Much that's fun, but some of it was touching (the little boy who lost his right eye to cancer now fited with an unseeing glass eye –– presumably to soothe the nerves of those who CAN see him.
Also, I felt a lot of empathy for that poor black-and-white (potbellied?) PIG who just wanted to take a peaceful nap. [Ever since I saw the movie "BABE," which I highly recommend to all, I've had a soft spot in my heart for pigs, who may be the most unjustly maligned mammals on earth.]
But is sure is REFRESHING to get a CHANGE from the obsessive-compulsive TV coverage of the ENEMEDIA-GENERATED F_E_A_R of "THE VIRUS!"
I was walking in my neighborhood one day recently and came across a cat sitting peacefully in the middle of the sidewalk. It was a nice looking cat and I love kitties (have two of them at home) so I was preparing to bend down and give the kitty a petting, which it looked like it would welcome. Then I saw the sign around its neck which said, "Do Not Pet Me." In smaller lettering below that it said, "Seriously, don't. I bite."
I hear you Franco, I just had bad experiences when I was very young. But most folks love cats. I also have bad allergies to cats that are debilitating.
SF, I suppose that the human creature feels "I must do SOMETHING, huh?
In this household, I do a bit of hoarding every fall - in preparation for a possible "blizzard," which paralyzes the region for 2 weeks or more. Besides, we caregivers always want a good supply of paper products, wipes, alcohol, etc.

DeleteCats have always helps me to think life is wrth living after all.
I love them. Never met one i didn't like.

DeleteCats can be difficult. So can dogs, for that matter.
Thank you for a break from the hysteria pandemic.
ReplyDeleteMatt Drudge is part of the problem, and has been going back to the Obama years.
Matt Drudge for whatever reason has gone over to the Dark Side.
DeleteToday his site would best be IGNORED.
I haven't been near the accursed place in over a year.
At my time in life I can't afford to waste timentertaining DIRTY, ROTTEN, SCOUNDRELS.
I have NO TIME for anything or anyone that smacks, –– even faintly –– of Sympathy for the Left

SF,
DeleteI'm already maxed out with the hysteria.
The only "HYSTERIA" I like is DEF LEPPARD'S. The summer of '87 was very good to me. All of the eighties.
Delete@KP: :-) Oh yeah. Coming of age in the 80's was awesome.
DeleteAOW, I posted this in the previous blog, but everyone had moved on. Interesting stuff.
DeleteThe Psychology of Panic Buying Toilet Paper
Apparently, there is something satisfying to the panicked mind about hauling something out of the store the size of a camper cabin.

PS: And certain non-perishables, such as rice, dried beans, and canned goods.
