I have reached the same conclusion and have written a blog post on it that we'll publish sometime in the near future. Democrat and Republican are just costumes for the DC-Corporate kabuki.
Duck, I am holding off on predicting what Palin's endorsement of Trump means. The usual political rules do not seem to apply to this political cycle -- so far, anyway.
Duck, That Trump and Sanders have gained as much traction as they have speaks to several things -- not the least of which is the alienation that WE THE PEOPLE feel from our so-called elected public servants. It seems that the word "politician" is now a dirty word and a serious liability.
I doubt that Sanders will have much traction outside the Northeast. Hillary will still probably clinch the nomination. The election itself is another matter entirely.
Trump, on the other hand, will probably have the traction.
In this climate, how can Bernie lose? He promises the world to Americans now feeling entitled to everything....I heard a college kid the other night say "Why should I pay for my higher education?" A Bernie voter......and 90% taxes? This kid hasn't figured out that Daddy may not be able to keep him in jeans and pot and a dorm room if he's taxed that high. Go, Bernie! Maybe THEN Americans will wake up?

ReplyDeleteSF,
DeleteLooking forward to what you've got to say on the topic.
It's too bad that the latest Democratic debate received so little coverage, what with Moose Girl endorsing Trump.
ReplyDeleteIt's very clear that Hillary was trying to cover up what a triangulating Wall Street shill she is.
Feel the Bern.

Yes, AOW we seem to be in somewhat uncharted territory.
DeleteI'm liking Sanders' numbers in N.H. He has a stronger organization there than Her Nibs so it may not translate into further wins.
Trump? You tell me.

Z,
DeleteBernie does seem to have lots of support.
