Maxine Waters Hotly Rejects Reporter's Question

At Los Angeles March for Truth on June 3, 2017, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, the Democratic Party's Representative for the 43rd District of California, once again declares her mission to impeach President Trump because of his supposed collusion with Russia to undermine our elections.

Same old, same old.  Yawn.

What is interesting in the video below, however, is Congresswoman Waters's reaction to the reporter's question about President Obama's policy with regard to Russia (about time marker 1:04ff):

The Washington Post's article about the above-mentioned portion — and much more — below the fold.
The Young Turks reporter asked the congresswoman why she's been so focused on the Russia controversy. “Russia is not our friend,” Waters said, adding that the country has sought to undermine the United States's democracy by meddling in the presidential elections. Tracey then used Waters's own words in asking his second question: If Russia is not a friend of the United States, was it a mistake then for former president Barack Obama to forge military cooperation with Russia in Syria?

“You and I have a different agenda, young man. I'm out to impeach this president. Get that straight. I'm out to impeach the president,” Waters said, her voice raising [sic]. “I'm not going to be diverted by people who are Obama haters.”
In a subsequent MSNBC interview:
Waters dismissed Tracey as a right-wing supporter who's out to harass and intimidate her....

“They're going to continue to harass me, but that's okay. I'm accustomed to being harassed,” Waters said. “I'm not afraid of them. I'm going to continue to speak my mind in the way that I do.”
Ahem.

Reporter Michael Tracey, the reporter in the above video, works for the Young Turks, a video news network popular among progressive voters:
Cenk Uygur, founder of the Young Turks video network that has become virally popular among progressive voters, is launching a project called Justice Democrats to defeat members of the Democratic Party who have cast votes seen as unacceptable.

“The aim in 2018 is to put a significant number of Justice Democrats in the Congress. The aim for 2020 is to more significantly take over the Democratic Party,” Uygur said....
Apparently, the reporter's pointed questioning of anything Obama-related triggered Congresswoman Maxine Waters.

Or...

Maybe it was a white man's asking an uncomfortable question about the first African-American President's foreign policy that triggered Congresswoman Waters.

Or...

Maybe Trumpophobia has unhinged her. Last month, on the stage of Busboys and Poets, Congresswoman Waters exploded:
“Donald Trump is someone that found his way to the presidency of the United States of America — I still don’t know how,” she said, drawing boos at the mention of the president’s name. “But he’s someone that I’m committed to getting impeached!”

The crowd exploded.

“He’s a liar! He’s a cheat! He’s a con man!” she said, each declaration punctuated by cheers. “We’ve got to stop his ass!
[hat tip to my good friend Silverfiddle for the term Trumpophobia]

    1. Egg-ZACK-Lee! And to me it is a depressing indicator that a large perentage of our poulatiin is either so stupid –– or so deliberately "dumbed down" by our corrupt edicational estabishment –– they are INCAPABLE of making a reasonable decision on peconomic and political matters.

To ME this means we ought to begin to make it MANDATORY that ALL prospective voters MUST be able to pass a QUALIFYING EXAMINATION before they are allowed to esercise the franchise.

Prospective voters do not have to be LITERATE, but before they can register they MUST be able to show a clear understandung of how our system is supposed to work, show knowledge of the issues foreign and domestic that matter most, at a given time, to be able to name their senators and their particular representative, and show rudimentary knowledge of thier backgrond and qualifications for office. Also they should be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of who the candidates are, where they come from and what they stand for.

Members of subversive organizations –– i.e. MUSLIMS, CPUSA, CAIR, the NAACP, the MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, NOW, the SOUTHERN POVERTY LAW CENTER, ACORN, BLACK LIBERATION CHURCHES, the WESTMINSTER BAPTIST CHURCH, the KKK, the ACLU, et al. Should NOT be allowed either to VOTE or to RUN for office.

Don't laugh. I'm serious, and we would be a MUCH better nation if these restrrictions were implemented.

It is WRONG to "EMPOWER" IMBECILES, ANARCHISTS, and SEDITIONISTS. PERIOD!

I agree with this 100% but I don't quite understand why: "Prospective voters do not have to be "LITERATE". In other words how can they take or pass the "QUALIFYING EXAMINATION" if they are illiterate?

This format makes it VERY hard to post direct answers. Discus is MUCH better in that regard. But anyway, illiterates, could be INTERVIEWED by a REAL LIVE PERSON across as desk or table. If they CAN answer questions accurately and state their views sensibly, of course they should be allowed to vote.

If they can't, speak or understand ENGLISH, however, they should NOT be allowed to vote until they CAN.

And if they can't speak ENGLISH they should NEVER b e allowed to vote.

      Tragic, really.

I have to wonder if California is going over the edge. I know that not everybody there is wacko, but look at the governor and various representatives elected to Congress.

I read the other day that Governor Jerry Brown was a follower of Jim Jones. Why am I not surprised?

    1. No, it isn't curious at all.
It's much easier on the decrepit fourth estate to focus on impeaching Lord Dampnut than asking Dems to detail a progressive platform for the mid terms.

Meanwhile no one is taking inventory of the silverware and the congress does what it does best, move wealth from the poor and middle class to the wealthy. They don't care if President Happy Hands takes a dixie. In fact they know they can get their tax cut with Pence (R - Religious poseur) and that's all they care about.

I don't recall any such protest.

      Delete
    4. You didn't hear anything because Russia was never sold U.S. uranium rights.

A South African company merged with a Canadian company.
A controlling interest in that company was purchased by the Russians primarily to get mining rights in central Asia.
Since the sale involved a critical resource in America(uranium) the sale required permission from several U.S. agencies.
Cabinet level permission was not required.
Since the uranium is a critical resource it cannot be exported without permission. It stays in the U.S.

      All legal.
      All in the open.

Best to get back to how Hillary ordered Seth Rich killed.

I've always seen Waters as self serving and corrupt and she is mouthing off about impeachment (which would only result in a religious freak becoming prez) because she is a typical Dem avoiding presenting a progressive program.

You didn't think Beauregard stonewalled the obstruction f justice questions? Seems there's smoke there maybe fire.

Then your ass must be a seven alarm holocaust.
Sessions could not answer those questions about his private conversations with the President without direction from the President. It is covered under executive privilege. Sessions also cannot claim executive privilege without direction of The President, only the President may do so.

This is all well established under the law.

Also there is the question of the President receiving candid advice from his advisors and staff. If every word they utter is under the scrutiny of a McCarthy or other rabid witch hunters such as the Democrat party or you.

A third reason is that as Attorney General, Sessions, serves as the Presidents lawyer, not in private maters but in matters of the Constitution and Government and is covered under attorney client confidentially.

It just seems that Sessions is tad more honorable than you lot of rabid hyenas.

One question, which "Progressive" program did you have in mind? Perhaps rounding up all of the untermenschen and achieving a "final solution"?

Do you mean about an event that hosted some 1400 people all shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries? You say 30 times, you know if you ask the same question of someone and expect a different answer 30 times, there's something wrong with "you".

    DUCK SOUP a la PTOMAINE

    INGREDIENTS

One 5-6pound DUCK, defeathered while still alive, then brutally slaughtered
    S&P to taste
1 onion, about 1/2 pound, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 carrot, trimmed, scraped and coarsely chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled and thinly sliced
    10 cups rich chicken broth
1 cup mushrooms, preferably shit cake or other wild domestic mushrooms
    2 cups cooked wild rice
1 cup finely minced raw leeks
1 cup finely diced raw carrots

    PREPARATION

Cut the duck into serving pieces. Crack the backbone in half lengthwise. Cut away and discard any peripheral fat from the duck pieces. Sprinkle the pieces with salt and pepper.

Heat a heavy kettle and add the duck pieces skin side down. Add as many pieces in one layer as the kettle will hold. Cook these pieces until they are nicely browned, about four or five minutes. Continue until all the pieces are browned.

As the pieces are cooked, strain off and discard the fat (most of which is found in the head.)

Return all the pieces to the kettle and add the onion, coarsely chopped carrot and garlic and cook three minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the broth and bring to the boil. Simmer about one hour or until the liquid is reduced to about six cups. Repeatedy skim off the huge amount of SCUM and FAT bound to accumulate from the top.

Remove and reserve the meaty duck pieces, such as legs, breast, thighs and so on. Discard the bony parts, such as the backbone.

Strain the six cups of duck soup into a saucepan and bring to the simmer.
Remove the meat from the reserved duck pieces and cut it into small dice. There should be about two cups of meat.

Cut the mushrooms into small squares. There should be about two cups.
Put the mushrooms, diced meat, wild rice, leeks and carrots into a kettle and pour the hot soup over them. Let simmer about two minutes.

[NEXT you must throw the whole noxious mess out. Ingesting anything made from this vile creature could very well make you violently ILL, and could even lead to DEATH.]
