Did You Watch The Engrossment Ceremony?

I did, cringed, and came to some of the same conclusions as Greg Gutfeld ("like spackling a turd with gold paint"):

    So sad.
Such a collection of proven liars, criminally so.
How anyone with a modicum of discernment could not worry and wonder how we have come to this is beyond me.
How can someone look at Schiff alone and think "There's a guy I can trust."?

Pelosi on Impeachment Process: It’s Not a Question of “Proof” It’s About “Allegations”

      Gateway Pundit

      by Cristina Laila

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday responded to reporters asking questions about the impeachment witnesses after she signed the articles of impeachment. For Pelosi and the Democrat-media complex it’s not about proof of any crimes committed by Trump, it’s about smearing him with bogus allegations. “It’s not a question of proof, it says what allegations have been made and that has to be subjected to scrutiny as to how we go forward, but it should not be ignored in the context of other events that could substantiate some of that,” said Pelosi. . . .

SHE REALLY IS OE HELLUVA A PIP AND LULU, AIN'T SHE?

  3. No video and no link are available, but I ve seen and heared MORE than ENOUGH of the doings, defects and depredations of Defecrats to last me several lifetimes.

I am completely TURNED OFF, and pray earnestly every morning and every night that every one of these vivious bastards gets a dread disease and dies a horrible, prolonged, extremely painful DEATH –– and SOON.

I would exempt, of course the hundreds of millions of poor benighted souls who've been DUPED, –– systemtically MISEDUCATED, and craftily SEDUCED ––, into following the dicates of these profane, diabolical False Prophets and Purveyors of Doom who have cleverly foisted their corrosive Systems of Belief.on masses innocent, ignorant, all-meaning souls desperate to find an EASY WAY OUT of accepting the burdens and resonsibilities implicit in simply being alive on this earth.

Just as There is No Free Lunch, there is no Easy Way Out –– with this one exception.

    "Take His yoke upon you,
    And learn of of Him,
For He is meek nd ,owly of heart,
And Ye shall fnd rest unto your souls

    His yoke is easy,
    And His burthen is light."

  5. In the first 100 days since House Democrats began their impeachment push on September 24, ABC, CBS and NBC have aggressively aided the effort. A Media Research Center analysis finds the Big Three evening newscasts have battered the President with 93% negative coverage and promoted impeachment at the expense of nearly all other Trump news.

At the same time, the broadcast networks donated at least 124 hours of wall-to-wall live coverage as they pre-empted regular programming in favor of House Democrat-led impeachment activities. On the other hand, the networks’ frenzy over impeachment has meant the Democratic presidential candidates have been barely visible on the evening newscasts, even though voting is due to begin in just three weeks. Details:

    ■ Bad news for President Trump: During impeachment, the networks kept up the same relentless negativity toward President Trump that they first displayed during the 2016 presidential campaign (see here, here and here for past reports, as well as a description of our methodology).

From September 24 through January 1, we tallied 1,053 evaluative comments about the President, 93% of which were negative. (If you can’t wait 700 words, scroll down now to find out how TV news spun their coverage of the 2020 Democrats. Spoiler: It’s NOT 93% negative.)

It’s pretty clear by now that reporters aren’t going to reward the President with much good press even for obvious achievements such as the strong economy or the victory over ISIS terrorists in Syria (including the killing of their elusive leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi).

But impeachment has increased the sheer amount of this negative coverage, as well as meant even less airtime for the administration’s policy achievements.

    ■ Impeachment has taken over the evening news: In the first 100 days since Pelosi announced the start of the House impeachment inquiry on September 24 (through January 1), ABC, CBS and NBC have generated a combined 849 minutes of evening news coverage about the subject.

For comparison, after Special Counsel Robert Mueller was named back on May 17, 2017, it took those same newscasts more than twice as long (until December 29 of that year, or 226 days) to register the same amount of airtime for the Russia investigation. In other words, the networks are spending more than twice as much airtime on the Ukraine probe as they did on the Russia probe

    1. just listened to most of the video, AOW. All I can say is that I LOVE Greg Gutfeld, because he almost never fails to put a wry, COMICAL spin on his reportage of the outrageous, disgusting, Infuriating, horrific, moronic ABUSES of POWER routinely engaged in by our "duly elected" representatives in Congress and the demons who run the ENEMEDIA.

The REST of that bunch called The Five may make sense –– with the notable exception of the Resident PITA Juan Williams –– but they are dull as bricks in comparison to Gutfeld who is an uncommonly wise IMP with a high degree of infectious charm.

Greg treats the malodoros balderdash oozing out of Dee Cee's rectum, like the frivolous nonsense and putrid waste matter that is is. The others make the mistake too many of US make of treating Dee Cee GARBAGE as though it were worthy of serious consideration and analysis.

It's not. It's a heavy-handed, poorly written, supremely unamusing LUNATIC FARCE.

The only SERIOUS thing about it is that it COSTS US M_O_N_E_Y, and as public policy mght well ENDANGERr OUR LIvES.

    3. "In every government on earth is some trace of human weakness, some germ of corruption and degeneracy, which cunning will cultivate, and improve. Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories. And to render even them safe their minds must be improved to a certain degree."

“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”

      ~ Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

In my opinion Jefferson made a vast undrstatemnt when he said "To render even [the people] safe their minds must be improved to a certain degree."

From what we have seen for more than a hundred years the minds of "The People" must be sedulousy INDOCTRINATED to embrace the tenets on which Western Civilzation was based –– namely, the Ten Commandments. The Sermon on the Mount, St. Paul's Epistle to the Cornthians defining the attributes of Charity as synonymous with Love, and the orinciples of Liberty over Safety, Live and Let Live, and accepting one's lot in life without Rancor, but with Gratitude and Humility..

Without understanding the nourishing and sustaining value of those sacred precepts we quickly descend into the maelstrom of corruption, tyranny, murderous rage, corrosive avarice and brute savagery.

      Disbelieve THAT at your peril.

"Mr. Biden, why did the President try to subvert your Constitutional rights to habeas corpus and due process to get a foreign power to investigate you in exchange for weapons?"

      Fake vs. Real History

      American Thinker

      by Alison Tempestilli

Fake history is a lot like fake news -- left-leaning propaganda devoid of truth and substance. Wednesday’s impeachment display was truly one for the fake history books. Defying the narrative of a somber undertaking, cheery pink suit and all, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi barely suppressed, along with her colleagues, a demeanor of self-satisfaction and sheer delight worthy of the Academy Award. Of course, instead of the Oscar, there was the “Nancy,” a gold pen emblazoned with her name, given to the greatest political performers who act as if they have the best interests of the United States at heart. . . .

  8. The multiple pens thing is the height of riduculousness. Pelosi pretense at playing imperial power.

Bills passed by both houses of Congress, ones which are of historical importance, are signed by presidents with multiple pens so that the congress persons instrumental in passing the bill may each have one. Those pens have the name of the bill on them, not the name of the signer.

It seems to be getting to the point where only VIOLENT INTERVENTION and FORCIBLE EJECTION from POWER by citizen VIGILANTES willing –– as many colonists were in 1776 –– to DIE for a chance to regain FREEDOM.

I'm pushng EIGHTY, so it ain't gonna be ME, but if SOMEONE isn't willing to play Geroge Washington –– and SOON –– we're going to lose EVERYTHING that made us great in the first place.

One thing's for sure the Legalistic Hairsplitters, and Prissy Pea-Brained Ethicists are WORTHLESS when it cmes to taking DECISIVE ACTION. They're much too fond of NAVEL-GAZING and endless EQQUIVOCATION ever to DO anything that could possibly make a difference in the thoroughly ROTTEN Status Quo.

This ridiculous IMPEACHMENT PAGEANT being staged in the Senate is a good case in point.

The tomfoolery that happened in the House and Pelul's subsequent attempt to cnstipate the process was a TRAVESTY and not even worthy of official recognition.

McConnell should simply call it what it is and summarily DISMISS this Farce, then immediately move FORWARD with more substantial business.

These are questions that, if left unanswered, could drive men mad.

Perhaps Existence, ITSELF, is just an illusion?

It could be that each one of us lives in a VACUUM –– alone, - disconnected, -, - trapped in a cramped, airless tube, - suffocating, - of no value to anyone but our isolated little selves.

Connectedness implies RISK –– the possibility of Rejection - Repudiation - Disapproval - Mockery - Ostracism - Execution –– also LOVE!.- JOY! - ADVNTURE - FULFILLMENT!

This Tawdry Impeachment Spectacle Must Run Its Course

    American Greatness

    by Conrad Black

As far as can be determined, the question of whether the Senate should conduct a trial or dismiss the spurious articles of impeachment as unworthy of trial by vote of the majority, is being addressed as a matter of President Trump’s political convenience. Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is doubtless sincere and may be accurate in saying that the acquittal that is almost certain to result from a trial will clear the president more convincingly than the Republican majority determining at the outset that the charges are frivolous and vexatious harassment and simply should be rejected.(Snip) the Democratic line will be they caught the president in wrongful acts but the trained . . .
