest fires and has promoted executing political opponents doesn't deserve consideration on any front.

But rather than wailing on about mistreating those innocent tourist on a peaceful stroll (while at the same time, chastising Dems for not protecting the capital) here's a couple takeaways worth consideration: Trump's further exposure of a connection and influence of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers AND documentation that multiple Republican lawmakers asked Trump for pardons immediately after the attempted coup.

Those are incriminating points. Why would these lawmakers ask for pardons? But if you want to rely on alternative facts and swig the Tucker tea, I guess they're not that bad.

      Delete
    4. Why would these lawmakers ask for pardons?

The Trump rule is that anyone taking the 5th is guilty.....so asking for a pardon must be proof positive.

    5. Trump's Team Kraken couldn't produce legal evidence of a stolen election, so it's appropriate the Democrat party response would be a mirror-image nothingburger.

The trouble with accepting a pardon is that it is legally a tacit admission of guilt, as the Russian FSB asset Gen. Michael Flynn will attest when he's not out and about advocating civil war for money.

      Delete
    7. Gee, I wonder why the BLM insurrectionists had a pre-paid bail fund from '20-'21. Sounds like an admission of both intent and guilt...

      Sheesh.

      Delete
    15. Ed, it wasn't that the courts wouldn't hear it but rather there was none to present.

Don't confuse the lying belching of Trump, Trump's lawyers, Rudy, Hannity, and on and on with "evidence". They can legally stand there and spoon feed you that horseshit from dust till dawn until it's the only taste you know but they can't try to sell it under oath to a judge because they'd be disbarred or criminally charged.

He failed in the lower courts and appeals courts because he had no case. All 9 Supremes, the court he stacked, agreed there was nothing there.

One of the most puzzling things to me is that Trump groomed his basket of gullibles for 4 years going from Klan rally to Klan rally making statements such as "because the only way we’re going to lose this election is if the election is rigged”. He stacked the courts with admissions of needing them in order to insure his victory in case he lost.

He made it clear. He made it obvious. He took actions to insure it. He told us over and aver again that he would not accept a loss.

His very own people didn't buy it. His hand picked courts didn't. Bill Burr didn't. Kevin McCarthy didn't.

And then came "just find me 11.780 votes" and I could fill this page with more.

It's beyond me how people who seem to be of reasonable intelligence can actually buy into such obvious horseshit.

But I suppose it really shouldn't come as any surprise as we've seen it with weapons of mass destruction, Mexico paying for a wall or even the feasibility of a wall, death panels, laser beams, etc. etc. What's 1 more Big Lie?.

It centered on the Capitol itself... and all the groups that had been largely been infiltrated by DOJ/FBI... groups like those who directed the "trial run" Whitmer coup in Michigan, whose funding levels SOARED after Jan. 6.

She is correct that the rally was a distance from the Capital attack but that doesn't prove or disprove a connection.

That's why we have congressional investigations, to get to the bottom of what happened and why. Again, this is obviously something Trump and Republicans leaders don't want the American public to find out.

      Delete
    32. There's an investigation? It looks more like a Show Trial. An investigation would have included Jim Jordan, et al, and not a priori seeded the Committee with partisan Never-Trumpers on the Republican side who've lost all credibility with the vast majority of Republican voters (ala Liz Cheney).

But please. Get back to your media hyper-normalized political hyper-reality. I haven't had this much fun watching the surrealism of the applied paranoiac critical method in action since Salvador Dali. What do you see in this painting, RJW? Is it Trump?

  2. It is both shameful and disgusting that the New York City Democrat Party Leadership has decided to allow Foreigners to Vote as if they were New York, American Citizens. Now tell me the Democrat Party Leadership has the best interests of New York City citizens in mind.

You just can’t make this crap up. The Democrat Party Leadership, that was once for the hard working American citizens and their families, has now GONE COMPLETELY MAD.

I have to wonder what has happened to the Democratic Party that my Parents always voted with? And will the people keep voting those idiots in? Don’t they see that they get what they voted for? For example Bill Di Blasio, Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler, Eric Adams, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Andrew Cuomo, and the rest of those CROOKED Bunch.
I'm wondering how constitutional it is for a non Citizen to vote in any American election? And if it is, then WHAT HAVE WE COME TO?

It’s sad, and shameful that a person could be so stupid as to allow anything like this.
SO, WE DO GET WHAT WE ASK FOR!

It was astonishing to see the word "carnage," as in "The carnage of Jan 6th," employed so often by so many hysterical people in so short a period of time. One person shot by one bullet is a very long way short of carnage.

    1. Jayhawk... I think the number of Capitol Police who were injured, suffered broken bones, cracked skulls and lost fingers defending the building from the mob might disagree with you.

Fearing for their lives as ppl spoke of killing the Speaker of the House, hanging the Vice President and Fu^#ing the place up, those officers were brutalized.

      Delete
    2. @Dave - While I'd argue that the 'back the blue' narrative was exposed to be utter bovine excrement.....I would still say that this event doesn't rise to the level of 'carnage'. We have a disturbing, and increasing habit, of jumping to the extreme with our choice of words. All that does is cheapen the definition. Uvalde was carnage. While embarrassing and pathetic, Capitol Hill was not.

      Delete
    3. CI... yeah, I hear what you're saying. If everything is carnage, then what? Carnage squared? Carnage on steroids?

While some may jump to "over" carnage, others tend to go low and minimize. It just seemed to me that Jayhawk was trying to minimize or even dismiss the injuries of hundreds of officers who themselves testified that they felt like they were in an ongoing brutal battle.

But kudos to you. Darn few of the folks from the right seem willing to even go as far as you did in your comments regarding "back the blue" and the events of 1/6.

Seriously, how can any GOP/Conservative/Republican/Right Leaning person even think of hammering us lefties for not supporting police when they refuse to admit that so many officers were attacked, brutally beaten and injured on 1/6?

And not by BLM/Antifa lefties, but by fellow conservatives.

Have they not seen the tapes? Do they think it is all made up? Are all those officers in on the conspiracy? And their doctors? And all the rest of the staffs at the various hospitals to where they were taken?

Or are they just choosing to ignore it because it makes "their side" look bad?

  7. The opening hearing of the January 6 Committee was riveting, especially Rep. Liz Cheney and the way she laid out the case against Trump.
Her message was clear: TRUMP DID THIS.

I was worried there would not be enough emphasis on his guilt.
The committee needs to pound that home over and over.
Now I understand why FAUX would not air this damning evidence.

That was an indictment of Trump, whose hunger for power & inability to accept he'd lost was his only guiding light. Maybe not a criminal indictment, but if GOP embraces him in 2024, it is hard to see a way forward for them.

Even Ivanka said the election wasn't stolen will kill him.
The anger I feel at Trump intentionally endangering the lives of EVERYONE at the Capitol on 1/6, and then placing no calls, giving no orders to send forces to defend the Capitol, with Pence having to give those orders . . . there are no words. Other than TREASON!

In Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World (1978), Girard develops the implications of this discovery. The victimary process is the missing link between the animal world and the human world, the principle that explains the humanization of primates. It allows us to understand the need for sacrificial victims, which in turn explains the hunt which is primitively ritual, and the domestication of animals as a fortuitous result of the acclimatization of a reserve of victims, or agriculture. It shows that at the beginning of all culture is archaic religion, which Durkheim had sensed. The elaboration of the rites and taboos by proto-human or human groups would take infinitely varied forms while obeying a rigorous practical sense that we can detect: the prevention of the return of the mimetic crisis. So we can find in archaic religion the origin of all political or cultural institutions.

According to Girard, just as the theory of natural selection of species is the rational principle that explains the immense diversity of forms of life, the victimization process is the rational principle that explains the origin of the infinite diversity of cultural forms. The analogy with Charles Darwin also extends to the scientific status of the theory, as each of these presents itself as a hypothesis that is not capable of being proven experimentally, given the extreme amounts of time necessary for the production of the phenomena in question, but which imposes itself by its great explanatory power.

      Origin of language

According to Girard, the origin of language is also related to scapegoating. After the first victim, after the murder of the first scapegoat, there were the first prohibitions and rituals, but these came into being before representation and language, hence before culture. And that means that "people" (perhaps not human beings) "will not start fighting again." Girard says:

If mimetic disruption comes back, our instinct will tell us to do again what the sacred has done to save us, which is to kill the scapegoat. Therefore it would be the force of substitution of immolating another victim instead of the first. But the relationship of this process with representation is not one that can be defined in a clear-cut way. This process would be one that moves towards representation of the sacred, towards definition of the ritual as ritual and prohibition as prohibition. But this process would already begin prior the representation, you see, because it is directly produced by the experience of the misunderstood scapegoat.

You know you've reached peak Trumptard when the comparisons to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's trial come out...

Any idea who'll be the next Republican Scapegoat to be sacrificed on the altar of "democracy" at the Jan. 6 hearings?

I wouldn't mind the third Senator from Virginia that for some reason sits in a Missouri Senator's seat, Josh Hawley, facing some tough questions like "why do you think you're not an idiot?"

    12. Hey, you're the one characterizing DJT as a Republican Satan, beamish. All that's wrong with the RNC rolled up in one man...

And didn't Hawley win his AG seat in MO in 2016 with over 64% of the primary vote and 58% of the general vote? He must have been "Trumpy" before "Trumpy" was cool.

    13. Oh wait, with Trump as President endorsing him in 2018, you must be upset that Claire McCaskill (D) lost. Too bad, beamish.

  15. So the Kavanaugh assassination attempt COMPLETELY ignored by THE Sunday News Talk Shows on CNN, ABC, NBC, and CBS !
I wonder if it would have been Ignored if the Republicans illegally protests in front of Pelosi’s or Schumer’s homes which Merrick Garland and his Left winged goons refuse to acknowledge and enforce the law to prevent them?
Would that be news and should the Republican’s form a committee to investigate this before the Nation on Prime Time?
I’m just wondering, and curios what their excuses are this time for not covering such IMPORTANT news!
