Musical Interlude

(For politics, please scroll down)

Enjoy the theme song from the award-winning 1983 film Terms of Endearment, theme music composed by Michael Gore (1951-present), and the beautiful images accompanying the music :

Lately, when I need a few relaxing moments away from the herculean moving tasks of sorting and tossing, I play this piano arrangement of the above theme to relax my mind and body:

  1. Having the ability to play a musical instrument is a real blessing and a great stress reliever. I hope you are making good progress!

    1. SF,
Yes, I'm making progress. I actually have some empty spaces on my bookshelves!

    1. Joe,
Today, this particular movie theme is largely forgotten. But back in the day, it was popular enough to have multiple arrangements for various instruments.

  3. That is a wonderful melody; I'd forgotten. Good luck with all the work, AOW. Did you sell already?

    1. Z,
Still digging through all the stuff here. Yesterday, my younger cousin and I worked for hours in my home office/library and in the guest room on a cedar chest packed full of my mother's and grandmother's and my crocheted items. My cousin and I also reorganized the Christmas closet and cleared out items long in storage in the room's dormer. We filled up my curbside trashcans and my cousin's car.

I'm under contract and supposed to close in about a week -- on both this house where I'm living and on the house I want to purchase.

    2. Best of luck with getting those transactions over the line!

  4. Lovely and a great selection. I can appreciate the stress of it all.... I have been there and done that but not for the same extended time you have lived there and had the time to accumulate so many treasures...and other things... :)

    1. Bunkerville,
I have accumulated a lot of treasures, many of which I'm handing off to a younger generation.

I'm upsizing -- not downsizing. For years, I have put aside items for the upsizing which I knew was coming one day. But I misjudged and have too much stuff!
