Oh, I don't know. ALL my cats have always been proud, inveterate Conservative-Libertarians.
They know they are loved, well-fed, well-cared-or, much-appreciated, and live in the lap of luxury. They ALSO know which side their bread is buttered on. };^)>
Cats are a great deal smarter than human beings.
Cats KNOW when they are well off, and act accordingly.
This makes people susceptible to their considerable charms to want to go to the ends of the earth to do everything possible to ensure their comfort, safety and contentment.
I don't have any pets, but I do have some off the wall stories about friends and friends of friends who had pets. I'll never forget my best friend's dog Pluto. I remember an experiment we thought about, one day when my friend and I were young boys. We wondered what would happen if a dog were ever to get drunk. My best friend's grandfather happened to be at the house that afternoon for a barbecue, drinking a beer. When he heard us talking, he poured a few onces of his beer into Pluto's water bowl. Pluto was a small dog to begin with, and a puppy at the time. We watched Pluto staggering around, stumbling as he walked, acting playful, and finally a bit belligerent as Pluto tried to bite my hand. From that day onward, if Pluto saw anyone pouring something from a bottle into his water bowl, he would refuse to drink the water. Pluto was one smart dog. I was blessed to be able to hang out and have some fun with my best friend and his pet. My nly regret was the incident which lead up to watching Pluto get drunk. That taught me a lesson about animal cruelty. Pluto was loyal to the end, and brought plenty of joy to me and my best friend's family.
I dunno. We have one - Little Bear - who I think may be trying to talk politics to an unreceptive audience of other fur covered critters. An eruption occurred in the family rooms just hours ago....

Two reasons that I've always loved kitties.
Of course my doggies and kittehs love me. Both of them are conservative to the core and love Trump.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne,

ReplyDeleteMystere,
DeleteGreat story!
My dogs and cats have always been teetotalers. Me, not so much.

ReplyDeleteKid,
DeleteOur two torties, Mysti and Amber, got into it a little while ago. I turned off the news. :^)
HA !
DeleteMy kitty makes a fine butt warmer in my cold house, as long as I sit WAY forward off the edge of my chair. :)
ReplyDeleteBaysider,
DeleteI know what you mean! Cameo crowds me in both the recliner and the bed. And if I try to move her over? SWAT!
