  1. The SECOND NIGHT of the Republican Convention continued the unbroken chain of eloquent excellence established the first night with dignity, charm, honesty, and grace –– an exhibition of fine individuals of great character from many walks of life and levels of society demonstrating genuine enthusiasm and appreciation for the countless gracious, constructive, substantive, helpful, and heartening things President Trump has done since taking office –– things the vicious ENEMEDIA has done it best to SUPPRESS, IGNORE, DENY or VILIFY.

The appearance of beautiful TIFFANY TRUMP,something of a a Figure of Mystery who remained largely in the background thsee past four years, was a most pleasant surprise. She turned out to be notably intelligent, poised, well-spoken and a most eloquent advocate for her father both as our president, and as a man. No father could ever hope for better from an adult child.

The only flaw I could discern in the proceedings came from our First Lady, Melania Trump. She looked beautiful, behaved graciously, delivered her remarks flawlessly, and was extremely poised and credible in all her observations, BUT someone should have reminded her that "BREVITY is the SOUL of WIT." I'm sorry to have to say she went on much too long.

Young Nick Sandman, harshly pronounced guilty of smiling in the face of an obnoxious, relentless Tom-Tom Beating by a scrawny, ill-favored "Native-American," who looked like he smelled bad, probably stood out for showing courage, determination and fearlessness in pursuit of Justice for Himself as the victim of vicious, unprincipled and relentless attack from the ENEMEDIA simply for wearing a MAGA hat while attending a Pro-Life Demonstration.

Nick has already won BIG BUCKS after suing the ENEMEDIA, and stands to win even MORE, because he has been totally IN the Right as well as ON the Right. Nick, who makes a refreshingly fine, handsome, clean-cut appearance, is a GREAT Role Model for American Youth.

The commentary from Pam Bondi, the extraordinarily beautiful former Attorney General for the State of Florida, was STUNNING for its intelligence, eloquence and unabahed PRO-AMERICAN HONESTY.

Eric Trump gave a most moving tribute to his Dad as he lauded the elder Trump's astonishing array of positive achievements and numerous acts of kindness.

Tuesday night marked TWO Great Evenings unblemished by cyniism, belligrence and negativism.

I'm looking forward right this minute to enjoying a THIRD such evening.

    2. Yes. That's good, of course, but I can't see how it relates to my criticism.

TIFFANY Trump let it be known that SHE is about to get HER law degree too,

What a pleasant surprise TIFFANY has turned out to be!

But none of that provides a good excuse for a campaign address marred by prolixity.

      Delete
    3. Oops! My error! It is Tiffany Trump who just got hew law degree.

Really? Well, my point was that Tiffany Trump should indeed be a great speaker. She went to Georgetown University!

  2. The THIRD NIGHT of the 2020 Republican Convention may be defined succinctly:

A contination of the beautifully coordinated demonstration of a seamless flow of Credibility, Decency, Honesty, Forthrightness, Dignity, Appreciation for all that is Good, Wholesomeness, and an admirable LACK of Captiousness, Vindictiveness, Vengefulness, witless, hostile Dispuatiousness, sneering Cynicism and Guile.

    BRAVO, REPUBLICANS! –– so far.

A lot hangs in the balance tonight, and it almost all of it rests squarely on President Trump's broad, capable, indefatigable shoulders. May God continue to be at Presdent Trump's back and bless him with an indisputable, unqualified VICTORY on November third.

    1. Franco,
I managed to watch most of the third night of the RNC.

I'm not big on emoting and was quite shocked by Kayleigh McEnany's personal story; she managed to connect it with President Trump's reelection, but the connection was a big of a reach, IMO.

Kayleigh McEnany did prove, however, that the GOP can emote just as well as the Dems.

      Delete
    2. Interesting! I thought Kayleigh was just fine. I liked her than I ever had before as a matter of fact. I was glad to see her vulnerable, warmly human side –– a rare treat from ANY presidential Press Secretary.

In my never humble opinion NONE of the many speakers these past three nights lapsed into bathos or mawkishness. All exhibited remarkable composure under pressure, and all were veritable icons of good taste.

Of course in my worldview Life without frequent displays of sincere heartfelt emotion would be about as satisfying –– and productive –– as sex with a robot or one of those blowup dolls.

    3. Franco,
A friend of mine put up this review on Facebook, and I'm sure that you'll love reading my friend's review:

Day three of the Republican convention and I am loving it. The RNC has found a way to turn the lockdown into an advantage and make the convention streamlined. Striking but spare visuals and meaningful settings keep the focus on the speakers. They, in turn have learned to speak quietly and intimately to the camera, one American to another. I love the stories from ordinary Americans from all over the country. I've seen it criticized as a reality show, but it captures what's best about such programs. They remind you that the world is full of wonderful people you just haven't met yet. So, too, with this convention. In the midst of the pandemic and rioting, the speakers are full of patriotism, faith, and optimism. That's the real American, the one I know, the one in which hard work and determination overcome obstacles, and we help each other when times are hard.

    4. A brilliant and beautiful assessment of the tone and substance of the Republican Convention. I thank yor friene for writing it, and thank YOU so much for sharing it, AOW

  3. OUT of SEQUENCE, I know, but I WANT the COMPLETE REVIEW HERE all in one place:

The RNC Convention got off to a BRILLIANT, highly encouraging start.

ALL of the numerous speakers from every different racial, ethnic, and religious background many different levels of society, and all walks of life were genial, dignified, positive, well-spoken, disciplined, and encouraging.

They presented a constructive, engaging and reassuring view of America we are rarely permitted to see.

The only possible false note in the proceedings came from Kimberley Guilfoyle, whose strident, overly theatrical, "Hey, Look At Me,Ain't I Great?" manner obscured the generally accurate content of her remarks.

Other than that everyone else who participated gave a STELLAR account of their positive, affirmative, deeply appreciative experiences they had had with President Trump.

The first few paragraphs (emphases mine):

Jacob Blake had a knife on the driver’s side of his car and was about to be arrested in a domestic dispute when he was shot Sunday seven times by an officer in Kenosha, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

The department released details late Wednesday after three nights of protests and rioting in the Wisconsin community sparked by the shooting of Mr. Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, by Kenosha Police Department Officer Rusten Sheskey, who is White.

The department, which is investigating the shooting, said that officers were called to the residence on 40th Street in Kenosha “after a female caller reported that her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises.”...

We are not peasants or peons, we are a free people with natural rights that cannot be taken away. A government that thinks that violence or self-defense is reserved exclusively to the State is a danger to its citizens.

  12. Trump Makes Riveting Case for Reelection, Shows America What She Is In For If Biden Wins

    Fox News

    by Liz Peek

If the point of a political convention is to get your party’s message out, win over voters and boost your candidate’s prospects, then make no mistake about the 2020 conventions, Republicans absolutely buried the Democrats.

The polling tells us so. Joe Biden got zero boost from the Democrats’ grievance-fueled slog-fest last week.

The Democratic presidential nominee's polls did not move higher; in fact, they dropped, and especially in the critical swing states.

Though it is too soon to determine how the GOP convention shifted President Trump’s standing, we do know that over the past week, his approval ratings have moved higher in those battleground states, and especially on his handling of COVID-19. . . .

  16. Trump’s strong Republican Convention speech increases his reelection chances

    Fox News

    by Doug Schoen

President Trump delivered one of the best speeches of his political career Thursday night as he accepted the Republican National Convention’s nomination for a second term, boosting his chances for reelection.

The president’s 70-minute speech was highly effective in the sense that he drew clear and arguably persuasive contrasts between himself and former Vice President Joe Biden in many areas, including their broad-based visions for America, the economy, and law enforcement.

In a way that was reminiscent of Trump’s positioning during the 2016 campaign, the president made it clear that he is running as an outsider and a non-politician against Democratic presidential nominee Biden, who Trump characterized as embodying the political class . . .

DOUG SCHOEN IS THAT GREATEST OF ALL GREAT RARITIES –– AN ... H_O_N_E_S_T ... DEFECCRAT.
