CI made me think. I've been a father to a couple nieces, probably better than I was to my sons. But they don't complain and may be better fathers than I was to them. My dad meant more to me in the last years of his life. He was a good role model and provider, but busy. As was I. Sometimes I wonder how we survive as a race. :)
Mr. B and I forced time out of our 'busy' schedule for a long walk on the beach yesterday. It was our second 'together' activity for the day, and we both commented what a wonderful day it had been. Works in the garden too (just not the KITCHEN!!).

I didn't grow up with a father.....which is why I strive to be the best I can for my daughters. I can only hope that I hit the mark.
