I don't know what everyone else is thinking, but I'm thinking snow! Boy do I wish we had some here in Virginia! I'm originally from Chicago, so I am used to white Christmas's. But it looks like this will make 18 years here without a white Christmas. My bad side lol was thrilled when I saw there will be no snow in Chicago for Christmas. My dad when he was alive would always let me know it was snowing in Chicago. He had a wicked sense of humor and I believe he got a laugh out of my whinning about there never being enough snow for me in Northern Virgina. Oh heck I do hope you and Mrs. AOW have a white Christmas. Though at our age I think we are just grateful to see another Christmas! Love the birdies. :)
We're in Southern Indiana. I remember many a white Christmas but I know it's a lot more likely to rain and always has been. None the less, my Christmas post will be up the 23rd -that was a very memorable white Christmas- This is shaping up to be a very fine Christmas, even if it isn't white. Merry Christmas!
I totally agree with you Warren. I was so happy with all the blessings I unexpectedly received through our health insurance's reward program. I was able to get gifts for my whole family and was so happy about it I cried and thanked God. For me it has shaped up to be one of the best Christmas's I've had here. But to be honest, nothing compares to the holiday's I spent as a child with my parents. Nothing can replace that. I am so grateful I was blessed with good parents. So I am thanking God for everything. My health, the holiday, Jesus, and that you and AOW will have a very Merry Christmas.
Oh yes, have to be honest. I am still praying for a white Christmas and dusting would be wonderful. It's the small and little things that make me happy!
"The winter of death." That phrase certainly should not make me laugh, and I am deeply ashamed and absolutely mortified that it completely cracks me up.

I hope you get your wish, Elizabeth.
DeleteI, too, would like a dusting of snow for Christmas.
DeleteThank you both Warren and AOW! Will you two be bringing back your blog talk radio station? I loved being interviewed by the two of you!

The frost is so heavy here this morning that it looks like a dusting of snow!
ReplyDeleteWow the same here AOW! It was actually 25f overnight. It looked like snow here too for a New York minute! :)

ReplyDeleteNobody expects The Spanish Inquisition!
ReplyDeleteYou're off topic, Common Man. The proper place is "Get it off your Chest".

OMGosh, I do love it!
ReplyDeleteWe're having a 'pre-white' Christmas here. You know, the wet stuff before it freezes. :)
